Thanks for your good presantation. Would you please show me how you get the length of cape line and elbow line with their width . Also would you pleade use black marker pen to demonstate your pattern and mark the measurement on top of each step. Because the seeing is better for me than lestening on your explanation. Thanks I like the way you present step by step.

Hi, Have you watched my other videos in this series? This is where I draft the sleeve ua-cam.com/video/ORcn8sGQ_6I/v-deo.html This is an early series of mine. Take a look at later versions, starting with this one - ua-cam.com/video/M26hyT90jrI/v-deo.html. Thanks for your feedback.
@@angelakanetv I never draft outside of digital so I can see how the fabric forms the body as I model it. When I do this there's something wrong with the fabric, it looks off, but I cannot discern what the problem is because I can't identify how fabric is manipulated especially when you introduce curves. Many of these videos I see on youtube have general guidelines, but I want to learn from a person that understands the theory. Which can determine how to make a fitted shirt for an orangutan, or a tree just like its easy for most people to draft a fitted cover for a box.
Hi Rannoux, I was just about to reply to you and I notice you have now been able to join my site. Thank you so much for trying again. Let me know if you need any help. Thanks again.
Hello, the two free patterns, the Pinafore Dress and the Sleeveless Top are both designed to be sleeveless and the armhole shape is not suitable for sleeves. Please continue to follow as I will be adding a Free top with sleeves Pattern soon. Thanks for commenting.
Thank you, Angela! And you are very correct, I still remember making my own patterns. Of, course it was good 20 years ago but it still gives me a better understanding of a garment construction.
Hi Irishagold, Yes, I have enjoyed working on these tutorials and especially looking back over old notes from college days. The basics don't change. Even when I was studying fashion, there was so much emphasis on drawing - I was much more interested in the technical drafting. It's the same today.
@@angelakanetv Seasons greetings, Ma'am. The remaining ease on my sleeve is 1Cm is that good enough or what can I do to add to the ease? Thank you, ma.
This is perfect, thank you! What should one do if the measurements do not add up?

Seems complicated & time-consuming but I'm sure its worth it! If only I had the time/money to invest in a membership & fabric to start with.
