@@zona9155 Actually I dunno if it is rehearsed, I watched a vid with mac lethal and he talked about his experience going on ellen and he said there was pretty much very little interaction with ellen before and after the show
Actually this was even more amazing with the bright studio and the camera up close without the dark atmospheric setting which usually is used to obscure the trick flaws, all the more impressive.
Amazing performance. Shin is my hands down favorite of the new generation of magicians.

To be frank, all the contestants he ever competed were purely OP in their own ways. But at the end of the day, it's the matter of who is able to pull it out their talent in a very astonishing manner. So not to judge others 1st is the right thing he did before went in for battle.

Awkward audience... I'm sure He will think twice before going back on that stage! I feel sad none of them cheered up much or maybe they didn't understand the trick? I have seen the audience reaction from AOT and man it was great!
I would prefer fewer effects done with speaking rather than music. For me the use of music seems to be trying to get the audience to give the same kind of ovation they might give ballet. He wants people to think "wow that's beutiful" I'd rather see a simple spoken card trick.

@@dsakax No Shin Lim performs to the music, he doesn't perform magic he performs art. Watch some of his own performances, the full length ones, and listen carefully to the music and watch his hands, he moves with the flow, very soft and then sudden movements, it's actually beautiful.
He is so amazing, one of the best magicians
It's not just that Shin is great with card magic, yes his sleight of hand is what could be close to perfection, BUT it's his innate sense of showmanship that put him on top. He was born with this rhythm and his love for music which, after the incident with his hands, he took that talent to card magic and who would have thought that something amazing would come out of it. Yes, Shin is great at card magic... but Shin wouldn't be where he is today if it wasn't for his years of dedication to music AND magic.
Penn Jillete said to Shin that he believes if even one part of the trick is discovered by the audience, the entire thing falls apart. But even then, Shin's entire performance still holds up. I love Shin and it's not just his card magic I love about his performance. Try this, turn the sound off and see if the performance is as good as it is WITHOUT the music then you'll see that Magic isn't his only talent.
If I could give this infinite thumbs up I would. Shins performance timing is what makes his performances what they are. I actually didn't realize this till I watched his thoughts on the top change when it hit me how much timing is to him and how he just sort of gets it.
Shin is a musician himself. He studied music theory and was a pianist (until he suffered from carpel tunnel).
