Hacking a Bird

Space cybersecurity is the final frontier for the hacker community. Although there is a significant overlap between skills used for hacking networks, websites, and IOT devices and those skills needed to hack devices in space, there are also a few skills that are unique to this endeavour. This presentation will be separated into three sections. In the first section, we will briefly cover the areas of overlap and cover in greater detail the unique skills needed to hack devices in orbit. In the second section, we will cover the anatomy of a satellite. Combining pieces of the first two sections, the third section will describe the attack surface of a satellite system.
