      Glad it was helpful! As for your sentence about your hometown, just a couple of things. I live in a rural area on a big island that is a developing country. It's a quiet, comfortable, safe, neighbourhood and not many people live there.
      Hope that helps!

    It is a really good lesson and very helpful for me . I absolutely like your accent. Thank you a lot!
    I live in Europe, in the Montenegro. I live in Herceg Novi which is situated in the southwest of the country, by the Adriatic Sea.
    It is small town, which has about seventeen hundred inhabitants, but full of real jewels of cultural and historical treasures, lush greenery and beautiful beaches and there are a lot of unspoiled natural spots on the sea and in the hinterland. In the town and along the Riviera there are a lot of amenities such as sports centre, swimming pool, hotels, resorts, marinas, restaurants, bars, cafes. There are also a lot of cultural events throughout whole year. It is attractive tourist destination which attends people from all over the world, especially on summers.
    I live on the promenade, very close to the main town’s port and a five-minute walk from the centre of the town.
    Herceg Novi is absolutely beautiful town, but unfortunately the standard of living is really low. That can be quite stressful because you are always thinking how to make ends meet.

      Hi Milena, thanks for the positive feedback and you write very well in English. Your home sounds beautiful! I would love to visit one day! When you talk about the amenities, you should say "such as A sport centre, a swimming pool, hotels......" just don't forget the article ! Hope that helps!

    Hi Teacher!
    The video lesson about talking of your "Hometown" looks warm, welcoming and appealing. atmosphere. You have the powerful, polished, and body language, which make us believe that you are a credible English teacher. The way you elaborate the subject matter is professional. Each vocabulary is explained with an appropriate diagram. Hats off to you!
    I`m afraid, I can`t write about my hometown because I live in a small island, Mauritius, about 720 square feet. Never mind, I would like to write about my country. It is a tropical island surrounded by the blue sea with beautiful sandy beaches. It has a cosmopolitan atmosphere because many tourists all over the world come for its sun, beaches, landmarks, and hotels. Besides, it is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature with lots of fresh air and green fields. It is much safer to commute all around because the inhabitants speak both English and French languages. Overall, we were an ex-British colony and our education is British Education System.
    Hope that pleases you. Bye for now.
    See you soon! Take care!
    Best Wishes,
    Fazil

    • @oxfordenglishnow
      @oxfordenglishnow  4 роки тому

      Hi Fazil, wow, your country sounds amazing! You write extremely well in English: I am very impressed! So as promised, here is my feedback. You write, "It has a cosmopolitan atmosphere because many tourists FROM all over the world...... because the inhabitants speak both English and French ( no need for languages here) .... Overall ( do you mean after all? ) ... and our education is THE British education system." The very few mistakes you make, I have written in capital letters. Hope that helps and well done again! 👍

    Hello! I live in Blagoveshchensk, a town in Russia. It is famous for having a board with China. Despite being not so big, it has many tourists from China every day. Besides it is quite and peaceful, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and glory of great Amur river. But sometimes I feel it is kind of cut off from developed world. From time to time It is a mundane and sleepy place. And unfortunately, my town produces nothing special and important. But the region it’s located can brag about gold mining.
    I love my town for its fresh air, for sunny days and for the climate. Just to clarify, we have the real cold winter and the real hot summer!

    • @oxfordenglishnow
      @oxfordenglishnow  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Евгения Елманова, so wonderful to hear all about your hometown. I looked it up on a map and it is really cool to think of you watching my video there. OK, so now for the English. You write really well. I am very impressed! You say your hometown has a board with China, I think you mean a "border" with China. Then you talk about "dramatic mountain scenery and glory of great Amur river." Here you should say "the glory of the great Amur river," because it is specific. You also need another "the" when you talk about "developed world," as you should say "the developed world." Then you go on to talk about the region and you use a great word, "brag," but I think it would be better if you said something like, " the region can brag about gold mining." In the final sentence, you say, "we have the real cold winter and the real hot summer." It would be better to say, "we have really cold winters and really hot summers." Hope that helps. But keep up the English, you really very good! 👍
