Thank you Russ for this video, and you absolutely right regarding the growing lights, I had mine was almost touching the leaves and the more lights you put there the more green and growth will show. Thanks God finally the temperature in NH going above 67 and they (trees) all outside now.

Best lights...spider farmer 1000 led give off hardly any heat, cover a 3 ft area, 2 ft if fruiting no fan so also quiet. They also hav uv so then acclimate to sun much faster.

Thanks Ross. A lot of my cuttings have struggled when brought outdoors even after being hardened off. They usually just stagnate for nearly the entire season. Its only after winter dormancy that they really take off.

I was told first year they sleep, second year they creep, and 3rd year they leap

When the figs wake up hit them with a miracle grow solution being sure to wet the leaves. Do that every two weeks. In mid June pinch and hit with a high phosphorus fertilizer solution to encourage fruit formation. Do that every two weeks.

I had two figs just popup from a bag of commercial compost they in two years grew to over three meters in height in my back yard soil which is essentialy clay with builders ruble. However they only produced figs of about a centimeter diameter , these tiny figs never ripened and shrivelled up over The winter. I have radically pruned them down to two meter high and plan to graft to them from a small Black Turky which is in it's second year and produces about 6 figs which are huge but do not ripen - they just hang on over our snowy winter and then drop off very dried up inside. Any suggestions ??
