2019-2024 Toyota RAV4 FMVSS 301 Rear Crash Test (50 Mph)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- A 50 Mph (80 Km/h), 70% overlap rear crash test.
Result: Pass - No Fuel Leak.
This is a test on the fuel system to ensure there is no fuel leakage in a high-speed rear-end collision. There is no instrumentation in the dummies.
There goes the family dog
Couldn't do without that "POST TEST" sign
The result looks better than forester !
It looks better, but you want more deformation so the damage isn't passed on to the passengers.
@@baetsimpson not if it intrudes into the passenger seat.
@@느낌표-t1l That logic could be used to say that old cars with no crumple zones at all are safer than modern vehicles...
The Forester isn't really close to rear seat intrusion in its test.
@@baetsimpson keep in mind that not all crashes happen at this speed. And no modern cars have a rock hard crumple zone that will kill the passengers.
@@느낌표-t1l That could also be said for the RAV-4. A conclusion can't fully be drawn just by looking at the amount of crumple on both cars. Which is why rear-end crash tests should become a thing beyond the basic fuel tank rupture testing currently preformed.
Not bad, it sill looks like a RAV4 after the crash
Here after Las Vegas Crash
Henry Ruggs 150+ MPH in corvette plows into Rav 4, Rav 4 bursts into flames. Driver and her dog burned alive.
I would be very surprised if there isn't a major recall on the RAV4 for gas tank failure in rear end crashes, there has already been a few rear end collisions that resulted in the RAV4 Drivers being burned up instantly similar to the old Pintos.
Lies
That was a rigged test.. many brands had a gas tank next to the rear bumper
Henry Sugg was going faster than 50 mph
Are the hybrids constructed any differently. Extra bracing ect..
This 2WD version lacks the rear differential and driveshaft. The Hybrid version has a different subframe for the rear traction motor. It's possible there could be some deviation, but it might perform better because of the way the subframe is shaped.
Muy fragil en eso deberian reforzar.
door w as damaged rate 4
По моему зад стал красивее выглядеть🙂
and rear damaged
Quedo convertida en una Razie😂
Какие внутренние повреждения?
The front seats bent too far backward (possible injury to rear seat passengers, especially children).
They're meant to do that. Every car does that. It's for whiplash so people don't break their neck.
@@NoName-gv6nm - There are news reports of American market cars with front seats that go so far back that they've killed children in the second row. One lady was paralyzed because her seat went so far back that she slid out from under the seatbelt. Scary stuff 😱
My 2017 Corolla when I got rear ended by a guy going 70mph the back of my drivers seat snapped and went all the way back and when I tried to reposition it after I got hit it was broken. My neck hurt so bad and Toyota’s are so cheaply made I will never drive another as my daily. I got a bmw instead and so far it has been a good car mechanically and body wise. I got rear ended in my bmw by someone going 50 mph and the car barely got damaged. I don’t buy cars for reliability I buy them on the strength of their body.
@@davidarmstrong1421 - Hmmm... BMW and Mercedes are definitely built for safety!
(Glad that you survived the crashes without too much injury... I can't imagine getting rear-ended at such high speeds.)
@@davidarmstrong1421 do you realize how much force Is in a 70 mph impact any car will have the seat back break I seen a Mazda CX-9 rear ended by a semi truck that guy died along with his wife the same thing happened with the seats so don’t call Toyota’s cheap
Airbags clearly failed
The curtain airbags had been deployed in another test and the rest of the system was disabled.
Volkswagen Tiguan has less deformation.
so: more energy absorbed by your cervical vertebrae....The idea of a collision is to absorb kinetic energy.
@@joopmulder3293 deformation is good as long as it's not coming into the passenger compartment
@@occckid123 You are right, that's the whole idea: keep the passenger compartment intact and have the rest of the car absorb all the energy. Nobody survives a collision of a tank hitting a concrete bunker at high speed.
@@joopmulder3293 not to this level. Volkswagens have front and rear crumple zones which do deform, but not to where the C pillar is compromised like this.
@@joopmulder3293 The dummy looks fine tho
