I was watching videos of dangerous roads and came upon one guy in a old beat up Toyota hilux, that truck was unrecognizable for all the traveling/ transporting people that guy used it for. The road was like a jungle setting, huge road ruts that lasted for miles, and then crossing small rivers. He used a wooden ferry raft to get across one small river and it sank right on the banks. It stayed half underwater for about an hour before someone could pull him out. He worried if it wouldn't start but all he did was empty all the water out of the engine and other parts, put oil back in, banged it with a hammer here and there and it spurted for a bit and it started again. All his passengers back on board and back to the road. Incredible.
I like Toyota because they always make sense. They integrated a truck bed and camper shell into one piece. I've owned 4 of them over the years while my family was growing up and thank God for Toyota. They didn't use much gas, never broke down and hardly ever needed any repairs of any kind which was good because raising kids is expensive. I think the first one went 250,000 miles which was unheard of for a Ford or Chevy at the time. But we had one that was given to the kids at school and that had close to 400,000 and still didn't burn a drop of oil.
YES! won't go wrong with TOYOTA, had 3 of them and one is a hilux which took a beating like nobody else and almost burn the engine due to a radiator leak n n been using it for 16yrs. just got hold of a landcruiser with cabin. Trust it will have many yrs of good service life
Toyota didn't make the camper. Remember the old Toyota Chinooks? They didn't make those either, all of those campers are made by coachbuilders. The name of the Thai coachbuilder that made the camper shown in this video is all over the camper.
Toyota fanboys do my head in and I have 2 of them myself. Toyota didn't make this camper. And they do break down, alot. My hilux is on engine number 2, and I know engine builders who have sent their kids through university thanks to the 1KD Diesels like mine blowing heads and using oil. It seems those who praise Toyota the most generally don't know hardly anything about vehicles.
This is by far the best design I've seen. The fact that you can fit 4 people in this space is absolutely genius. I've looked at other options with way more sq footage and less bedding. Absolutely beautiful!
I truly love this idea. Travel and home without the 18 wheeler feel. I would have enjoyed one of these throughout my travel nurse career. All the money I would have saved simply having one of these to invest in.
Toyota is a very good vehicle. Been a auto mechanic for 48years. To bad American companies can build a better vehicle, the American auto makers sent both of my kids to college.

I own a similar RV (Chinook) with a rear entrance. Seems logically, but can be a bit problematic, when using hitch carrier for bicycles or dirt bikes. It blocks the entrance. I like the 4-seat sitting, so that everyone can sit and strap in while in town or so. It would be nice if the two rear seats can be turned around and serve as part of the living space when stop.
It's a great idea and valuable for money. When I travelled to New Zealand on 2019 and stayed in the caravan for a about 1 month - 4 person. I bought a mpv early this, and need to wait another 3 years to settle housing loan then I can afford to buy this car.
RV and Camper have different DOT rule as per passenger wise in the USA. This is an RV not a truck, they going into the RV market, people have different tastes, this would be the kind of RV I like 👍
Gorgeous rig! Just wondering if it were better to take out the back row of seats so you can extend the camper space forward. You could always have seatbelts in the fixed seating in the camper area, or configure the camper seating differently for additional passengers. Wonder what the price for this rig is?
As a former trucker. The cab looks very comfy. Plenty of space for a guy like me. Of I was planning on living by the river. This evening would be in my too 3 vehicle choice.
That’s brilliant design execution! Especially having the bed over the cab creating room for 4 passengers. The back however would be too crowded for 4 people. It’s a one or two people mini rv. I’d remove the two rear seats and extend the living space. I’m actually surprised it came with a full shower and kitchen. I’m guessing it costs an arm and a leg though. lol
Thought the same about the rear seats, but I would actually keep the living space the same size but make the thing shorter to minimise the huge rear overhang…
