Great project Brian. I really enjoy your 18th century fishing/kit videos. Timeless methods that are just as valid today as they were then. Thanks for passing on this knowledge.
Hey bro..... One of the many things I like about your instructional videos, is that you make it very simple to follow along. This was definitely no exception. Great video! God bless!
lol, thanks for reply, but they still look quite robust, cost v value. Cheap not always bad if it compares well enough v expensive alternative. Are they imitating certain traditional pattern? What should I search for to find similar style scissors? I hate modern plastic ones. Thanks
i'm not sure how I missed this video, but I really like that float! when I come across some feathers, I think i'll try to teach my kids how to make these.
Interesting timing, just this morning I was making a batch of floats, I use used wine corks, cut them into wafers about 1/4 thick and then cut each one from the center out with an exacto blade for the string notch, BUT, winters coming and I'll be needing some hibernation activities so be sure that next spring I'll be harassing the brookies with some shinin' new quill floats too.. thanks for the inspiration.. watch yer backtrail...
sweet video. I can't wait to try this out. I would love to see some of this 18th century gear in action. Hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, and just living. keep up the good work! I'm always excited to see new content from you.
Well done Brian. Very interesting take on authentisity. Brian 76

Cool have fun with the project
The ingenuity of the 1800's is remarkable. I see the shape of both the wasp gall bobber and the double quill bobber in modern fishing gear.
Yes sir I agree
Cool video and thanks for the information. I will be making myself this type of float as soon as I cross up with some feathers. Thanks again
That's what I like to hear
you could use hot glue to assemble such. and set time, build time improves greatly.
You could I don't think it' will beat gorilla glue though I slowed it down for the video. I can put them together in like 3 mins
nicely done Brain
looks an awesome bobber
thanks for this video
atb

Plenty of sound bro check your setting cause everyone else hears it
Works now... Not sure what happened before
Good video interesting I have not seen a quill float made. Before
Really that i would not have expected cause you do a lot of fishing
Neato, time to start picking up all the crow/raven, wild turkey, and seagull feathers.
Yes sir!
great how to again I just bought corks for most of my normal fishing but I'm going to make a few of these if I get a turkey this yr atb .....tom

What no demo???? Steve would have done a demo! JK Thanks for sharing, will be making some of these.
I'm lazy lol
That musket tho.....😚😍😀
You have some VERY serious sound issues on this video. Let me know when you get it working please.
You may want to check your issues on your equipment cause no one else has them bro, and I have watched this video on 5 different devices
Okay. I didn't have any other issues. If you are satisfied that is good by me. Thanks for the call back.
