Khalid Hakami I agree that he’s a wizard but this trick is pretty amateur actually, I can’t believe it helped him win AGT when most of his other tricks were pretty unexplainable
It was explained this way in another Shin Lim performance video: he uses his pinkie finger to mark the spot of the chosen card, so when he starts flipping through the deck, he can immediately see which card was selected; he then sets up the four stacks so that the chosen card (and its equals) are on top of each pile. From there, his directions move the card to the bottom; then back up to the top, of each pile. Ellen selecting the pile with her own card is a gamble, but the magician can simply talk his way to four different endings (and make each of them seem "magical") depending on who happens to have picked the pile with the chosen card.
smirk x Ok here it goes. He looks at the Card Ellen picks real quick before he makes her shuffle. Then very obviously he separates the cards into 4 piles all while looking for the 6s then when he has Ellen pick her pile(which he puts right in front of her) he tells her to pick it up(if she picked the wrong pile he would tell her to hand it out to somebody else) all the 6’s are on the bottom of the deck so when they count their cards they move to the top. Cool trick but pretty easy to figure out, I mean I figured it out and I couldn’t figure out 99% of his tricks

Bukolasmiles yo mad respect for catching that as well. Shin has great audience management. It’s the same trick he did on the reveal show for AGT but he handles all the spectators really well.
chad kohl This is called magician's choice. It's when the magician remembers which pile has the chosen card, and forces the "chosen person" to end up with that specific pile. If Ellen had chosen any other pile, he would have told her to give it to someone else, until she chose the pile on the far right. Shin just got lucky there that Ellen chose the right pile on the first try, but that's not what matters. What matters is how flawless he did the trick and how he successfully controlled 3 people at once.
First saw him on Penn and Teller Fool Us and he was great. Penn even says when people stop him they say , "Hey, you have that show where Shin Lim performed". Love it
Simple trick, he quickly looked to the card (min 1:19) then everything else was easy. He made 4 piles and put the card, and other "6" cards on the top of the piles. Now he just needed to keep an eye on the pile and to whom the chosen card will go to. After Ellen picked the pile, by mere chance, he made her and others move the top cards to the bottom of the piles by asking them to put one card on the table then shuffling the remaining cards and put them on the cards placed on the table. At this point he knew that the chosen card is now at the bottom of Ellen's pile, as well as the other "6" cards. After they throw few cards he made them count the cards they still have just to bring the "6" cards to the top of the piles. Then he simply asked them to flip the top cards, which turned out to be the chosen card with other "6" cards.
i noticed that too. She was so close to screwing it up for him. I still dont know how he knew ellens card in the first place. You can figure it out from there if you pay attention.
well actually i know the whole trick and i know how he control all the 6 cards movement, even he know what ellen's card was after ellen stop it earlier
easy I know this trick already Shin Lim 1. he locks the card that Ellen chose to 6 diamonds Magician can force (fast hand can do it in internet trick you can search) 2. when He shuflles ,he talk to distract everyone from cards he chose every number 6 into the lowest of 4 piles 1:36-1:37 you can see he found number6 3. 1:50 he leave 6 diamonds to nearest to Ellen if she didnt chose it, He can claim that other who dont know Ellen card can find 6 diamonds 4. he force everyone to leave 1 card down at 2:12 (that's every single number 6) and shuffle what ever you want 2:31 now every number6 is in the lowest of every piles then 2:42 - 3:07 he force everyone to make every number6 on the top of piles by talks and distract by poke rules blah blah blah 5. everyone has number6 on the top of piles whatever u shuffle its not a shuffle anyway its already plan now he can claim a magic
I saw both this and AGT, and i figured out all the steps on how he did it in different circumstances, depending on what the players involved did during the trick.
I know how he does it. I will make a reveal video on my channel. Get seen by Ellen. Flown to the show. Perform it Live and bask in my 15 minutes of fame. Ok, scratch that. I have NO idea how he did that.
@@theendorsement lmao obviously not, shin lim is a fism (kinda like the Olympics of magic) winner and is one of the best magicians today. No one is in one the trick

Card Players would certainly know how this is done, but to non card players just observe every move in this video and you will get it. Shin is just having fun.
Harder than it looks, considering that you'll have to find the four 6s and place them on top of each pile discreetly, in a matter of few seconds. Of course if you wouldn't mind acting awkward and spending a whole minute stuck there, it would be easy.
OMG SHUT UP. In the video revealing the winner EVERYONE is talking about Glennis Grace. I get she's talented but she already has so many albums out. If you wanted her to win so badly you should've voted for her

Magic exists.
It's magic.
Me too god bless god amen bless you too bless all the cancer survivors too I’m a survivor
I've seen him doing this in multiple shows and still cannot stop surprising ...
The way Ellen says , "Wow!"
He is stunning and so TALENTED 😍🔥
Army
He very, very, very good at doing his card tricks!!!
He well deserved it...congratulations agt 2018 winner
Audience is like we saw this on agt.. same..
Even if they did. It's a different card with different audience live in front of their faces
Shin can do a thousand times of this trick in a hundred shows and still won’t get bored of it.
Plus on AGT the guy didn’t pick the pile shin put in front so he told him to give it to somebody else
Singers sing their songs on all shows.. What's the problem
chad kohl This is called magician's choice.
You are amazing Shin Lim
Thank You sooo much dearest 💐
You’re such an inspiration 🥰
Be Blissful Eternally 🙏🏼😇
Now! The whole world know why Shin Lin had won AGT 2018. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Tetep suka sm mata n senyuman mu,sukses terus yah, terima kasih untuk pertunjukan yg mengesankan dengan senyuman dan mata yg indah .
This trick is probably the easiest one to do if people are actually following the instruction
explain pls
If you slow down the video to 0.25 speed... it will take you 4 times as long to be completely amazed by this Wizard of a man!!
First saw him on Penn and Teller Fool Us and he was great. Penn even says when people stop him they say , "Hey, you have that show where Shin Lim performed". Love it
No doubt Shin really have a great talent so he won the AGT title. He really didn't stop to amazed me.
He is so cute!
Yeah, but WAY too cute for a basic ass plain looking, typical white girl like you. (WAY too cute for ANY whites)
Great
@@jtz3563 I don't get it
J Tz is obviously just mad because his life is shit so blames white people for his shortcomings
@@LucidPreditor lmao agree with you
He is awesome and has some attitude also. Gonna be a big success. Way to go Shin Lin
“That’s why we booked you”😂
This is not a Magic or either slight of Hand... It's beyond Magic.. This is world greatest card magician at its best...
Unbelievably impressive
The only card trick I can do of all Shinlim's AGT performance as this trick doesn't involve any sleight of hand, just a trick
Sameee
At 2:40 the blonde girl is lifting up the cards revealing the chosen number to everyone. Shin was probably sweating waterfalls at that point
Shin Lin is very good at magic it blue my mind so much
Simple trick, he quickly looked to the card (min 1:19) then everything else was easy.
*Omg look at **2:32*
Only the People that actually know the trick can understand why Shin frecked out (old lady was so close for messing it up)
i noticed that too. She was so close to screwing it up for him. I still dont know how he knew ellens card in the first place. You can figure it out from there if you pay attention.
What happened?
well actually i know the whole trick and i know how he control all the 6 cards movement, even he know what ellen's card was after ellen stop it earlier
@@joshuaethanyap2657 she almost took cards from the bottem of the deck and by doing that the trick wont work lol
;;(
I love cards trick, genius, skillful and entertaining 😂
easy I know this trick already Shin Lim
1. he locks the card that Ellen chose to 6 diamonds
Magician can force (fast hand can do it in internet trick you can search)
2. when He shuflles ,he talk to distract everyone from cards
he chose every number 6 into the lowest of 4 piles
1:36-1:37 you can see he found number6
3. 1:50 he leave 6 diamonds to nearest to Ellen
if she didnt chose it, He can claim that other who dont know Ellen card can find 6 diamonds
4. he force everyone to leave 1 card down at 2:12 (that's every single number 6)
and shuffle what ever you want
2:31 now every number6 is in the lowest of every piles
then 2:42 - 3:07 he force everyone to make every number6 on the top of piles by talks and distract by poke rules blah blah blah
5. everyone has number6 on the top of piles
whatever u shuffle its not a shuffle anyway its already plan
now he can claim a magic
wow nice analysis
Facts, hella underrated comment
0:22 that got me so good ❤😭😖
He’s a great person
@@bostonhockey1000 yup
I saw both this and AGT, and i figured out all the steps on how he did it in different circumstances, depending on what the players involved did during the trick.
I know how he does it. I will make a reveal video on my channel. Get seen by Ellen. Flown to the show. Perform it Live and bask in my 15 minutes of fame. Ok, scratch that. I have NO idea how he did that.
I do he forces it
I know how but the only thing i dont understand is how he knew that ellen would pick the right pile with her card
😂
@@mini-fh8hk exactly!!!!! Could she have been in on it? Her pile she choose was the one closest to her..and she picked 1st. Shrug
@@theendorsement lmao obviously not, shin lim is a fism (kinda like the Olympics of magic) winner and is one of the best magicians today. No one is in one the trick
Remember Shin said at the beginning that this is not really magic but more of a game. It is a game indeed which has magical effect but not for competition purposes. Card Players would certainly know how this is done, but to non card players just observe every move in this video and you will get it. Shin is just having fun.
Ernesto Cqn no, card players would not know how it was done. He only said it was a game since that’s the patter he chose
He's so likeable!
Of course it's not magic. It's a trick, a beautifully written, executed and performed trick. Glad he won, he truly is talented.
Such an easy, almost self-working trick. The magician actually does very little to accomplish it. I will try it myself too!
Harder than it looks, considering that you'll have to find the four 6s and place them on top of each pile discreetly, in a matter of few seconds. Of course if you wouldn't mind acting awkward and spending a whole minute stuck there, it would be easy.
It's all about the showmanship.
@@blackgoku678 Absolutely
Easy? They shuffled their piles (some appeared to include bottom cards) after he handed them out and he didn't touch them afterward.
I won't reveal how it's done, but you might just want to watch it more carefully one more time :)
this is the only trick by shin lim that I kinda know how he did it, but still he did it amazingly
Let me guess, there's a 9 at the bottom. 😂😂😂 okay I'm just gonna see myself out 🚪🏃
Now here's a comment I'm surprised to only see this far down the comment section. XD
PLS. Let Glennis Grace be a guest too. It nice to have Shin in the show too.
UltraCoolRP I agree!
Glennis Grace is a famous singer for almost 20 years in the Netherlands, I don't understand why she didn't did it 10 years ago
@@Verdiz700 Omdat ze slecht management had
OMG SHUT UP. In the video revealing the winner EVERYONE is talking about Glennis Grace. I get she's talented but she already has so many albums out. If you wanted her to win so badly you should've voted for her
taesty taehyungie Exactly!
Amazing🎉... 2024 i looking for this...
It's an amazing ability!!! He knew ellen': card since the begging and when she gives him the cards back the, while he's talking and distracting the girls, he's preparing all the six's, each in one pack, and in the bottle of each one! So in the end, when he tells the girls to count the cards like him, the last card will become the first one, so no matter what they do with the other cards, the six's will be in the bottom, and in the end will be the first because of the last counting he tells them!! I think that's what happened hahah
there is only one question left, how he did make Elen choose the correct deck?
@@enistocilla9383 You can see how he does that on AGT. He knows where the card is, and so if Ellen would have picked the wrong pile, he would have said "Give that pile to someone else" until she picked the right one and then he would say "Keep that one for yourself". I just don't understand how he knows the card at the beginning 🤔
counting cards brings the bottom card to the top, but normal people will never realize that
ikr
He got them to control the cards for him. Pretty Slick!
