So for the comments that are regarding my opinion on Day Of The Gusano, I personally feel that it's the weakest era when it comes to overall performance from the band, but especially with Corey as he was extremely overworked by this point and you can really tell. I've been a die hard maggot since I was a child and in no way am I a gatekeeper, but I tend to skip that show very often as there is an abundance of better performances out there. The reaction from Michael Rosen is the exact one that I thought when first making this video so it's just how I genuinely feel, but it's unfortunate as this was the era that I first seen them live so in a way it still means something to me. This video is just for shits and giggles though so just take it with a pinch of salt! 😁
You're spot on imo. I think the band as a whole felt kinda disjointed during that era and you could really tell during their live performances. They were just going through the motions and tried to live up to what is expected of Slipknot I think. It was only after Chris was kicked from the band that the fire was somehow lit again or at least that's how it felt to me.

Tbh, Michael seems the kind of bloke who would actually enjoy a bit of Slipknot.
This is how it should be, don't point out the bad albums because none is bad and nobody cares of what you don't like

No I definitely like The Dying Song alot more aswell, but at the same time Yen is just one of those songs that you can't get enough of imo

I love all of these albums and I honestly think Gray Chapter and AHIG are super under rated. TESF for me was just a little disappointing. All the songs are good just the album as a whole feels too mediocre for a Slipknot album. If that was a band's debut it would have been revolutionary and amazing but because it's a Slipknot album it's just, meh. Not bad, just meh.

I realised after making this that I left out both MFKR and All Out Life 😅 MFKR would probably get the "it's a bit rich but okay" one and All Out Life would get the "really good" one

Everyone seems to be complaining about Day of the Gusano (this is the first time I’ve ever heard about its existence: granted I’m only a casual Slipknot fan), but I’m worried about “great” being used as a descriptor for The Gray Chapter.
It’s given a bad wrap but it’s actually an extraordinary piece of music; if you trim some of the worse songs off of it it almost feels like a slipknot concept album

WAYNK is their best album since the first two by far and when you're talking about that old Slipknot feel, Chapeltown Rag definitely shows that more with both it's sound and lyrics

I kinda lost interest after All Hope is Gone honestly. I miss Paul and Joey like nothing else. I feel like Paul had the secret ingredient as far a songwriting, I can still hear Slipknot when I listen to new stuff but it isn't the same to me.

Imo I really don't think AHIG is their worst album (Snuff, Psychosocial, Dead Memories, Till We Die, and Sulfur are absolute bangers), I just think a lot of the songs on the album are kinda forgettable (also if I were to put MFKR in my ranking, I'd definitely put it above AHIG but under Volume 3).

Every live Slipknot album pales in comparison to Disasterpieces! That was when slipknot sounded peak!
Pretty accurate. Everything after the first 2 was kinda mid compared to the example they set. If ur talking about the band on stage however, everything after the first 2 was ass. Literally is just scripted now.
Yea you’re pretty much right, Corey’s live vocals have sucked until recently and the band keeps doing the same set list over and over again. I love Slipknot, they’re probably my favorite band, but one thing they need to do is change up the live set list and maybe start introducing some songs that maybe casual fans have never heard of before
@@ethanshorb3568 Every time they did that, the audience just stood there. You'd think songs like Metabolic would start pits all over the place, but they just stand there waiting for a song they know. Not the bands fault.
In my opinion The dying song is the BEST song of The end so far
