    Just finished making this sauce. I have tried many recipes and this is identical to the real deal from Chicago Illinois. We thank you, my kids and family love it follow it the way he explained, everything will come out perfect.

    Tried it just now, it's exactly the same, same texture same taste.. just as sweet.. i also added a few scotch honey whiskey.. and i substituted the cayenne pepper with hot paprika..

    I tried it today, and ate it with some beef pot roast. It tasted sooooooo good, thank you so much, and I substituted the jack Daniels with Johnny walker as that is what I had

      Goes down well at BBQ's, I hope you enjoy it!! I use it all the time no just at BBQ's!! My favourite is on Crispy Chicken and then sprinkle with some sesame seeds. Mmm!

    also, will using different kinds of whiskey matter? Does it have to be Old 7 black label sour mesh only to bring out the same TGIF glaze taste?

    Can this be stored in the fridge for days/weeks or must it be used the same day?

      Sorry! Looks like I missed your question! I use it the same day but you can keep it in the fridge for up to 5 days. I have frozen my leftover sauce before and defrosted when I want to use it and was still delicious!

      If you follow my recipe it will turn out perfectly, just remember not to let it boil over! Takes a lot of cleaning if you do!!

    Can you tell me if this sauce is inspired by the bottled Jack Daniel's sauce you find in the supermarkets? Or inspired by the sauce that is from T.G.I. Friday's, because they do not taste similar at all.

      Hi Gemma! This recipe is based on the TGI Fridays restaurant Jack Daniels Glaze/Sauce where I used to work in the UK. We used to cook this from scratch. I hope you enjoy it!

      Gemma Elstone I like it with chicken especially deep fried with breadcrumbs and then pour this sauce over it and sprinkle with sesame seeds! Yummy!

    You say this is "based on Tgi Friday's sauce" Does that mean it's your own version of their sauce recipe or it's actually their recipe?

      I worked in TGI Fridays when they made all their sauces from scratch and this is almost the same recipe we used in the restaurant and I have just adapted it slightly to work in a smaller batch

      @@SimonsKitchenUK So I just made this. I have the TGI Fridays sauce that I bought from the restaurant ($25. for a bag). I made your version and warmed up the restaurant version. Other than the heat coming from the Cayenne, I cannot tell the difference between them. I will only add 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne for my next batch. Thank you so very much for this!!!!       I use Garlic Salt as I dont add any additional salt to the recipe but you can use Granules too!

      @@tmnorton1703 Thanks for your feedback and I am glad you enjoyed it. If it's too spicy hot for you can just leave out the Tabasco or like you said put half a teaspoon or less. I like a bit of a kick!
