hey! i love this customization you did for james, i just wanted to know what color you used for the face? and what do you do for the pupils? i plan on buying rexecutions james and henry faces and wanted to know, thank you!! keep up the awesome work!
Can you please make a video with better details on the screws? I'm trying to fix my bachmann james but I cannot take the engine shell off to solder the motor, and i think it may have to do with the eye mechanism screw you mentioned. Thanks
No, this was a conscious choice. Paint bleed would only affect the immediate area next to the body. Since they're made and painted separately that's definitely not the issue
Some problem that I have with my James model (Original Red not Origins), is that his front guiding wheels don't stay on the track properly. I don't know why. But as soon as those wheels go and he hits a set of points it derails him or causes him to stop completely. How do I make it so his guiding wheels stay on the track? Do I need to tighten the spring or loosen/remove it completely? Because the spring is already pretty tight. His wheels don't freely move like the other models do, it requires force to move the wheels in any direction.
I have for my filming Thomas but it rides too low and can catch on points. Percy and James ride too high. Plus I don't have any spare couplers on hand to give them
@@Legomastr365 got u i see the issues biy i just wondering couldnt u use the donald douglas & duck couplers would work also i want to start my thomas model collection but still broke
The issue isn't the coupler length, it's the buffer beam height. Thomas, Percy, and James weren't built to a standard height like the others, so Thomas' running board is too low to be compatible with rolling stock, and Percy and James' are too high. I attached a coupler to my filming Thomas because he can just get by with it. On James and Percy it doesn't stick too well (I tried) and it's a bit distracting
These mods uplift the model a lot I wish this was how Bachmann did it
I had a spare Bachmann Thomas and used the tail-lamp to my Bachmann James.

Fantastic video, the little modifications you've made to James makes him look so much better! Do you know who made that James theme at 1:07?
That's SA Music's James theme! Specifically the season 3 variant. Here's the link to it on Soundcloud:

You do realize that this stops me and others from finding videos on how to fix him as in repair the broken parts
Only theory I have for the odd darker running board is just paint bleed since the mold is black plastic.

If it's too tight it might not swivel right
@@Legomastr365 So loosen it up a bit by compressing it? Or just remove it entirely and see if that works? Or is the spring required?
Just loosen the screw that holds it together a bit. Not a lot. Like maybe a turn
@@Legomastr365 Thanks for the info. I'll see if it works soon.
Amazing
And the Bachmann lamps aren’t even screen accurate
How do the eyes stay in?
Tac
@@Legomastr365 ohhhh thank you
how about adding a front coupling and for thomas plus percy
