Rubble from buildings, which typically consists of concrete, bricks, and other construction materials, does not naturally turn back into cement. Cement is a specific binding agent that is used to make concrete by mixing it with aggregates like sand and gravel. I hope we answered your query.
Question: I get the mix that goes into making concrete. However, why can't a driver add water when they get to the construction site ?? This would end any trucks ending up with a load of solid mix in their mixer. Is this a problem ??
They can and they do but more water reduces compressive strength. It's really an amazing science but the sidewalk in front of your house doesn't have to maintain the same level of criticality as the Hoover Dam or the launch pad at Spacex. It's more than just water (slump), it's mix design and Time from batch to pour, air...etc.
Pretty sure this is cement he’s talking about mate, concrete is a mix of cement and aggregate and there is no aggregate mentioned in this vid (unless it does mention it and I just wasn’t listening)
Yeah mate just rewatched and the stuff he’s packing off is defo cement haha, maybe you’ve just called it concrete but the guy in the vid is defo right lol
How I wished, there could be a cement factory in my Town, we have plenty of Lime materials in out Town at, Candoni, Negros Occidental, Philippines. But, we don't have interested investors in here.
I'm confused, the bags are 50kg each. How does a person lift them on a regular basis without injuring themselves? The bags in my country are 20kg each to help avoid injury.
Why do they not use the heat used to make electricity,,,,,all that resources used on one task ,can't the government have electric plants be built using the waste heat needed ,,,,why no one ever talks of this
Sorry but what is mirl or what sounded like that and if we don't already know the mill types telling us what it isn't doesn't help. This assumes we already know the process and equipment.

This video explains the process really well
Ohorongo cement in Namibia. I went there in 2nd year of Engineering on a school trip. Glad its featured here.
Gosh I love crushers and mining equipment. My favorite line of work.

This is compelling, keep it coming
Excellent documentary.
Thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation. What part of the manufacturing process you liked the most?
hello how are you doing
My favorite part of the manufacturing process was just looking at pictures of the quarry. Thank you for your time

thanks to explain whole senario of cement product without steping up:)
I worked at the coal fired power plant before, the coal that was burned & turned into ashes became cement

Why are the bags so heavy though? Is it because construction workers didn't do well in school? Sounds like punishment.

The kiln would be the hard part 😂. I laid brick in cement and lime kilns and the are huge. Takes alot of power to run them.
Very informative.
Interested to know how much power (energy) is needed to produce 1 tonne of cement and where will it come from in future??

Adding water at the construction site can compromise concrete quality and strength. It's best to ensure proper mixing at the batching plant.
