The enemy chef in the competition is surprisingly chill and actually a great cook. For some reason, I like that a lot
Fun fact: the disciple who poisoned Ping Yee's dish in the early part of the movie is actually Sammo Hung's (Ping Yee's actor) son.
Timmy Hung, right? I think that's his name. I like him, he was in another movie Sammo and Donnie Yen, SPL, playing a thug who got beat bad until he was mentally handicapped.
No wonder they kinda look alike. I even lost track on who´s who when they fought.

...now i imagine guests ordering food, but instead of getting it already made, they see the chef coming with the animal in tow. Beating it in front of them in a fight. Then proceed making the food LIVE for them.
Sammy Hung’s martial art combined with cooking is more than enough to satisfy my day.
I feel this would be plausible, as fish are quite simple when it comes to movement, and have been known to keep moving even if large chunks of their bodies are removed.
Sammo hung was one of the best HK actors of the past. He deserves more recognition.

8:20 I remember watching this movie with bad subs and at this pointish when the cops are coming I'm sure they yell something to the effect of "Hey! Stop right there!" but the subtitles read "What's up? Stop right there!" and it gave me a good chuckle.

@@uasakura agreed, no way a normal guy even with martial arts experience because once that first hit, its over because of a sharp very intense pain for the first time so while your going crazy in pain someone will get you again and then you are done because next its probably fatal.
@@mitchplaysroblox5173 That depends. Martial artist especially MMA and boxers do something called 'conditioning' which is getting punched. The pain will not be high at all due to adrenaline. Unless its a SQUARE punch to the face what you said is all bullshit.

I LOL'd at the description but having seen this movie I knew how it happened. I did try and rationalize how it could be true on a technicality. Like, the fish was already dead to begin with so he wasn't actually 'killing' it.

The actor playing the chef is known (or was known during my youth) as an extremely good martial artist that plays in movies, much like Jackie Chan, in Asian countries. In one movie, he also played the role of Jackie Chan's big brother (although the big brother was acting like a child, so the younger brother, Jackie, was the one who was caring for him).
Summon Hung trained with Jackie Chan when they are kids in Chinese Opera. He is like Jackie Chan's older brother.
