    Does Rubble from buildings turn back into cement?

    • @engineeringworld.
      @engineeringworld.  Рік тому +1

      Rubble from buildings, which typically consists of concrete, bricks, and other construction materials, does not naturally turn back into cement. Cement is a specific binding agent that is used to make concrete by mixing it with aggregates like sand and gravel.

      They can and they do but more water reduces compressive strength.
      It's really an amazing science but the sidewalk in front of your house doesn't have to maintain the same level of criticality as the Hoover Dam or the launch pad at Spacex.
      It's more than just water (slump), it's mix design and Time from batch to pour, air...etc.

    • @engineeringworld.

      Adding water at the construction site can compromise concrete quality and strength. It's best to ensure proper mixing at the batching plant.
