Those horns completed the sound! it was great. Ludwig did get the theme battle music that was so memorable! the hype was worth it! his boss fight level design was amazing! the skeletons rise up, the bloody surrounding, the two phases, that Ludwig fight was legendary!
Really goes to show how great the score is that I've seen about a dozen people react to this track with 0 context and they are able to understand the story that the music is telling.
right. the two phases were a nice touch as well. I'm not deep into the lore of knowledge with Ludwig but I know a little of what's going on and I thought the scores express his story substantially!
really?! I have it but it's not yet Boosted with blood gems so I don't use it in the DLC. I planned to use once I'm done with the DLC and use it when I replay the main game for the true ending.
@randomlyreactandreviewfirstEzy yh its alot of fun, the moveset is amazing imo & both modes can deal crazy damage with the right stats/gems (one mode deals physical dmg the other magic)! Worth using for on ng+ for sure, or rushing to Ludwig on a new character is a fun challenge but easily doable!
The best part about the Ludwig fight for me is honestly the buildup throughout the entire base-game makes the fight so good. And the subversion of the norm, how with Gascoigne it was hunter turning into beast, but for Ludwig it's beast regaining it's humanity despite it's beastly form - And how you can see that with how he fights less disgustingly and instinctively and fights with some sort of purpose other than just bloodlust Because you know who Ludwig is already if you use Ludwig's holy blade and Ludwig's rifle (maybe if you wear church / choir sets too) Then when you finally meet the mythical hunter you've heard so much about who's so "Holy" and affiliated with the church, you're met with a disgusting horse-man-beast who is only similar to the Ludwig you've heard so much about in namesake; until he enters his second phase and you finally see who is he and why he was so respected. That's why Ludwig is my favourite DLC boss

This is by far, one of the most epic themes from a boss I've heard in my life.
The fight as a whole, music, ambience, the tension, everything fits.
