Underappreciated in "Heartbreakers," she and Gene Hackman are both hilarious. And I was so lucky to see her on stage yrs. ago with her college pal playwright Chris Durang in a thing they put together called "Das Lusitania Songspiel" which was one of the funniest things I have ever seen, I almost literally laughed myself sick.
Love her! This movie looks so good. Also really loved her and Kevin Kline in Dave! Love their chemistry on screen and both are such great actors. So so happy for her and looking forward to seeing this film.
I hate to comment on people's physical appearance when their work is so good. But it really delights me to see an American actress who didn't have a facelift (no hiding scars in front of the ears with her hairstyle) or Botox (her forehead is expressive). Signourney Weaver is a great actor and always will be. Brava, madame!
In the other part to this interview she talks about being her size at 11. As a 6'5" women my self I get that we can never hide that or hide at all really. Now she is one of the most badass women in Hollywood history, scars and all.
@Kass McGann There really shouldn't be anything wrong with complimenting someone in their appearance, and as you've noted there's a lot more to Sigourney Weaver than her looks.
That's an interesting observation. I've enjoyed all of her work over the years and her beauty was only a small part of it. She certainly has a great carry about her.
I think complimenting them for loving themselves is different than pointing out flaws with intent to demean. You're coming from a place of admiration. So a physical appearance complement is always socially acceptable.
Sigourney Weaver is fabulous; a bona fide star. Great looking woman with the confidence, understated cool and maturity who has aged naturally. A real Hollywood icon who doesn’t need to be the centre of attention. All class.
Im pretty sure shes had work done - she looks much better than the last few years and definately you can see she has filler in her cheeks but i think shes had more than that - I fully support anyone to do anything to their bodies that makes them feel better...she's definately ALL CLASS!
@@drmarmal8 yes shes a woman. Rhats implied. People need to stop constantly highlighting this stuff and labeling trying to be politically correct. Modern Hollywood is so braindead.🙄
It wasn't her line, but she was in the scene. "They mostly come out at night... mostly." The fear that lone sentence made me feel for her character has stuck with me ever since.
*Yeah...I get it* *Or the line "This little girl survived longer than that with no training and no weapons!"* ( *That's an f'ing line right there that 'emasculated' every male since the beginning of time* )

I so want to see this movie! I think she is one of those abnormally talented actors/actresses who blow your socks off in cinema. And this story in particular seems out of this world. Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver can bring a story home like no other, so I can't wait to see this one!! She is absolutely gorgeous BTW. Powerhouse, love that when a woman stands tall and then some, without losing her femininity. And she proves she is both definitely a woman and also someone not to take for granted nor too lightly. Damn... Can we have some more of those rather than all the girly girls, please?! Thank you....
Wow! If Sigourney Weaver was the President of the United States, Peace would finally be possible everywhere on Earth. Grace, beauty, intelligence and leadership. Who wouldn't want to go through a wall for her?
Such an amazing actress. Not sure how she feels about the role at this point but i'll always love her as Ripley since aliens was the first thing i ever saw her in growing up in the 90's and is one of my favorite movies.
I love it when Stephen can continue a bit from his monologue or Meanwhile segment by inserting it into an interview with a guest. I would definitely watch "The Good House" if Sigourney Weaver was dipped in rare butter by lobsters.
I can't believe Sigourney Weaver has never won an academy award 🤔🧐🤨. Nominated 3 times but she's never won. Unacceptable. She should have at least 2 by now 🏆🏆.
Such a monumental actress, and no gorgeous miss Weaver, that is not a cruel pun to your height. Just simply so enjoyable and engrossing in whatever she is in, Alien and Aliens of course. But for anyone who hasn't seen these two, you should also really check out 'A Monster Calls' a very tragic coming of age story with Liam Neeson as a giant tree monster, among others. And an obscure one, Snow White, Tale of Terror...where she plays the wicked step mom. Only in this version the 'wicked' step mom is antagonized by Snow White, constantly rejected, ridiculed and after a miscarriage she develops schizophrenia and starts talking to her mirror. It is at times a bit camp, and yet such an interesting take....and for a b-horror movie Sigourney Weaver shows such acting range.

Sigourney Weaver always been one of my favorites actress. I was luck to meet her in New York early 2000’s. It was a dream came true 😊

Sigourney still looks amazing. Brilliant actor and always enjoyable to watch.
I just love this woman, I love the way she talks, I love her sense of humor, her sense of fun and her wit, the world needs more women like her ✌️
'Dave' is one of my favorite movies, I could watch it any time it's on!
Loved her ever since I saw her in Alien. What a wonderful actrice, and what a lovely interview. So glad she's doing well.

Being asked out on a date by Sigourney Weaver! WOW. I just......WOW!
I'm 32 and I'm thinking "Me! Me!"

she is a goddess
I will definitely be seeing "The Good House" for a lot of reasons. The fact that Sigourney Weaver stars is just one. But it's a good one.
She's absolutely gorgeous!!! Should be in more movies or TV!!!
Underrated movie. Sigourney hasn’t been given a leading role like THIS in a long time and it makes the movie. Kevin Kline also is fantastic in it.
"Mm dipped you in drawn butter" - that was smooth af
Still beautiful, funny, witty, intelligent, and knows how to dress.
What a wonderful actress... She is fantatstic in that movie, of course!!! I loved it.
She's just a class act. So few of today's actresses have that level of self-confidence and classy behavior.
She's awesome.
I've always had a crush on her, helped start my gay awakening.
That’s so gay
My fave of her movies was The Year of Living Dangerously with Mel Gibson and Linda Hunt.
Yes, 1982, they were so young.
that woman has never had a problem playing aggressive, loved her in alien and everything after.

Wonder where it's streaming?
The Ripley backhand basketball shot on UA-cam - she is AMAZING!
What an awesome person!
In my humble view the classiest and most down to earth Hollywood Star… if she was british it would be Dame Weaver. I adore this woman.
to meet her someday ... one can only hope . 😢
I hope they did the Colbert questionnaire 🙏🏽
Sigourney Weaver is a national treasure, I get the sense Steven is not a big Sci-Fi fan.
She’s charming.
