  • It is good to react to this girl again. Her voice is so gentle and powerful at the same time, it's uncanny. Please subscribe for more and comment your requests if you want to see more videos like this. Thank you! :)

    Glad you have made it to the Amira bandwagon. Never listened to opera until Amira.

    Not bad for 12 years old. Heck the best performance of this piece at any age. My opinion.

    Interesting to hear your explanation of her control of those high notes... She makes it look so easy. By the way, at the start that was a different piece of music... I forget the name right now. Another video which is mix , of Amira singing two sings is the combination of a shortened ' O Mio Babino Caro' followed by 'Your Love'. I think you'd like that one, it also has the high note! , and the music transition from one song to the other is gorgeous. The whole production is gorgeous.

      He already reacted to that one, it was his first reaction to her I believe. He was very critical and said "she needs a lot of work" which didn't go over too well with her fans!

      @@adusiedoo794 Yeah, you're right. The fans were also right to react the way they did in that video. But after a 4-month break from UA-cam of not only vocal improvement but spiritual growth in God, I felt confident to get back into reaction videos for all the right reasons.

      The introduction was "The River" by Morricone.

    I agree with Andrew that her performance of ‘’Ave Maria by Gomez at the Canisius Church ‘’ is simply mind blowing. How an 11 year old can have such a clean, powerful voice with perfect voice control & immense passion is beyond me, and then she has this beautiful, natural vibrato. This performance could be used by adult singers as an example of how to sing properly.
    Also, with all of Amira’s performances, there is no straining. Whatever register she’s in, she does so effortlessly, & is never out of breath.
    Cheers Graeme. ps. You’re certainly improving as a Reactor, & I know you like to show us that you can sing, BUT, give it a miss please.

      Yeah, I'll try to make sure my voice only comes in for demonstrational purposes. I understand letting their voice shine above your own is the courtesy of the reactor, so I'll try to accommodate that.

    Yes, she was just 12 years old then, but had 3 years of experience behind her by then. The music is by Ennio Morricone, ( a favourite composer of Amira ) it was written for a film The Piano. The instrumental version is called Gabriel's Oboe. The introductory piece was from the same film and is The River. I like, and appreciate your reaction, you know a lot more about music than I do, I just enjoy it. I noticed that with each verse, she seem to raise the level by a note, which gives a sense of buding. She opens quite low, she has said she finds that harder than singing high. The third verse opens at her comfortable level, then soars. She has also said, she likes the ending of songs, where she can really put her all in. Just let it go.
    She is utterly gorgeous, both as a singer and as a humanitarian.
    Another song of hers you might want to analyse, and enjoy, is the Ave Maria Gomez that she sang at the Christmas concert in 2015, when she was 11, a year younger. The vocal gymnastics of one so young are astounding, and the backing a lot less sophisticated. Primarily a church organ played by her father.
    Other songs I can suggest include Hallelujah ( it's not the L. Cohen one). Gabriella's song ( another film song, sung in Swedish ). The Flower duet, with Corlea Botha, or La Virgine degli Angeli. There is quite a repertoire out there to explore.

    Of course it's not opera; it's from an Italian film. The music was by Ennio Morricone; the occasion was the "Afrikaans is Groot" concert in November 2016, in Pretoria, South Africa. Amira was 12 years old. There were 31 items on the program, this is number 25 on the program.

    A great reaction to beautiful, indomitable, wonderful Amira! You may want to also check out another young operatic singer named Laura Bretan. She is of Romanian parentage but lives in Chicago. Won Romania's Got Talent at age 13, and placed in the finals of America's Got Talent the same year. She is now 21. Beautiful young lady with an exquisite, unearthly voice! She sings opera, Christian, and classical crossover.

    Italian, words by Chiara Ferrau, music by Ennio Morricone for the film The Mission. For months Morricone refused to allow his music to be used for a song, but eventually gave in to Sarah's persistence.

    Ennio Morricone wrote this music and Sarah Brightman wrote the words and sang and recorded the original. The last note in Amira`s performance was trance scribed up to C6 (high C). Brightman, is a Mezzo Soprano. It is early, but I think Amira is a Lyric Soprano.

    I think I have said this before. DO NOT TRY TO SING during the video being reacted to! Your viewers come to hear and see the subject perform, NOT YOU. You are the reactor NOT the performer. Your voice is NOT that good!

    • @MadMusician
      @MadMusician  Рік тому

      Don't know what to say pal since I tried to sing in places and for reasons that made sense in this video as well as the fact that you don't decide what happens and when I sing on this channel. Is it more appropriate to keep quiet to let them sing and THEN analyze their voice? Yes, but if I have something musical to bring up and a demonstration makes it clearer, then imma sing. One more thing: I might hide your comments in the future if you try to say this one more time, especially since we both know I can sing well, even if she's much better. Don't care, just a fair warning.

      @@MadMusician Actually I do not think your voice is that good and I notice numerous others have commented that you should not sing especially during the performers performance. Make comments if you want to sing do it at the end.

    • @MadMusician
      @MadMusician  Рік тому

      @@fredshipman6596 I feel like you're confusing your distaste for my voice with being a bad singer. I'm a good singer because I have the foundational vocal skills in place and can connect emotionally to any song I choose. You don't like my voice? That's fine, but just know that one's taste should never and will never determine what makes a singer good or bad.

    • @MadMusician
      @MadMusician  Рік тому

      Also, I realize that not every singer I react to will have the same preference of not singing during the reaction as Amira fans will so I'll try my absolute best to not sing at all until the end like you said, but it doesn't help to communicate that when anyone shouts in the comments like you did. Thank you for mellowing out and being patient with me.

If you want to build your fan base don't distract the viewers give the reaction. Good luck and do more Amira she is very popular. If you have not noticed the performance with Andre Rieu had over 76 million views!
