The fans on the CVH-Discord already knew it secretly: finally a new route at Cabview Holland! As a driver you are not allowed to just drive anywhere. A requirement is route familiarity. After a good preparation in our Route Knowledge Database, I came to Eindhoven today to see the Eindhoven - Venlo route in real life. This is the ride back. I was a guest in the cabin of a colleague who drove comfortably and perfectly on time. I have now successfully passed the route exam and that means that next time I will be able to drive here myself. Venlo will be in my shifts from June. Enjoy watching!
De fans op de CVH-Discord wisten het stiekem al: eindelijk weer eens een nieuw traject op Cabview Holland! Als machinist mag je niet zomaar overal rijden. Een vereiste is wegbekendheid. Na een goede voorbereiding in onze Wegkennisbank ben ik vandaag naar Eindhoven gekomen om het traject Eindhoven - Venlo in het echt te bekijken. Dit is de terugrit. Ik was te gast in de cabine bij een collega die comfortabel en perfect op tijd reed. Inmiddels heb ik met succes het wegexamen afgelegd en dat betekent dat ik hier de volgende keer zelf mag rijden. Vanaf juni zit Venlo in mijn rooster. Veel kijkplezier!

Smooth ride. Very soothing. Would love to live in one of those lovely little houses by the railway track out in the countryside. I'd cross the road, lean on the fence and watch just the trains go by!

@@CabviewHolland I can't speak for anyone else who watches it but it's just a nice one to watch. It's certainly my favourite webcam outside of my home country of England.

Op station Venlo in 60 er jaren, koffie broodjes en ijsjes verkocht aan de treinen
Toen konden ramen nog open.
Vooral de trein naar hoek v Holland verkocht goed.
Die kwam uit Duitsland en de passagiers hadden al een tijd niks meer gehad,

Ergens ben ik altijd nieuwsgierig/benieuwd naar wat voor vragen er nu op zo'n examen langskomen.
Is praktijkexamen.
Nu is het een theorie-examen. Snelheid, overpaden, overwegen, niet goed zichtbaar geplaatste seinen, verschillende bovenleidingsspanningen in Venlo, waar is de dichtstbijzijnde koffiemachine, waar kun je van spoor wisselen, wat zijn de nummers van de perronsporen en ga zo maar door.

What a great ride and I felt like some new stations for me as well.At 32:44 I think just after Helman Brouhus on the left was that a possible beginning to an over-bridge replacing that Level Crossing or was it a new overpass preparation for a rail line coming in? If they were supports they did not look all that strong? Thanks for another great trip.

If you mean those small towers, those are supports for the 2 bridges over the canal, they used to open but since the new canal a few km east the bridges on the old canal never close. And those bridges are for cars, now there were ideas to fix that junction becouse at the moment it is one of the bussiest ones in the city outside of the junctions with the n270, most problems came from the rail crossing becouse alot of the time it would be closed but gemeente helmond is now planning on closing a part of the road so aloy of the traffic would be removed or pushed on other roads

Is there any way your can add the speedometer to your videos? I have seen other channels digitally add the speedometer to the bottom corner. I miss seeing the control panel, but understand that can not be shown anymore. But it looks like adding the speedometer is allowed as other drivers do. Just a suggestion if you have the time or can do it. 😊😊
I have tried that. Most viewers here like to keep the picture clean. I still make POV's from time to time at Train Driver's POV. There you can see speedometer and the rest.
@@CabviewHolland I subscribed to that channel awhile ago as well. I keep an eye out on both accounts as I really like watching the ICM videos. I think I have been through both channels ICM playlists twice now 😊😊 would look forward if you get the chance, of a POV to Venlo, hoping you pass the test. Was a great thrill watching both to Venlo and from Venlo. The route has changed so much since I last visited. Has also gotten more developed as well. 🙂🙂 Thanks again for sharing the video 😀😀😀😀

HOw long would it iahve taken you if you hadn't had the delays from about 10m in? What they were delaying you for?
This was to clean the tracks. I think it cost about 2 minutes extra time.

Still feels weird that deurne has more platforms than Helmond even tho Helmond is way, way larger

Ik denk roestrijden. Ik begreep van de machinist dat met Prorail is afgesproken dat dit niet hoort te gebeuren.

@@sabineausmg9543 balen dat ik hem niet kon zien ivmdat hij om 14:45 op Horst Sevenum aankwam en vertrok maar was op school maar de kans is wel groter ook ivm dat ik weleens op Horst spot gewoon omdat ik dan zin heb
Als je wegbekenheid aan het leren bent wordt er dan nog gesproken over dat spoor 1 tot en met 3 omschakelbaar zijn? OP 0:36 is de leidingonderbreker te zien en tot daar kan dus ook 15 KV op de draad gezet worden.
De omschakelbare sporen zijn te herkennen aan de afwijkende draagkabel isolatoren en de gele vaantjes.
Voor dat die sporen omschakelbaar kon je je Hondekop of Koploper niet op die sporen parkeren waar ze nu staan want dat gedeelte van het station was 15 KV en dus kwamen de Duitse locs met gestreken pantograaf binnen gereden tot onder de 1,5KV waar ze door een Hippel of Sik werden terug gerereden naar de Duitse kant van het station waarna de Nederlandse loc er aan vast gemaakt werd.
Voor Duitsland de omgekeerde volgorde. Helaas zijn die tijden ver achter ons en de tijd dat ik vanuit mijn woonplaat Dordrecht nog internationaal kan reizen zijn voorbij!!
Ja dit is ook een examenvraag.

Ja, ook voor onderzoek naar op tijd rijden, en voor ontwikkeling van software voor objectherkenning ivm met machinistloos rijden. Leuk hè?
@@CabviewHolland I suspected that might be the case. Although I am slowly becoming convinced that conventional cameras may not have the resolution required to make this all work, even if focused tunnel vision down the track. I suspect it will require an unpleasant transaction on "cost of doing business" or else a human involved in the driving experience for awhile yet. MAYBE an AI can be trained to catch more than a human might. I'm not sure that's within the state of the art for at least a few years yet.
Nonetheless, I may not be the first and should not be the last to congratulate you on your success. I rather expected it given your obvious attention to detail.

No 60fps available at 5K. I prefer 5K because it attracts more attention to my channel, but I agree that 4K / 60fps looks better.

Tussen Blerick en Horst gaat de snelheid er over kilometers uit. Een slakkengang. En waarom? Voor 2 wissels?

Roestrijden. Ik heb begrepen dat er een afspraak is tussen ns en Prorail dat dat niet met reizigerstreinen gebeurt op deze plek.

Als ik de tekst groter maak ziet het er te lomp uit op een groter scherm.. In elke cabine is een tweede zitgelegenheid. Soms een klapzitje, soms een complete stoel.
