After this one AND given the cal loss) few would have thought UCLA would have won the pac10 that year. Maybe the best AZ team in that schools history would play at UCLA later this season and get mauled 37-17. UCLA looked like they got screwed a bit on the TD called back. This was a quality win for Nebraska.
One of those early season games where teams were ranked much lower than where they finished. Both teams ended up winning their conference, but UCLA was unranked at the start of this game and Nebraska was much lower than where they would finish (#3?)
That’s per today’s conference alignment. However, at the time, Nebraska was in the Big Eight, which absorbed several Southwest Conference teams and became the Big 12. Also, the PAC-12 was the PAC-10 then.
I am a big College football fan and Nebraska was and is my all-time favorite. But Terry Donahue is my second favorite. Both very class act gentlemen.
I was at this game… it was a battle till the end

A hard fought 14-13 win by visiting Nebraska.
go big red
wow, what a sloppy game for Nebraska. UCLA played well though...
A lot of poor tackling
What a wasted talent in the NFL - Lawrence Phillips.
Yeah he blew it
I like KABC-TV.
Ugly win but it was a win. UCLA played very well Nebraska did not have one of its better days.
Nebraska(B1G) vs. UCLA(Pac-12) 1993
