I learned to skate in this rink! Loved it. I miss it. If I can ever figure out transportation there I would be so on it. I no longer have a car and there isnt public transportation there.
Aww maybe there’s someone you can carpool with? I’d like to eventually check out their other sessions too, but not being from the area I’m not sure when that will happen!
@@RollingInTuneTV I know 0 people where I live that roller skate but if you know a way, I live in Gaithersburg, MD. Its not bad by car but no reasonable public transportation. I would love to do some snapping, artistic lessons or just normal public sessions! Courts are ok but really miss the rink!!
I can understand wanting to get into a rink! Maybe check for regional Facebook skate groups. I feel like there is a DMV one. I bet if you ask in there people may be able to help!
@@RollingInTuneTV I did a month ago, no one responded but Ill try again. I can try anacostia but thats 2 1/2 hrs to get there but when it cools off some, think they have some dance skating there, although maybe beginner steps.
@@claudinestone6152 I spent a good amount of time last spring/summer at Anacostia when rinks were still closed. Lots of great memories. There were all levels of skaters there then, but not sure what the scene is like now. I’ll link some vids I took there last year in a second comment :)
It was a nice session! My first time at that rink, though I’ve been to most of the rest in the area. I may be either there again or at Temple Hills next Thursday :)
