Cement production - four billion metric tons a year worldwide - produces a lot of carbon dioxide: 2.8 billion metric tons, around eight percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. This is mainly due to the calcium oxide required for this process. It is obtained from limestone, which essentially consists of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). This is burned, releasing CO2 and leaving the calcium oxide (CaO) that we crave.

Animation and commentary is not properly linked. In Rotary kiln at inclined position raw material is fed, which is heated to 1400°c temperature this forms clinkers.
I am grateful for the video and it helped me for my exam, and it would really be helpful if you also make a video on the manufacturing process of tannery and glass. once again thanks alot

Thank you I think we can shall may vphv understand the importance truth and value of each material on this planet and use them effectively but at the same time in appropriate quantities and process at any cost........................as ot is healthy happy and safe, over and excessive use of cement can lead to skin ulcers allergies and further damages can shall may vphv be prevented at any cost........................so it is imperative that we can shall may vphv understand the importance properties of each mine and produce appropriate quantities only like 300 to 400 tons only for country and fix rates appropriately like crore for steel and lakh for cement as then only demand can reduce and hence people use it effectively for good purposes at any cost........................

Great for carbon footprint. Concrete, brick or wood?
Good explanation of the wet and dry processes.

Thanks , s🎉🎉amll cement factories is it ? Posible ,?
This is really good but what's important to know which cement is better for which building dry is better or the wet make ?
Wet process is must important to build the construction

Why gypsum is added in cement??....good !...but less explanation!
Gypsum is added to delay the setting time of cement. If it is not added cement will become hard immediately when water is added to it.
