It's celebrated by the US cuz the French planned to divide and conquer Mexico, if they happened to succeed, they were going to continue their tactics and continue to the north and do the same in U.S. but thanks to the Mexican people who fought throughout Mexico against them, overcame, weakened and discouraged the French and their allies to abandoned their mission.
That looks so smooth and fresh 🍓
Thank for sharing the history about Cinco de Mayo. Most people don't know the history. In reality in Mexico it's not that big of a celebration since it was just one of the battles that was won. It is more highly recognized here in the US on maybe because it gives people a reason to celebrate and cook up get together. Gracias por compartir😊
i just made this and it tastes so good!!!
The strawberry agua fresca looks delicious. 💜
It’s an excuse to get fucked up🤣( coming from an American )
@@luzfierro607 I like you theory but you’re thinking way too hard into it we celebrate any little random holiday just to have an excuse to drink no big conspiracy just many alcoholics
@@luzfierro607😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂 ni como ayudarle
@@ag4054 I'm a philosopher studying migration. I assure you it's not only about the alcohol. There's always more.
I understand if you don't share my opinion tho
Your voice is so soothing
Those strawberries 🍓 look so deliciously sweet!
Alot of us do bc we love Mexicans, we love the culture, food, how they can party etc.
Or just look for a reason to party and get drunk.

@@JOHN_DOE_RETURNS get what?
As an American, we celebrate the day because it’s an excuse to get together with friends and drink 😂😂😂
YUP
AMERICAN ??? FROM WICH COUNTRY ??? 🤔🤔🤔
@@eloinaseguro5230Considering I don’t know any South or Central American that called themselves ‘American,’ take a wild guess…
@@eloinaseguro5230Use your 2 braincells for one second and think about what country refers to their people as Americans.
So every weekend?
You have change my whole kitchen ain't gonna lie ❤
Idk why we celebrate it either lol. In our Spanish class our teacher taught us about it and we got to throw a little party. I have Mexican ancestry but unfortunately didn't experience much of the culture growing up. So I like to celebrate to also feel close to my roots and to appreciate other cultures! Life is so much more exciting when there's variety!
Instead of may 5th, celebrate Sept 15 and 16! :)
Americans will use any excuse to:
1. Ignore history
2. Get drunk
🎉
The French could have attacked the US next if they had conquered Mexico, and the US was vulnerable at that point in time.
Since Mexico pushed the French out, the US didn't have to fight for its own existence.

Looks delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipes with us!
I'd drink that in a heartbeat.
I'm Polish and my gran used to make a dessert like this for my dad when he was young, my parents and I still make it.
We wash strawberries, cut the stems off, and crush them with a fork in a bowl. Mix some sugar into them then let them sit for a few minutes to bring out the sweetness. Pour single cream into them and mix, serve cold in bowls, and eat with a little soon.
It's almost like a strawberry soup, I usually just call it strawberries in cream. It's one of my absolute favourite desserts.
Sorry for the long comment, just wanted to share :))
Same, I can definitely relate to your comment. My parents would do the same thing but use sour cream! Tastes sooo good!
Ayooooo Starbuck’s WHO?? 🔥🔥
OMG SAME!! (polish but mostly German person)
...That's just strawberries and cream tho
