    📆 The years 1970 - 1977 will all be based on same information for the most part.
    🧰 The DIY videos and How To videos would help you with these years but also relate and cross over to many other hotrod projects or restoration builds.
    📩 Let us know if you have any questions or need help building your race car, drag car or hotrod.
    🎨 We also cover a lot of painting videos along with body work and the salvage title industry when buying, selling, or owning salvage rebuilt total loss vehicles.

    Cool trick for better visibility on the stamped numbers. Take a bright color paint pen (yellow) and paint over the numbers and before it dries take a rag and wipe off the side of the socket. Be sure to clean off and grease or oil before painting.

    That DeWalt kit is a really good kit..really good quality for the price..and you get 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4".. all the extensions and universal joints..
    Dewalt's impacts are a good price too..they're not expensive and very good...
    But honestly any cheap impacts will do..

    Appears, to be, a nice set of Impact sockets!
    I, always use spray adhesive and glue the foam, to lid. The foam is more important, than many think. Maybe not, on those big sockets. Especially, when youre dealing with small sockets, etc. I, travel and repair various machines. Work outside, a lot. Try, to keep everything in its place. Just, my 2 cents.

      Great idea! I’ll do that. Yes I agree I keep it in my other boxes for that reason

    Ive had good results with their sockets but if you throw a big boy Milwaukee impact on some rusted/seized northern vehicle suspension bolts dont sit there and hammer on them for long periods, if its too hot to grab its about to break. Keep it cool and they will last, my 1-1/16” shattered on an 8.8 pinion nut crushing the crush sleeve while i was holding the flange….wasnt the sockets fault it was the user/operator 😂. I just wish they made semi deep impact sockets though.

    Would recommend vevor and wen. Have over a dozen of their tools, and never been disappointed or had any issues with them.

    how thick are they? alot of times have to use chrome socket because impact won't fit in tight areas

    • @ThePaintPaperHustle
      @ThePaintPaperHustle  2 місяці тому +1

      Yea I’ve had that problem. I didn’t measure them. We need them for a lot of suspension parts and such though

    • @NonTypicalRacing
      @NonTypicalRacing 2 місяці тому +1

      Unfortunately, the thickness "is" part of what makes them impact sockets, along w/the lack of vanadium, and presence of higher carbon and the fact that they are cromoly. That's when you get a leveraged up breaker bar or something manual on it, the thin wall chrome socket that is.

      Did wanna say, I've had great luck (time tested) with turning down(lathe) a cheap impact socket (ie: 5/8" 1/2"drive for head bolts on SBC) and they hold up!
