Broken Earth is the one setting I wish we could revisit. There's so much potential for that kind of world, and we only had 3 isolated maps in it, only 2 of which really explored the apocalypse itself.
@@ThatWasAwesomeYT there's concept art that shows the original map like originally nacht was gonna be it's own map like town is and so was the corn field

I vividly remember playing nuketown and thinking the mushroom cloud was the moon missile My pure shock and horror when I got a game over and saw the rocket
Black Ops 2 is the last zombies game I played. I’m probably super biased, but for me this was the end of the lore making sense 😂 when I watch videos from BlOps3+ I get so lost
@@josephgreble5 3 was good, and it’s not confusing at all really. They travel alternate universes to capture their souls, then they all get sent to “the Great War” and wield the original staffs, creating a loop. Really not that hard unless you’re very unintelligent
My head canon for what experiments Broken Arrow was doing in Tranzit was they were trying to create their own teleportation technology. - The denizens are a similar in game lore to the nova crawlers in Five, both Five and Tranzits underground are the same design, the denizens create portals like the keepers can and the experiment's of combining a human a pig and 115 created the nova crawlers which look like a keeper but lacks the power of teleporting like a true keeper does, origins zombies jump out of the 115 conversion generators like the keepers too which is interesting. I never looked into the jumping jacks from Die Rise or the wild conspiracy theory that would be attached to learning it.

Dude keep doing these, I just found your channel and these are the best lore breakdowns I can find. All the others just blast you with all this information that I’m expected to remember and it gets confusing real quick. Your style of doing explaining everything is perfect.
Don’t forget the comic books! I honestly don’t know where you could get them anymore but there’s a ton of really good lore that fills in the gaps between maps from bo2-bo3
I really appreciate all your content, man from obscure out of map things that I was always curious about to these storyline breakdowns. I like hearing it slow and chronologically and most videos explaining it are just boring lists of what happened. You do a really good job.
The tranzit radios are probably some of my favorite radios. They were a step up from what we had before. It really gave us a sense of how the rest of the world was dealing with stuff instead of just 935 scientists talking. The Jackass flats radio and drunk man radio are peak
I think with the acknowledgment of transportation devices, such as the teleporting fountain in Buried, or the room teleported in 5 - it’s super easy to assume that most of these Broken Arrow facilities were inter-dimensionally connected.
So glad to see this :) I’ve been looking forward to this video in particular for a while. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these calm nostalgic explorations of seventh gen COD, I find them incredibly entertaining.
Not sure what your confusion is about the pylons connecting to the lamp posts in tranzit. The powerstation creates the electricity, and the pylons carry the electrical lines that connect the powerstation to the surrounding area's infrastructure, such as the lamp posts. The electricity just has some strange "magical" properties due to being powered by 115.
Fair point, I guess I assumed they were engineered to function as they do - as if they are some sort of Broken Arrow machine. 115 powered electricity would make sense though.
The India connection could be maxis trying his reach in India because less chance of running into meat eaters due to religion so maybe he thought he would find less people to give into Richthofens “signal”. Just a thought I had.
The perks flying down from the sky in nuketown could be due to the blast of the ditches explosion flinging items into the air which eventually fall back down.
Am I the only one who wants to see more of earth after it was destroyed in the events of "Moon"? I don't care what they'd have to do to lore, just make it work
It really is a shame just how much of the old Tranzit is still left over in the final product as a reminder of what could’ve been - the power station, the lava lake, the asylum zombies etc. Really a shame and I hope one day we’ll get to see what the original vision for Tranzit could’ve been (I doubt it).
For Nuketown, I had always assumed that the perks falling out of the mushroom cloud were because the nuke that detonated was stored in some facility, one where other important stuff was also kept (i.e. perks and the pack-a-punch).
As a long time fan of the story this has been awesome to watch you experience. It reminds me of when this was all new and coming out. Such good times. I remember when I was like 12 posting on facebook that zombies was confirmed for Black Ops 2… I feel ancient

The thing that bugs me most about the shattered earth story is when it takes place. Green Run seems antiquated compared to the year 2025, and Nuketown doesn’t seem to be up to date either considering Moon happens at the same time. Yet the very next map Die Rise has SDC zombies from the campaign that takes place in 2025. I suppose time shenanigans, but that means the SDC formed after the nukes hit Earth?
