Dude you’re a surgeon of Electronic! Fantastic job! I’m sorry you didn’t read earlier a post on Reddit saying right away that it was the 14pin cable, you would have saved all the time and stress to remove the thumb stick. I’m going to order right away a flat cable for mine with the same exact problem but razer should ashamed! They should call back from the market these faulty product and refund customers. Shameful!
Thanks, I'm annoyed too! After reading up it seems like it is a common issue which I can see why with a folding ribbon cable, might need to look at a different controller for when this breaks again!
Mines done the same. Unfortunately folding designs like this are prone to ribbon failure as ribbon cables arent what i would call a hard wearing cable. They are brittle and they expect constant folding and stretching of the cable is going to be okay. Got a cable on the way as Not sure if its just me but that cable is stupidly thin even for a ribbon cable. Legit thinner than a fall leaf 😂@fixingmoddingbuilding
If you can't press it down and you've taken it apart make sure the stopper isn't protruding outside the device. If it just doesn't work but the rest does. Maybe your trigger module has gone bad.
Hey idk if you still need help with this but my left button near the trigger was broken. When i opned it up a little plastic piece fell out. It was a bracket to hold the board for the left trigger. I just super glued it back trying to keep it square, let it cure for 24 hours then put it all back together and tested. Worked greatly.
How were you able to remove the left shell? Mine is completely shut, as if it was glued. (Yes the screws are off, but it seems it won’t open.) Please help my left bumper has been broken for the last 5 months!! 😭😭
@@fixingmoddingbuilding Sorry my bad, I meant it as a phrasing but it just feels that way. But yes, I’ve removed all the screws and it feels like I’m going to crack the shell if I attempt to lift it off (Edit: I could open it an hour later and fix my bumper. The case was just stubborn to open)
Hey there! I have the same problem too. I wanna ask bout the ribbon, what kind of the ribbon cable should i buy? Because here in Indonesian local online marketplace, i found 2 different type of that. It says there's are One-way cable and reversible cables. So Which one should i buy?
Stick drift. Basically means the potentiometer for the stick is either needs calibration or is faulty and is aiming downwards. I'd try using a bit of isopropyl in the stick (not take apart and take stick cap off

My sticks work but the left one squeeks, same happens with the triggers ...I think it's a bit dusty on the inside ...how do I clean it?
Open it up, I would use a bit of isopropyl to clean the inside

No glue on mine? I would say double check you haven't missed a screw that's keeping it all together?

@@PunkieDudieit is a bit difficult to open. If you carefully pry it should pop open.

I would think that is stick drift then?
