@@colinhogan5661 not everything can be crouching tiger, jackie chan, the raid etc etc..The choreography is nothing special here..In fact, I was a bit disappoionted with how the action was here...but Zack Snyder doesnt have Larry Fong to work with or which ever second unit he used for his past films
I like the fight scene, but I didn’t like the quick cuts. Should have taken notes from John Wick Movie for the sake of directing action better.

I have three questions if anyone can answer?
1st- why in every space sci-fi when there’s a fight it’s like waaaaaaay up in a building or air?
2nd- why do all the bad guys get killed or die always come back alive even after falling miles to the ground onto a rock
3rd - why is it that every good guy or female hero are always related to someone evil that they are trying to kill?

This climatic fight scene reminded me of Rey fighting Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens and Luke fighting Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back.
Except that Rey finishing Kylo Ren off in the Force Awakens is totally wack because we *cannot explain why she is quite "overpowered" (for the lack of a better term)* ther than plot armor.
But here, it actually makes sense because Kora/Arthelais is a *TRAINED* soldier. *Not just trained, but trained by Balisarius AKA Admiral Noble's superior!* although she did win against Admiral Noble, at least we understood why she is capable. While also rendering him a competent threat!
Why was he holding his weapon while she did the stunt that broke it?

If you look closely, it hits the side of the jaw, where the molars and premolars are located. All of this agrees if you pause and look at the teeth that confirm what I say. So the only way you can see if those pieces were missing in the final scene is for the bad guy to smile from ear to ear... which he didn't do.

It does not seem to me like disliking this movie is a very edgy position to take at all. Seems a pretty common reaction to it as far as I can tell
I tried pretty hard to like it at first thinking it was just a bit mediocre, but just gave up during that final battle.
It' in the past though, and I feel better now.

I think this "Common" reaction that you're talking about (And it's not common) stems from a group of people that really don't know anything about good movies at all. And are only hoping on a hate bandwagon started by a heavily biased minority that only live to shut down anything that Zack Snyder does no matter the quality of his work. And it is good quality work he puts out make no mistake. And this pathetic movement blinds you. It truly makes me feel bad that you don't have an eye for or know how to appreciate good cinema.

I'm a woman, and even in fiction I'm fed up of these super powerful heroines. In a 1 to 1 fight between well trained soldiers, a man will beat the sheete out of a woman every single time.
Women are just as capable of beating the absolute fuck out of men. Women can be killing machines too

I've sparred with women in Aikido class who were not only black belts, but also smaller than Sofia Boutella here, and they threw me around the dojo like a sack of potatoes and I'm 5'10".
A well trained woman even smaller in stature can still do some major damage

@@DarkCreed There are lots of movies these days depicting female heros that kick the shit out of men, even dominate them. Sometimes the female heroes struggle but still win in the end. In reality, there are very few instances where a woman could defeat a man in hand to hand combat. I just find today's depiction of strong, violent women who dominate men to be ridiculous. Women shouldn't be soldiers, 250,000+ years of evolution tell us this.
