This is a good video! It essentially captures the entirety of the Fit Father Project (FFP); eating, exercising, and living healthy. The FFP fixed me, it changed my life.
A well balanced plant based diet has kept my blood pressure at normal for nearly nine years now. I don`t smoke or drink alcohol and take regular daily walks. I make sure that my stress levels are kept low. I love listening and dancing to music and at nearly sixty six i feel healthier, both mentally and physically than iv ever felt before. My Asthma and IBS disappeared when i went plant based and my immune system has been at its strongest. There is nothing better than feeling healthy and active.
I enjoyed the video very much. I take several blood pressure medications right now but they are much more effective when i incorporate the steps you show here. Thanks so much!!

Hello Dr. Anthony, Just wanted to give you some props ... I just watched this video and took notes ... my BP has been .. high, and to your point, my Dr just raised my BP med from 10g to 20g to 40g! That doesn't make me at all pleased, so game plan is to go natural and ween off the meds. Encouraged by what you've presented. You've got an easy going appeal and obviously very knowledgeable. Good! Clean up your eating first. Take a daily walk. Drink a lot more water. Losing weight will be one of the best things for your blood pressure. We need to keep you out of the ER. 🙏🏼
I have come of medication, lost a stone in weight cleaned my food intake in 6 months and averaged bp is the same as on medication or better on some day 🙏 I am still working on it and thank you for your advice and knowledge ❤

My family has a history of high blood pressure and I've been worried as I get older I may suffer from it as well, but I try and avoid taking artificial medications as much as possible. These are some really great ideas for natural ways to try and prevent it, I had no idea sleep was so important! I'm a busy body and don't sleep as much as I should but I'll definitely be focusing on that more from now on. Kyolic and magnesium really helped my BP. Kyolic will not work, at least not for me unless taken with food. I've never tried Hibiscus but there is a supplement you can take instead of drinking it in a tea.

A little lower protein wouldn't hurt if replaced with vegetables. Also, high intensity weight training program should only be started by someone with normal bp.
In my early 20s and I have and do take medication to control my blood pressure to that 120/80 range. But a few things confuses me, so I'm 5 foot 11.5 inch and weigh about 178 lbs and I workout every other day and I do include both weight training as well as intensive cardio. I maintain a mostly healthy diet and I don't smoke nor do I drink. I get about 6.5-7 hrs of sleep and being a college student I don't have the best sleep cycle as I have to stay late at night sometimes for study. But it's been 2 years I'm on my medication and my doctor says I need to continue it. I don't see where I'm going wrong or maybe it's genetics. Both my parents do have hypertension with my dad having quite a serious heart problems.

Though there is an element of genetics that plays a role so if concerned, seeing a doctor will always be our recommended course of action. Whats crazy I was I'm 6 ft 2 and was 285 lb I lost 45 lb got down to 240 lb and my blood pressure is a little bit worser now I thought the weight loss will at least help it some not make it worse and I'm also taking an extra blood pressure medicine besides what I was talking before

i was told that tart cherry juice about 1/4 cup a day (no sugar added btw), has helped my friend's dad who is 70 keep his bp in check instead of meds.
