If return of the Jedi came out for the the first time today this would 100% be the post credits scene
George Lucas himself didn’t realize how popular Boba Fett was until he fell into the Sarlacc pit.
The legacy of Bobba Fett is the reason why he as a kid, his dad Jago and their space ship got featured on Attack Of The Clones.
George Did say he was gonna show Boba escaping in the special edition of return of the Jedi but it didn’t happen.
I feel it would have been shown during the ending celebration when all the planets are celebrating the death of the emperor. There would have been a quick shot of Boba pulling himself out of the sand. Or maybe he’d have been in the crowd shot, still covered in dirt and mucus.
And after the scene cuts to black, the words *BOBA FETT WILL RETURN* would've showed up on the screen. And then the crowd would've cheered like they've never cheered before.
@@eyeseer1 he'll say I'm back Motherfuckers at 2:24.

@@Ropteshpis5 it done him more favours than rotj
@@reillyseddon7841 would have rather had boba dead in the sarlaac than what they’ve done to him in BOBF
@@Ropteshpis5 definitely not it’s just a different take on the the character he changed after living with the tuskens and nearly getting killed protecting Jabba. @@reillyseddon7841 Favreau’s take on the character is laughable. Please just realize how horrid the writing was for that show. They gave up on writing for boba midway and brought in Din Djarin on his own show which is embarrassing and let’s be honest the only thing doing boba justice is the comics which they seemed to not like or care about. His character was already in the red once they had him get beat up by sasha banks and to be din’s taxi driver in mando.

@El amigo de los monstruos not according to lucasfilm. The only stuff thats canon are the things that aren't a part of the EU or Legends
I love how Luke barely even considers Boba a threat in RotJ. He cuts his gun in half and is like "well, that's him sorted" and then starts asking Han and Chewie if they're okay while Boba is stood right there. Then when Boba uses his cable, Luke seems genuinely surprised, he's like "what, this guy again?", cuts the rope, and then proceeds to target a completely different skiff after Boba fell over. Luke gave him multiple opportunities to back off and he didn't - if he'd have stayed down, Han wouldn't have accidentally hit him. It explains why he's more cautious and less aggressive in season 1 of The Book of Boba Fett, he's had first-hand experience of his own hubris leading to his downfall
Lol...right...Luke watches him fly to the skiff like "really?" I know it's un Jedi like but Luke could have said "That's for Bespin, bitch"..lol
It wasn't the first time Luke encountered Boba Fett. It wasn't even the 2nd time. It was at least the 3rd. He knew he was a threat.
@@electricfootballhero1349 When was the second time?
*ROTJ was the second time. ESB was the first.*
I do wish they had included their fight shortly after A New Hope in the Marvel Comics somewhere in the films. Luke really struggled in that fight and it would have served as a nice contrast to this moment in order to emphasize how far Luke has come in his training
This scene shows how awesome Boba Fett really is. If this happened to me I would go insane.
Well to be fair he wasn’t awake the entire time he was in there. For most of the time (3 entire years) he was unconscious

In another timeline, he escaped by blasting his way out of the sarlacc pit via his jetpack.
Seems more believable
That version is much cooler, his jet pack was broken or at least malfunctioning after Han hit it and he was set flying into the Sarlacc. I still prefer that version however, this one was pretty lame.
@@Soldierboytrey i agree especially since he had to telepathically connect with the monster to escape
@@justaguywithagoodphoto4801 Oof, it all sounded cool until you mentioned this, that sounds like the weird EU stuff from the 90s.
And yet another one, he blew up his jet pack to escape the Sarlacc’s tentacles, then used his grenade launcher to blast through the stomach wall and dug his way out.
Actually, funny enough, the story before that one in the anthology book has someone telling a story about how the Sarlacc ate a bunch of stormtroopers.
1:43 that honestly would’ve been such a great teaser to unexpectedly announce a boba fett show or movie at an event
*Boba Fett:* How long have I been trapped in the Sarlacc Pit?
*Me:* You've been trapped in there for 39 years (est 1983)
Haha
5 Years.
@@nickdaugherty6115 5 years for Boba. 39 years for us the audience
Boba Fett I though you were dead……..
@@nickdaugherty6115 5 years??? Um no. A few days yes. I don't know where people are getting this 5 year stuff from...
I expected the escape to be a lot more terrifying, cause I'm sure the sarlacc has many tentacles that restrained its victims, keeping them alive for thousands of years to suffer, if this is it then I'm sure many of the victims would be trying to escape, I expected Boba to still be awake and see many of those who fell in, not just 1 stormtrooper.
I've heard those who've been inside the sarlacc for long periods of time become fused to the walls and if they're removed they will die instantly, though I'm not sure if this is true.
Well, the thing is the sarlacc has multiple stomachs or chambers, so that kinda justifies why he only saw one stormtrooper (but probably producers just wanted to save money). Boba's armor protected him from being assimilated, that's why he survived. And yes, the victims inside are stored as living nutrients and die if you cut their connection with the sarlacc. You can check wookiepedia for more info with sources.
Sarlacc feeds off the nutrients, Boba survived mainly because of his Beskar armor.
It's true, they just chose not to do it. One of my biggest disappointments
The truth is that it doesn't make much sense that a living being in order to feed itself has to feed its food to keep it alive. The stormtrooper seems to be dead, so that the Sarlaac keeps his victims alive for a thousand years, apart from being biologically impossible, seems more like a local legend. A great legend on the other hand.
@@senatorarmstrong8960 Real Beskar. None of that plastic crap.
This is literally the best scene in the show lmao
I wish the story was Boba escaping the sarlacc and looking for Solo or Luke, the whole sand people redemption stuff was so lame.

Really wanted Luke and Boba to meet again and fight side by side. "No hard feelings?" "You did what you had to, so did I."
Probably exactly how it would’ve went too. Boba was just doing a job. He knew the risks.
Despite the circumstances, I'd find Boba very hard-pressed to befriend a Jedi after watching his own father get decapitated right in front of him by one as a young lad.
I believe they did meet again.
That is.. crap.
@@ithink3979 They don't have to be friends, they just need to know the position the other was in. Also, LUKE is not the one who killed his father.
The coolest intro in any Star Wars series
We get a glimpse of what he sees through his helmet and I’m just like how tf can you see through that 😂😂😂😂
his helmet got a hud but it looks like it got damaged so it turned off
@@eggnugget575 ok gotcha 👏👏👏
I think the camera's field of view makes it seem like he can see a lot less than he actually can
I guess it's like Iron Man's helmet. The various sensors on the armor allow the user to see more despite the small eyepieces.
I understand why they didn’t do it in ROTJ, because the story had to go the way we all know and love. But you’d think from what we’ve seen in more recent things that Boba wouldn’t have gone down there at all. 0:01 , 0:06 and 0:25 He was facing what he knew was a Jedi. He should have shot his jet pack missile at the platform speeder, not gone down to it directly. But of course then, he probably would’ve blown up in Jabba’s yacht. So Han actually saved Boba in the long run. The Force works in mysterious ways. This is a cool escape. 0:52 , 1:24 and 1:48
He probably didn't want to risk anyone else falling into the pit
George Lucas said he thought about including a scene where he crawled out but at that point Boba was just another minion and he didn't know how popular the character would become
I think what’s a bit disappointing is that in the original script for ROTJ Boba was actually supposed to be the main villain but they decided to relegate him to a side character because they wanted to end the films on a trilogy which was understandable.
He His only purpose to the story was to capture Han Solo and bring him to Jabba the Hutt. After that, we needed to see Han Solo get his "revenge" so he was killed off comedically. No one at the time thought, "That wasn't bad ass enough." and then we assumed he was dead and didn't care anymore. It wasn't his story it was Luke Skywalker's story. But of course, some Star Wars fans aren't satisfied with minor characters remaining minor characters (and remaining dead) so now no one dies and everyone just climbs into a bacta tank and is resurrected.
@@TheVCRTimeMachine thats cool but no one cares
That stormtrooper must have fall in by accident during his investigation for the droids.
Poor guy. I know that the Empire committed atrocities but I'd imagine that there were plenty of kind and decent people working for them.
@@twistedyogertUnfortunately though the very grand majority of the higher ups and general military structure did not care
While his escape wasn’t quite as cool as it was in Legends, it was so satisfying to finally see Boba Fett escape the Sarlacc onscreen.
Boba Fett is the living definition of a Heartburn
The theory about how the stormtrooper ended up there is he was one of the group looking for R2-D2 and C-3PO back in new hope so in real time, been there roughly six years.
"Boba Fett fell into the Sarlacc's acid-filled stomach. However, unlike the stomach acid of other creatures, the acid was less aggressive, since the prey was not supposed to be killed and digested immediately, but the creature wanted to feed on it for a long time. This meant that the Sarlacc's special metabolism was designed to keep its prey alive for as long as possible.
To accomplish this, the sarlacc pierced Boba Fett's body, particularly the arm and leg muscles, with tentacles that both pinned him to the stomach wall and penetrated deep into the body, flooding him with toxins and paralytics in an attempt to escape impede. Boba spent most of his time in a semi-drowsy state while the liquids pumped into him by the sarlacc kept him alive. The acid had dissolved most of his armor and then etched away the top layer of skin all over his body. In agony and pain, Boba hoped for imminent death after days in the Sarlacc's stomach, but then pulled together his will to survive one last time and managed to detonate his jet pack as an explosive device that had survived the aggressive acids. The blast ruptured the animal's stomach and caused Boba to be spat out. He landed in the hot desert sands of Tatooine at the edge of the Carkoon Pit, where his blood - due to missing skin and severe injuries - ran freely into the desert sands. Naked except for a few pieces of armor clinging to his burned body, he was vulnerable to the planet's two suns.
As he surrendered to dying and began to experience the ease that came with it, he saw a shadow fall over him. Although unaware of this, he croaked "Help" and was shortly thereafter thrown over his shoulder and carried away by a person: Dengar and Manaroo had the scene after Dengar recovered from his injuries from the "Teeth of Tatooine". of the fight to look for something useful and discovered Fett's body in the process. Manaroo had urged Dengar to help the wounded man, so they took him to Dengar's hideout.

Boba’s escape from the Sarlacc is a little different in the Legends Universe’s comic book series Dark Empire, which is set years after the events of Return of the Jedi. In 1995, a short story was released in the Tales from Jabba's Palace anthology. That story is titled "A Barve Like That: The Tale of Boba Fett" and it was written by J. D. Montgomery. In that story, Boba Fett is immobilized in the Sarlacc and his armor was heavily damaged by the creature's digestive system. Boba then finds himself able to make a telepathic connection with Susejo, who is one of the Sarlacc's earliest victims. Susejo’s consciousness had fused with the creature and Boba learns that Susejo can exert some control over the Sarlacc. “He goads Susejo, making the Sarlacc contract around his jetpack. The resulting explosion frees the bounty hunter from the Sarlacc's grasp. He then fires concussion grenades into the wall of the beast, blowing a hole in its interior. Boba Fett escapes the Sarlacc, which like him is badly injured but still alive.”
@doctahwahwee2237 It is said in Return of the Jedi that sarlacc can digest its victim for thousands of years. How? Space magic.
Escape in that short story was epic. This one looks easy.
He didn’t want to die he wanted to live for his father and continue to follow in his footsteps
It must've smell really bad in there 0:54
And also given the rotting corpse in there I would say Dito.
the coolest scene ever
It's jarring because the movies make him look weak and pathetic, compared to his show.
Also, that overlay for the acid is awful. It's completely static in many shots, so it stays the same, even if the camera moves or zooms in. The budget must be weirdly low.
Overlay for the acid?
@@dannyboylee The green overlay they've added is static. It doesn't alternate between shots and they've done it cheaply.
Not even Vorephilic people would want to be in that situation.
Interesting that the original Sarlacc footage was used, not the Special Edition version with the beak.
1:42 i can't believe patton oswalt called it so perfectly in Parks and Rec
If he wasn't drunk from the barge party he could have killed luke easily when he was facing away from him.
Yeah. And he was getting drunk every night in his public housing flat in New Zealand too.
Captain Rex: How did You escape the sarlacc
Boba Fett: Don't Ask
I am very good at suriving these things u know
To me this represents Boba's rebirth and allows him to shift from the man he was pre Sarlaac pit into something greater than just a good bounty hunter.
The stormtrooper that was just taking a nap inside the sarlacc pit: 🙁
I remember seeing Return of the Jedi on the silver screen on my 12th birthday. Of course the scene of Boba Fett escaping was added recently. Back then we thought he died.
Sarlacc Pit (when he swallowed Boba): We exist together now, two corpses in one grave.
Gravemind enjoyer
@@danilosardo1179 Yep. On that thought, I think that's where Bungie got the 1st concept design idea for him. Which could explain why he looks like a giant sentient venus fly trap.
The terrifying thing is that stormtrooper was still alive
huh? i didnt see he's moving..lol
@@Mikumiii the sarlacc keeps its victims alive and paralysed for 1000 years through special toxins it injects into its their bodies. Even when their body is completely dissolved the sarlacc keeps their consciousness alive and mentally tortures them until they eventually die. However if someone is one of the sarlacc’s first victims then they may become part of the sarlacc until it dies which could last tens of thousands of years
Here’s a video explaining it ua-cam.com/video/Qm_RxzX0gpo/v-deo.html
@@Mikumiii he's not moving because he can't. Sarlaacs inject a paralyzing toxin into their prey and keep them alive along as possible to eat them. Hence why no one want's to get eaten by one.
@@Mikumiiithe sarlaac works by injecting their victims with a toxin which paralyses them while it slowly eats them, their consciousness is kept within the Sarlaacs mind
