Warning ! My 1967 Camaro R/ S rag joint failed at 70 mph taking an off ramp in 1996. Didn't know there was a recall to replace nuts and bolts to a larger diameter. Hit the jersey barrier hard and snapped the axle on the 12 bolt differential and the wheel backing plate and all passed me doing 79 mph
Good afternoon. My name is Gilbert I have a 68 Firebird. I am trying to finish and I am having hard time. I live in Glendale Arizona. Wondering if I could get in touch with you to ask you some questions. Or if you could finish the car for me? I have been watching you building the red Firebird.
If it wasn’t for the fact it was my brothers and has such a history in our family... I wouldn’t have brought it home. Thanks for watching, appreciate it!
@@ArrowheadGarage Yes, I saw that.. I'm over here in East mesa with the same car basically, but not in as nice shape as yours. 😉👍 I've been a pontiac fan for decades.
Just came across this, I subscribed to follow this birds resurrection, sorry for the loss of your brother, glad you got the car.
Hey Skip, its been a challenge.. being a Metric guy and learning the differences between a chevy 350 and a poncho 350 lol
Good old Arizona! I lived on the corner of Main street and Dobson road in Mesa, AZ.
Sweet, am just down ole Ironwood in Queen Creek!
Broken bolts, rusted parts. A lot of work, but will be way worth it when you get it done. Looking forward to the next one.👍
Getting there.
Turn the wheel with the frame and it will roll some anyway.😊
That’s gonna be a badass ride once you get some work into it. Love them first gen fbodys
Eric thank you man, this is going to be a real change from my air cooled knowledge! lol
Back to the Valley of the Sun and mega heat coming your way soon. I hope that you have a good AC unit in your garage.
I invested in a big swap cooler for the garage, it makes it a bit easier to wrench on the ole Bird here in the Summer for sure lol
Love the floor jack! I have the same one.
LOL the neighbor used the tire rim as a jack stand.. I said a prayer and luckily it didn't shoot out under the car!
That way will hold it up but it won't roll the way he put those under it.
Great Car, but It's a lot of work. If one day it is completely finished, I will give you a barrel of the best German beer. Promised.
You got yourself a deal John! Keep watching my friend, thank you!!!!

With all that work getting it to ur house now it has to be a complete redo.
Absolutely man, I am on the hunt for a 400 to rebuild for this Bird. Thanks for watching and supporting the build.
That was a real blessing in disguise. Thing is, it looks a total wreck. Is it cost viable to restore it?
If it wasn’t for the fact it was my brothers and has such a history in our family... I wouldn’t have brought it home. Thanks for watching, appreciate it!
Its not that bad, It needs a new roof though
I would have been calling U-Haul and complaining about that!
Oh we did, they paid for the tow but wouldn't refund my rental fee as we were too close to home!!! STUPID lol
Hopefully you will return it back to being a pontiac.. hopefully loose the sbc for sure
