So the problem comes from 2 fronts, 1 the Ezio fansboys that cant let him go and 2 Desmond dies in AC3. So because of these 2 factors AC3 gets hate despite having one of the most unique OST and a tragic character. (Alot of Ezio fans that ive interacted with dont understand Connor and think he should be happier or funny,)

Altair is also confirmed to have never been hit once in his prime that’s why he doesn’t have a health bar, he has a synchronisation bar. He’s by far the most deadly Assassin cause he could kill everyone in a room without anyone knowing he was there

I think it’s safe to assume that Connor is the franchise’s version of Batman. Think of it, his backstory and his entire battle is a tragedy. He lost his mother at such a young age. But he is also the strongest of Will out of all the other Assassins we played as. Even in the end, he failed, he failed to protect his people and their land yet he remained true to the creed for the rest of his life. The more you think about it, this game was actually some of the best written in the whole franchise, revealing that not everything is black and white in the Assassin/Templar war. He may have freed the colonies of Templars but in doing so he had set the course of future genocide and relocation of his people. As he helped a new nation being born he failed to preserve another. The game revealed that maybe things that were being done by the Templars were for the right reason, like William Johnson trying to buy Connor’s village so that under his name it could be protected from the expanding colonies. Or John Pitcairn as he tries to deescalate the violence from becoming into a full scale war through preemptive force. Mind you the methods may be crude, but their goals were intentional to benefit the colonies and sustain order from descending into chaos and violence. You actually see the main villain, Haytham make some very good points on the consequences of Connor’s actions and even revealed to Connor that maybe the creed isn’t what’s best for the colonies at that time.
I think, the argument was that, by siding with Haythem, we submit to a order dictated by a clic of people. as opposed, to wild chaos, and the freedom to choose, even if the latter produced worse results. :l
This game's writing gets thrown under the bus so much by people who only take Connor at face value. I can usually tell someone who dislikes the game or connor hasn't paid attention to the story at all if they say something like "he has no personality, he's just angsty and angry all the time" because that's all false.

Throughout the Ezio trilogy, the Templars are depicted as irredeemable, diabolical, perverted, and downright ruthless. While in AC3, we’re given Templars that have some merit behind their goals, not saying their cause was better, but throughout AC3 with their dying breathe they have made some good points to Connor. It gave a much more gray light to the Assassin/Templar conflict.

I love the story of ezio. I personally don't think that ac2 was the best in ezio triology. I personally think that assassins creed brotherhood was the best and had the best mechanics. Also I find assassins creed 3 more character developing plus it had the best soundtracks in franchise in my opinion.

I had finally finished Ezio's story, now there is the story of a new character, while Ezio grew to be a man, this Assassin did not, he was a boy forced into the body and world of men, a novice among mentors. now we shall see if he can rise to the challenges?
AC3 and Unity are missed gems in the AC franchise to be honest. AC3 easily has the best villain in the series(no one can ever beat Haytham), the vaulting is the best, dare I say even better than unity’s vaulting, and the double counters are very smooth and satisfying. I love ezio with all my heart, but it was nice to have a change of pace with a protagonist that has inner struggles with even people he trusts like Washington and have a personality that is more deadly/assassin like. People think Connor had no life but when you play the homestead missions(specifically the wedding) you could tell he’s a lot more happy and full of life than you think.
I love Sarah Schachner but she lacks epicness on her work, yet she's a young talented compositor so there's still time to improve. Lorne on the other hand gave us this.
