Man o man. This game seems like it was last week. 31 years ago. Life goes by so fast.
So many blown opportunities to blow this game wide open.
I always liked Mark Jones as a play-by-play man, but his attitude behind the scenes made him too many enemies. He's still doing it, but he should've been a bigger presence for ABC Sports over the years.
80's 90's college football was the best

@@bmboldt WOW! I was in Baltimore that weekend for a coin show, and we visited my wife's friends from college when I saw that Kansas failed to win the game on ABC highlights.

At this point in the series it had become a rivalry. Some great games between these two clubs in the early 90’s. Overall, I agree it has not been a rivalry.

Colorado made Nebraska a better program. And Nebraska liked beating Colorado once it got good enough to do so regularly in the 90s.

If any teams made Nebraska a better program during that era it was teams like Miami and Florida State because they forced the Huskers to change their defensive formations and also the type of athletes that they recruited.
