- Just how bad was my Last Day on Earth base? In this video I show the top three issues destroying my base from the inside, and how/why I fixed them! Level five walls and floors will eventually become necessary, and my base was not prepared for that update at all. Now my base is a lot more efficient and better prepared for future updates!

Right now I have big plans I’m somewhat struggling with storage mainly with armor and guns because I hoard Other than that I wanna have an entire perimeter of stone brick edit I actually am pretty organized but I have one chest words like a drop chest it took me from an organized organize about 45 minutes
Nope, my base is perfectly organised, from guns, mechanical, melee, chemicals and you name it

@@CollectorBoss10k I do like the drop chest. I still have one in the bottom right of my base. You don't always feel like sifting and sorting...and one drop chest can be nice for if you're in a pinch. :)
Two things. First, you don't need to put woodworking benches inside. I noticed raiders don't steal ash planks. Second, as painful is it was seeing you delete gold bars, it's probably the best decision for your base.

when my first design was built, i thought it was too crowded, when I got 900 wood I renovated everything and I didn't thought there was too much space I wasted. now I can spin my motorcycle freely than my last base design.
Organization of loot can be quite difficult once you have a lot of items. My friend advised me to do it from the starts and thanks to that a lot of my time has been saved.

A tip for early game players:
Dont bother making or repairing your walls, the horde doesn't affect chests and craft benches.
My base is designed to be somewhat hard to raid, but also feel like a home in some ways. I wish LDOE could add more indoor house decorations like those from Sector 7 to single player
Nice video, and I helped get rid of a lot of inventory. Like losing med kits and guns. That was great. Don't worry if you want to downsize your base, you get to do a ton more of my personal challenges to do so😂😂

Good job getting rid of stuff. I need to do that soon. I have an entire steel base the size of the map. And half of it is already brick walls.
I decided a couple years ago to use the lockers at Bunker bravo to store gold bars and spray paint . That's a good recommendation . And if you leave your dead body at the watchtower near the swamp zone you can use it for storage of hatchets, weapons, Ghilly armor etc
Respect for grinding out that whole map base/brick progress!
I occupied the maximum amount of space for my base, contrary to yours. Even though having a big base is grindy, I believe that it is the end game for ldoe.

the Fortress is all good for me, no need to make any changes, remember, caking your base with layers upon layers of lvl 3 walls will make it essentially raid proof

Raid proof? Just use a trunk outside ur base full with modded spears. U can have brick walls and raiders will only break the trunk and take the spears. I dont understand de concept of honeycomb. Ugly af.
@@kosovoy98 its not honeycomb lol, if you are in the discord I can show you, its much cheaper, looks better and has the same effect as a honeycomb.
Also sacrificing a trunk for raiders is not a smart thing, its much smarter to just leave a spear in the truck so you can have that extra trunk to yourself.
I got my true frnd dog of a rare skin (tiger stripes) after one n half year worth all my turkeys because of new dog event i was able to get my that perk AWESOME!

This is why I decided to go with 4x7 steel base in the begining, and I still following that plan.
However, I plan to devide my base in half, then upgrade all the wall to brick wall when I finish ATV
Probably a safe bet to go with that divide method. Making the upgrades more gradual will be less of a headache for sure.

Hoarding is fun though! Was starting to interfere with my stream productivity though. Nobody wants to watch someone fiddle around for a few minutes trying to find an empty chest on stream.
I got no problem at my base item everything is memorieze if you sleep 8 hours per night
And here I am with a base that takes up the entire map. Currently have 2 layers of stone walls.
Seems like your doing this with the idea that metal cutters will get added in the somewhat near future, which is a possibility, but at the same time it might end up taking over a year or more before it gets added at it's current rate, so upgrading to tier 5 might not be a time sensitive task really.
Good point there! The downsizing is also a way to help prevent my hoarding from having room to grow back. If I've got extra room I'm gonna start stashing up gold bars again. 😆

Well first I have my atv in my metal room and my chests all on the sides.Plus my garage is on the corner of my base and non of my base looks good,lol. BUT,I’ve been organizing mu loot and stop hoarding other loot.And I need more walls bc the horde. Good job on ur base Dan Srry about it making it for livestream but was sleeping. Bye ✌️!

I enjoy base organisation, I even have a specific color for each of my chest.
Blue = Armor/Spare parts
Green = Heals/Food
Red = Weapons Melee/Firearms
Black = Raw resources
Yellow = Refined resources
White = Rare items/Resources.
It's really an eye candy once you've done it, so much more convenient especially if you just came back from farming or raiding a rich base.

My base is a disaster bro., i have a 3x3 steel where i keep all my gun, anything else i dont really mind losing to raiders
beleting wall is not that smart because after some time you have to make thous walls back.when you run out of space in your base. 5lvl walls arent that big deal rn because you cant brake 4lvl walls rn
I'm leaving the foundation just in case. If I give myself extra space I will 100% fill it with unnecessary stuff though. Better for me to limit myself and find a way to work within the boundaries I set.

i've used the old base layout from cairek,not becoz i like him but i like the layout in general.the letter T form of the base is perfect and fits all of the chest. and then theres also room for furnitures.

It's hard to maintain a good base. I think we understand all the hoarding. Hopefully you forgive yourself for deleting some stacks of items

he wants to upgrade walls to lvl5 so by down sizing the base he will have lesser walls to upgrade
Also a measure to keep myself from hoarding again. If I give myself extra room...it's gonna get filled with gold bars and other related odds and ends real fast!

How do you get the raiders to show up to your base? I used to play a few years ago and all you had to do was spin radio and you could talk to them. Now nothing shows up other than the code to bunker alpha.
You have to reach level 150 to get raiding access now. Was in an update a bit ago.

Bro, I'm at lvl. 64 or something like that and I have never held a steel bar in my hands. Even though I really like this game, I'm aware that I'm just bad at it, my base is entirely made of lvl. 2 structures and I don't think I'll be able to proceed much too soon :(
I have my base in like an X shape, where on the corners I have 4X4 rooms for workbenches and stuff, while having a central loot room. in between the appendages I have an 2 outdoor areas for farms and other exterior workbenches
I am so happy I went for a 6×6 base at the beggining

You can try that on a moded apk file with "grow up dog for free" game guardian script

The traits will stay the exact same level. There is no point in re-rolling a lvl 4 True Friend dog unless you have a spare one that you can waste while rolling. You cannot select keep traits if you want to try for better stats.

i have a 5*3 steel room so i can only protect upto 15 chests and today i got a raid where i got tons of meds and guns. after that i have not a single slot of storage empty in my base now i cant store a single extra guns so i gotta either expand my base or delete stuff

I do the same since begging. Having chests dedicated to merle weapons guns based on types and mods (i still don't have silencer mod so keeping this separate not to miss use to sth other than raid). I'm having clothes chests based on rarity and organized in way that each row is one full durability set. Than having chests for half durability clothes which are worth it like swat armor. Than part of chests are for "daily use" so I don't need to go through whole base to collect most used things. And dedicated few chests for most valuable items which are on one place and only those will have maximum protection. I don't care if Glock will be stolen. Yes it hurts but can be easily replenished.
I prefer take all gold bars that I can carry in my backpack and dump them in motel or green zones chests 🤣

For my base. My chest isn’t big enough and I’m running out of rooms for supplies and weapons and armor and etc.. My chest is filling up faster than I can use the supplies and upgrade my chest. I either need to burn through my stuff faster, save room, or upgrade my chest at a faster rate. Sometime I would run out of space for my gun chest and I will be forced to walk around with 1-5 full durability guns because I don’t have room
Well, as a f2p player, i grinded like mad 3~4 years for steel and copper, eaven in northern zones, remember that it was way harder years ago, and most of the times i took 3~5 months off per year becouse i was burned out, but now, i will need to fully upgrade it again becouse i liked it. Yeah like 460 titanium + other materials might need one other 3 years 🙃🔫
i only make 6x6 steel room because it the cheapest form, only 4 chest outside that room but still inside 2 layers of stone wall .
my base was something like yours, but i rearranged all of my stuff in to 6 compartments:
1.is the entrance with the acid bath and some miscellaneous items
2.Armour and guns with the work bench
3.Area with food and medical supplies
4.For the warehouse all the furnaces and work benches
5.For the recycling and the cloth lether and thick fabric
6. is just like a little living area
and i didn't destroy that much from my old base and had enough to wrap it all in the stone walls, i bought the legendary survivars pack and have 1/2 sides with steel walls

my base looks like a fortress of lvl3 walls with 3 layers of honeycomb lvl3 walls . also have 8x5 lvl4 walls for my precious racks of guns armor and aidkits and other important items. i wish i knew this base management last 2020. i always lost in my own base

I have full sized map of stone walls and a 3x8 steel room. I just reached lvl 150 and after few raids I realised that is not worth it and want to delete all walls as I will not be able to upgrade them all to lvl 4. I’m so sorry I did it but I don’t want to restore walls every time I’m raided. In addition somehow raiders find my best chests not in the steel room and loot them. I’m conclusion I can say don’t waste your resources and plan your base in advance even if you are a beginner.
my biggest problem with my base is that in one square I can only put one workbench even if they don’t touch each other I still can’t put another one in the opposite side of the square. I consider myself as a veteran since I’m playing this game since 2018. This is a big problem because I have to make my base way bigger than needed because of this. The devs should do something about this base design in general. I’d love to see a base build update monte than new skins and recycled “”new” events. But what do you think? Let me know
I catoragized all the item in my base from when I start playing the game. The only mess now are the item for access something (whatever it is PD card, bunker card...) that put in the same truck (I only got to truck storage in this 1 month hard grinding account).
