Can you flip the lower part of the handbrake so that it sticks out the way a streetcar's handbrake does? I know this requires disassembly but the mounting holes seem to allow that.
Haven't you guy got recently an error with windows? (descriptor driver error 43) it suddently came up, the handbrake was working fine until 2 weeks ago
I don't know why, but mine has a giant deadzone in the start and when it starts detecting the travel it reaches 100% so quick, almost before middle of the total travel. Does anyone has any tips on how to calibrate this or mod?
Was the usb cable hard to push into the usb hole? I ordered this, and got it then go to plug the usb in and the little thing just snaps with ease. Wasnt to happy but i sent it back and am getting a new one from them.
It wasn't difficult in plug the micro USB. I've had no problems, but I can tell the micro USB connector is a fragile component and a yank could break it off the board. Use a cable tie to told the USB cable to the shifter to relieve any tension and you should be fine. Mine arrived already like that.
.... No no no.... to make it a horizontal handbrake... you pull the slip ring. Take out the main bolt and flip the whole upright handle. That sets it to horizontal position.
It doesn't work out so well, I've just tested it. What happens in this orientation, the lever hits the plastic cover holding the controller board and that could easily get damaged. It was worth testing it out, so thanks for the comment.
Like how did u get it connected to the pc did u just plug it in then it started working or did u have to like go into settings or something to connect it
@@darraghmcdaniel6217 Yes, it's plug and play. Once connected it will show in the Windows 'Game Controllers' panel. To show that panel type Game Controllers in the 'Type here to search' on your desktop. If that's all good, then you know it's working. Then you map the handbrake in-game to the handbrake setting in your driving game. Basically, just like mapping any other device, button or key.

Well I got my USB handbrake but the mounting bracket the screw holds slightly off at the back they don't match how was yours? I told them grrrrr
One of the bolts is slightly angled, you can see it here. ua-cam.com/video/dyxRyXr8QnI/v-deo.html
I wouldn't say it was a major issue, as it all held together firmly. I wonder if just using two bolts, one front and opposite angle on the rear would still be okay?
Is this also compatible with the Logitech G920 wheel?
On PC yes, not consoles.
Sure thing, thanks man
What is the difference between 14 and 16 bit?
2
is this compatible with the logitech g29 for forza on pc?
What button do you bind the handbrake to in game for it work?
There will be a Handbrake key binding in the game. You map the handbrake to that.
Sim Racing Corner Right but how does the pc recognize the handbrake in game? Do you just engage the handbrake while binding it and it recognizes it?
@@zachmikovitz5616 Yes, just like mapping keys, or pedals. Exactly the same principle.
Sim Racing Corner thanks bro!
Will it plug into any USB on the PC and will it work on Iracing? Man it's cheap
Yes to both
5:40 i assume its just because its setup for drifting, in the majority of cars setup for drifting (in my experience) you will find the handbrake will be setup pretty loose. i personally like it that way myself also
Where can I download that handbrake program/software to change my handbrake settings as you did in the video?
Not even a please.
Can you flip the lower part of the handbrake so that it sticks out the way a streetcar's handbrake does? I know this requires disassembly but the mounting holes seem to allow that.
I tested that and it doesn't work, as in that orientation, when pulled the lever collides with the cover housing, containing the circuit board.
@@SimRacingCorner I see. Finding a horizontal handbrake for simracing is a bit hard so I was wondering if this worked. Thanks.
It’s overpriced now which sucks, it’s the same cost as a thrustmaster hand break but either way it seems legit great review
That is not the case now, one year later. At least in my country (Norway)
under half price, ofcourse before shipping and taxes
What does the 16 bit mean
It refers to the steps of sensitivity. 16-bit resolution = 65536 steps
Haven't you guy got recently an error with windows? (descriptor driver error 43) it suddently came up, the handbrake was working fine until 2 weeks ago
Shoot I got the handbrake with no clamp can you help me find a solution that would REALLY HELP
its working for other games to ?
like assetto corsa etc
Yes
What shifter was that
Anybody know why the Z axis stays stuck on 50% whilst calibrating the handbrake?
What’s the difference between 14 bit hall and 16 bit hall?
Higher resolution of sensitivity
Sim Racing Corner I’ve found one that’s 14 bit hall for about $70 which is better for the budget. Will it still perform as well as the 16 bit hall
I am pretty sure it does but I wanted to verify if this handbrake will work with Forza Horizon 4
@@lyyn8545 I expect it will work just as well
@@lyyn8545 I don't know
I don't know why, but mine has a giant deadzone in the start and when it starts detecting the travel it reaches 100% so quick, almost before middle of the total travel. Does anyone has any tips on how to calibrate this or mod?
me: hears coupon code
video: sorry if you're late and miss the expiration
the video came out almost 2 years ago lmaoo
Was the usb cable hard to push into the usb hole? I ordered this, and got it then go to plug the usb in and the little thing just snaps with ease. Wasnt to happy but i sent it back and am getting a new one from them.
It wasn't difficult in plug the micro USB. I've had no problems, but I can tell the micro USB connector is a fragile component and a yank could break it off the board. Use a cable tie to told the USB cable to the shifter to relieve any tension and you should be fine. Mine arrived already like that.
@@SimRacingCorner yeah yours looked like it went right in, mine i had too add some force witch caused that too snap but thank you.
Hi, does this handbrake work in Forza Horizon 5 game on PC?
Yes
I want to buy this but I have a chonky desk just wondering what is the size of the clamp?
How thick if your desk?
@@SimRacingCorner 40mm
@@roryharty6954 You're okay, 40mm is just within the limit of the clamp.
I just got one but... What does the red hook thing do?
You can ignore that. It was for holding the handbrake fully locked.
@@SimRacingCorner ok, thanks
would it be possible to mount this like most handbrakes in cars are mounted so you pulled up on it instead of towards you?
The handle is adjustable and I demonstrate the orientation you have described this in the review.
Will this work with a drive hub for consoles?
@@SimRacingCorner oh really... They should have cloned my design better then lol
Do i need a clutch to work with handbrake
No
See when u plugged the handbrake into the pc how did u connect it cuz I have the same exact handbrake
What do you mean exactly?
Like how did u get it connected to the pc did u just plug it in then it started working or did u have to like go into settings or something to connect it
@@darraghmcdaniel6217 Yes, it's plug and play. Once connected it will show in the Windows 'Game Controllers' panel. To show that panel type Game Controllers in the 'Type here to search' on your desktop.
If that's all good, then you know it's working. Then you map the handbrake in-game to the handbrake setting in your driving game. Basically, just like mapping any other device, button or key.
@@SimRacingCorner cheers thanks must say the vids are good wish ya all the best
@@darraghmcdaniel6217 👍
Does the code still work?
Is this only for PC or can you use it for Xbox?
PC only
how many kg?
please help! When i got the handbrake and tested it on my pc and it doesnt work :( is there any fix?
Does it show up in the Windows Game Controllers panel? Also what game/s have you tried it with?
@@SimRacingCorner It comes up but it doesn’t work
@@businesskaram8134 so it doesn't register movement in the game controller properties?
@@SimRacingCorner Yeah
@@businesskaram8134 it sounds like it's faulty, you should contact the seller
Can I use it with a T150/G29....!? How does it connect to the wheel...!? Thanks 😊✌️
It's plugs directly in into a PC USB socket, and works with any wheel. It's not consoles.
