Got a 95% on my Physical Assessment Test because of you . Thanks bro!
So happy to hear it! :)
So what did you miss if you don’t mind

Reminder: Carotid arteries should be auscultated (listened to) before palpated. If there is a bruit, we don't palpate because you don't want to accidentally break off the buildup attached to the artery (potentially causing a stroke). Great video overall! Cheers!
Who would dislike this video?
Honestly this is by far the best video on Head To Toe Assessment.
I'm happy to hear you liked it. A bunch of haters tho lol :p
Also found this super helpful. Thank you.
Nurse Bass A very small bunch.
Awesome NurseBass! He went straight to the point in a straight English. Sometimes instructors can be very technical and complex on simple topic like this one.
Someone who is a know it all. Fuck hatas
way better and straight to the point than 80 percent of the videos out there. Thanks
Glad to hear it brother 👊🏽
I'm doing my first head to toe assessment today! Thanks for a quick tutorial. I picked this video because I didn't want to waste 40 precious studying minutes. Need a quick brush up before I head in. Wish me luck.
You were way more thorough than any of my instructors. Thank you for the help.
Huge help! I start clinicals tomorrow, haven't done test outs on head to toe assessments yet, however I know this will be a huge part of clinicals. Thank you for clarifying this in a no nonsense-this is how I do it-approach. This is exactly what I needed.
I'm in my first semester in the ADN program at my school and will be tested on this next week. I was actually pretty nervous because our instructors kind of leave us to our own devices and we have to figure things out on our own (unless we ask questions), but this video made it so much easier. Just hearing someone talk it through the whole thing helps a lot. I'm so glad I found your video, it's really helpful. New subscriber for sure!
Great job! I've been a nurse for 4 years and am now in NP school. I stumbled across your video and really enjoyed it. I'm sure you are an inspiration to tons of students, especially male. Keep up the great work!
you are so good. I whish my instructor was as good as you.
This helped me so much! My first assessment literally took me an hour 😂😂 Our instructor doesn't really go into detail about assessments and we're all still so lost about it but this video was awesome!!
Katie Russell sounds like my school😩😂
I recorded my teacher performing it so I could practice it over and over we all got 20 minutes to do ours
Thanks for this video, you basically summed up a full semester of Health Assessment in 13 mins. !! :)
+Amayrane Diaz Hahah,, yeaaa no problem! I could have gone into much further depth in regards to abnormalities to assess for, but I didn't feel like making you guys watch a 45 minute video haha :p
@@NurseBass I would sit for 2 hours and watch watever u have to say cause u break things down very easily. Can u do video of talking about the abnormalities
This helped me lots in my second year which was the first time I did a head-to-toe assessment. Now I'm going back into acute care for my fourth year, and you're helping again. Good foundational knowledge. Thanks Nurse Bass.
Dude you are amazing, been a nurse for 9 years and loved the update for me. Seems we all get comfortable with our assessment, just reignited my assessment skills. THANKS! Winny Med/Surg RN
Super happy to hear it Winny! Keep on!
This is sooo good! Thanks! Fast and a run through.... totally pointed out a lot of things I'm not observing/thinking about and reiterating things I've herd as a first year student. Thanks for posting!
Friend, you are gonna get me through these damn two years. Thanks so much for doing these, they are SO MUCH BETTER than ATI. Keep it up!
Thank you for this video! You're really good at teaching and explaining!
Great video! My assessment class has been a joke, but this puts everything into such a clear perspective. I am subscribed!
This really awesome. I've been scrolling looking for a good assessment description for my nursing students. This is the best talk through I've seen by far!! Thanks!!!!!!
I'm an LPN (for about 12 years now) currently in the process of getting accepted into an RN program. They are making us do skills check offs, one being a head to toe assessment, which isn't something that is all that common for LPNs to do. I have been a nervous wreck, going over landmarks in my sleep!! This is the most helpful video and info I have found yet. Thanks!!
+Becky Hromyak Haha well you're very welcome and I hope that it proves to be helpful! And good luck to you! :)
I really appreciate the quick but insightful overview with pretty much no bull shit I really appreciate it.
Thanks Bass. Just started NS this fall and am excited/blessed to have you as a resource! Best wishes from Wilmington, NC
This is exactly what I was looking for. Not too much detail, just the basics to give me a quick refresher! So helpful, thank you thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos! You have a great way of explaining and they are truly so helpful!
SO awesome!! I love how practical, down-to-earth, and logical your explanations/rationale are!! THANK YOU for helping make sense of this process for me!!
This was so helpful and straight to the point!! Thank you!!!!
Currently taking my first validation next week on vital signs and head to toe, this helped a ton!!!
I love this guy! I am taking my first head to toe assessment tomorrow. This tutorial was very informational and super fast.
Dude you helped me sooo much I can’t tell you how much I wish I could give you a hug. You really worked the head to toe physically and the systems and I NAILED my assessment so THANK YOU
Even as a student you had so much confidence! Thank you for the constant knowledge.
Just found this today and love the teaching/explanation very accurate and simple. Be blessed

Love the video! Starting my first hospital clinical tomorrow and this video helped me prepare major! Thanks!
Doing my first assessment today and just gotta say thank you for this vid.. years later and it’s still helping us newbies! 🙏🙏
make sure to know which questions to ask, some you can clearly marked off. I totally asked a post menopausal 77 year old woman when was her last period it was so embarrassing . she laughed though so yeah that happened.
That's funny, but don't feel bad. I asked a lady who had gotten hit in the eye with a remote controller her pain scale; and then asked her where the pain was located. Totally didn't think that one through...
+Nurse Bass at least we're being thorough right?? lol.
Aishaoaktree1122 hahahahaha I'm dying at both of your stories. That's hilarious.
Aishaoaktree1122 mmm lol thanks for the heads up
Nurse Bass lol
I dont know what to say. Went to skills lab a couple days ago, the professor demonstrated the head to toe assessment and I left skills feeling overwhelmed and depressed, lol. I've got check off a few days from now and all of my study materials really complicate things. You make it seem so simple and actually fun. Thank you for doing what you do Nurse Bass. Thanks brother!...#FutureMaleNurse
Thank u! My first official clinical is tomorrow and your video helped A LOT! Thanks Nurse Bass 👍🏼keep up the awesomeness 🙌🏼
You are gonna be a great nurse, bro... for real. Knowledge is fundamental, but personality is essential when caring for people. Good nurse equals knowledge + personality.... and you got that! Best of luck! Thanks for the inspiration and support.
Literally this video is amazing. I'm freaking out about my head-to-toe assessment check off this coming week and you definitely helped calm my nerves by giving detailed explanations of everything.
This was the most helpful head to toe video I've ever seen. Thank you!!

Very helpful :) loved it and you made it sound so easy! Your confidence is something every new nurse/nursing student desires!
Well thank you very much! People compliment me on my confidence a lot so I must be doing something right lol :P
Thanks Nurse Bass. Just got signed off on my Pharmacology Clinicals. Moving on to Med-Surg thanks to you. Teacher asked me at the end: What do you think you missed? I was thinking real hard but I need I covered all your steps. Told her I didn't think I missed anything because I remembered all your steps. She said you didn't. I need you to be more confident. Yep, I was nervous but I did it.
Huge help!!! THANK YOU
well done man. You give me courage and reminded stuff i was forgetting. Thanks
Thanks alot for this video! One of the quickest and best assessment video I have seen on UA-cam! And you got everything covered :)

Thanks for this video! I just started a nursing program, and I like the sequence of the assessment you constructed. I'll be sure to keep watching your videos. 👍🏾
Thank you so much...you gave me confidence and peace of mind
Wow. This is amazing. I’m in my first week of Nursing 1 and I’m preparing for my head to toe assessment and your video is so straight forward and easy to understand. Thank you!
Great job ...one of the BEST head to toe assessment videos.
Thanks!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment :D
My biggest like for this vid is the way you make this general assessment flow. I think that's sometimes the hardest part of learning all of the individual assessment separately. There's no flow...and every prof says, "you'll develop your own style and sequence". But it's nice to see (or hear) a nurse putting it together, Profs don't repeat their expected flow more than a couple of times. This is helpful to practice to and develop a timely routine for a H2T assessment. I also love that you are very verbal...it helps to absorb info even when I'm busy with housework or something and can't watch the screen. Thanks Nurse Bass!
Angela Blake You’re so welcome! Now hone those skills! ;)
thank you im being tested out on the focused assessment today, but i have to have a good base to go off of. you are great thank you
