This tutorial is about how to use buffer calculation. Pub points are taken from data which have latitude and longitude points. You can download lat and long from websites if you have address using below link www.latlong.net/convert-address-to-lat-long.html
Hi Javier, buffer calculation only works with location fields i.e. lat and long These calculation are used for Spatial analysis and for that you need to have data for lat and longitude. If you have location or address field in your data set then you can easily find the lat and long using google search. Hope that helps
Hey, Thanks alot for this, How this can be done if i want to create multiple circles boundaries, For example 3 boundaries with radius if 100,500,1000 meter?
Hi Nitesh, Yes, part of this is possible. You can try creating another radius parameter and another buffer calculation and create another layer on map. Using old version of tableau which i used in the tutorial, you can use 2 latitude pills in row shelf and use one with radius 100 and other with radius 150 . This will work. However you can try this with latest version of tableau where we have multiple map layer feature that was released in version 2020.4 Please try that and let me know if you need more information. Cheers! Gurpreet
I have a global data set. When I use buffer it's working fine in fixed(pinned) map.. but i filter any particular state if i zoom in to that state level. Buffer circle size is not resizing to the zoomed map level.. any solution for that..
Hi Bastin, Apologies for late reply. You can check out my below dashboard where i have used "action" to filter out the area included in the boundary. Please have a look and let me know if that helps your scenario and i can do a seperate tutorial on it. @@DataVizCanvas Hey thanks, it's working now!!
Hi, the "DISTANCE" calc is returning an "aggregate vs non-aggregate" error.
Does this video go through how to get the pub point

@@DataVizCanvas My question is more of what is the formula that is used for the pub point calculated field
Good Video Thank U , keep posting
Thank you, I will :-)
How do I get the data for specific lat and lgn?
