Chinese frame and a goldex crank, you got my combo! I've built multiple bikes from Chinese frames, usually from AliExpress. Never had an issue with any of them. The full suspension bike I built was a Twitter tracker and it wasn't a bad frame but the reach was really short for a large frame. At least today they give you all kinds of geometry but I've been buying these frames for a long time and I used to have to scale things off the picture!
Just want to defend suntour, people from the US always have the "ewww it has suntour" tone when it comes to suspension, their high end stuff is great though, massively underrated. Pidcock just won the olympics xc race on a suntour fork.
They failed me a few years ago was pretty bad so that's why I don't go near them but I have an excuse your right alot just see the name and associate them with cheap bike shocks that giant used at one time aswell if I remember correctly
Note it might not be still relevant but if you wanted to know if your giant is made in Taiwan you have to find the made in Taiwan label, if it doesn't have it it's probably made in mainland China.
@@aislingdanwallace2201 I'm not sure because parts aren't so badly priced right now but it all depends on what you need. Rims and a good drivetrain will cost you that's for sure. Price it out separately first.
How you figure that it compares to a Giant? The Giant doesn’t have a Horst link, it’s more like a DW linkage. Not even close. It’s looks more like a Kona.
The stance & new anthem have the simple flex stay design (this) the maestro design that sparked controversy (DW like) is on the trance and reign. I personally hate giant but I still bought a trance x29 because I really love that suspension design over many others.

Yeah its true they are made in same factory before main brands buy the licenses for the bike i know of 1 from a very reliable source.

Same with DVO people think they are suntour being made in same factory but their the OG Marzzochi team before fox bought them over
I got a suntour air fork, it's great

It's really not bad looking, it's always the question of how much abuse can it take 😅
Do you think In would be a viable option to buy a used hardtail with decent quality parts and swap it onto one of these frames?

Not to far off from a Fuel exe thats when main brands come in buy the licences up and tweek things! Could call it a prototype fuel exe!

Yeah true, but it's close enough no given the Giant Stance is their entry level and does have a linkage, just no Horst?
@@VisionMTB yeah think you are correct, stance isn’t a Maestro design, my bad haha

Compra la L, estas bicis tienden a ser pequeñas
Now ride it on downhill with something with a rock or a jump bigger than a kerb i bet it snaps
