I was in the 3d printing industry for 6 years. Thanks big A for showing how hard it is to get started. Appreciate u. Dope guns btw
what u mean "how hard" i mastered it instantly
@@atrioc I meant for your other two competitors. Ez money. Let's get you a 3d printing sponsor.
@@atrioc Well you showed the struggle of the average man in relation to professional quality rendering. The other two STRUGGLED against a sensei of Blender like you. I think they have the ability to go far, though.
@@atriocyou know they say ten thousand hours in something makes you a master at it.. maybe all the painting really did the trick.
@@atrioc miyamoto miyasaki, me ya boi atrioc, missed opportunity im so funny right
Bro it's so satisfying watching anyone that's good at their craft doing their thing. Juxtaposing them against a complete novice makes it even better though.
Truue
Right? Seeing big As expertise juxtaposed against those two noobs is so satisfying!
LOL FR
0:06 Lil bro hit his wittle hat with his wittle fingy
He thought we wouldn't notice
😂😂
you mean humongus glizzers
@@Max_JustMaxSo true! There’s nothing “wittle” about his “fingy”
so embarassing ICANT
This would make an excellent series. Maybe extending the idea to other fields? Like you vs. a hobbyist vs. professional programmer? Kind of a yoinked bros vs pros with a twist shall we say
Big A could probably only make it say “Hello World” unless he was given previous knowledge or at least code blocks
@@Big_Country_67 oh yeah for sure he'd have to do some tutorial or something like he did here
Agree, but programming is a very bad example. I’d think speedrunning a new game (after watching some tutorials and playing it a bit) or doing some creative work (digital drawing or music) could work well.
@@titusandronicus8432 for sure I think that'd be awesome. I'm just biased as a programmer after reading all of the blender artist's comments in here
It doesn’t have to be programming, perhaps knitting or basket weaving or sword smithing.
titling a folder "3d printed gun for airport trip" is a solid way to get put on a watchlist INSTANTLY
This is so spot on to what it feels like to learn a new software holy shit lmao. Can we make this a series where you learn protools or unreal next lol
No one deserves to be forced to learn pro tools
Pro tools is such a pain to learn I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Fl studio please 😂
Blender is so much harder to use than it looks, it took me like a whole month to make and understand how to make a donut on Blender while using a tutorial. It’s crazy how cheap stuff on the Blender model store is, especially considering the detail put into each model.
It’s even harder to avoid n-gons when you’re first starting
Let me guess blender guru? If you followed all the steps of blender guru a month makes sense because he covers all the bases, from modelling to texturing to sculpting to lighting, etc but it becomes much easier later on
Yeah if people get really good at something and they can do it fast combined with the infinite supply there is from free software, stuff gets really cheap which is kinda frustrating for people new in the field.
Blender is capable of so many things that it's possible to completely skip over learning geometry, texturing, shaders, etc. When I first started with blender I just downloaded pre-rigged models and environments and I jumped straight into animating since that was what I was interested in.
I think a lot of people get filtered out of learning blender (or any software) because they spend too much time doing boring tutorials for things that they have no interest in. I think it's much better to just have an idea of what you want to make and only learn what's necessary to achieve that goal. That's what I did with Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, etc. I rarely ever tried to follow a tutorial and instead just skimmed through various tutorials/forum posts to learn how to do the one specific thing I'm trying to do at that moment so I can move forward with my project.
I think what it ultimately comes down to is trying to avoid reinventing the wheel. Countless people before you have already modeled a sofa, so unless the focus of your project is the sofa then you shouldn't waste time modeling one and just download one. Eventually there will come a time when you need to model something and then it might be worth it to learn that skill from the ground up, but I would seriously avoid doing things that aren't fun or purposeful if you want to stick with any of these softwares.
@@onechippyboi Yeah I agree, I used to think that everything had to be made by me to be truly creative. I was literally trying to model trees. Like bro just download one nobody cares if you model it or not, and your tree is gonna look horrible unless u spent hours on learning it and applying it. if you can get to your vision by skipping parts it doesn't undermine your creativity. You might not be the best tree modeller but that's not what you're trying to be. Its like a drummer carving his own drum sticks and cutting the tree for the wood of the drum sticks.
As someone who spent 4 hours today rigging and setting up the IK for a model with 8 arms this is delightful.
0:01 ah yes Hayao Hiyazaki famous game designer
a true natural. ive been using blender for 7 years and i couldnt even make this. incredible job mr. gliz
Been learning Blender for 6+ years this was a great showcase of different skill levels. Would love more of this!
I’m disappointed this video is about weapons and not about big A flexing.
Excited to see blender content! I’m not any good at 3D modeling either and I haven’t even spent much time doing it but it’s so fun to play with geometry nodes in blender - you can make some absolutely crazy stuff super easily
Genuinely a super fun video. I love watching people try learning new things and watching simultaneously a master at work
Big A popping up w a video as soon as I open youtube has got to be the best feeling ever cl
i watched the stream which was a 9/10 but the video having timo and isto's perspectives juxtaposed instantly makes this a 10, fkin hilarious
Can this become a series where you try and learn a new skill and go against people at various mastery levels.
Would love a drawing or cooking episode.
Would be awesome to see more content like this in the future. Was entertained for the entire video.
That was cool to see big A teach those beginners how to model. Would love more content with them
Really liked this! It's different from your usual content, good that you like to try different stuff
Great VOD Link
That opening was amazing 😂
Cant believe the glizzler is making guns, just like his dad the lolW Master
My first time watching this channel and seeing any 3D modelling. This was awesome and i loved every minute! thanks!
I could have never imagined Atrioc would ever stream blender of all things. I love this entire idea and video so so so much!
0:03 I thought the answer was 'me' kuz they all have me in them
that's the wrong miyazaki in the beginning 😭😭😭 that's hayao miyazaki, the studio ghibli guy, hidetaka miyazaki is the fromsoft guy
You haven't played Spirited Away for the Nintendo GameCube?
Pretty sure that’s the same guy. He just changed his first name a bit as an alias.
Editor messed up lmao
@@-ZHThe Hayao Miyazaki clones singlehandedly empowering every industry
Big A struggling for 1 hour to find the thing he wants is such a Blender moment
Watching the entire vod of this endeavor was the greatest 3 hours of my life
I never imagined you would suddenly do blender content, but i'm here for it
I would love to see this video format more!! Maybe something about music next since Mozart is part of your audience?
great video Big A , i missed this stream but the vid went hard
next episode you should challenge a professional 3d modeler to a glizzy making contest! get it because he has glizzy fingers? god bless and remember to vote!
Hey can you do more long plays i loved that outerwilds one😭🙏🙏🙏
Dude I really wanna see more of your Blender journey!
That was hilarious!!! I want more
now this is proper variety content. i support
Props to Isto for doing a great job! I think it shows how just "a few hours" of practice in most skills can already make a massive difference compared to "basically 0 hours"
The improvement between 0h and 20h of practice is probably similar to the improvement from 20h to 200h
Tho ofc, it's those finals few percents that really separate the pros. Cool vid :)
Swear to all things my guy, damn discord notifcation in ur vids always get me.
Very excited for Mr.Ewings next rant about stupid chatters on stream
The cut-backs to Atrioc's are the best. I laughed out loud so many times (and one time identically to Atrioc which scared me)
More of these pls
"I gotta a square!" ain't no way 💀💀💀
The exact moment he discovered the Bloom slider I knew it was over for him
9:05 quite exquisite 🧐

watching this entire stream from just Atrioc's perspective was certainly an experience
Watching this live was actually a herculean task. and the elon tweet was insane
Cool idea, more stuff like this
Thank god it is 20 minutes after this video is uploaded so I can learn it the best.
Let's call it a 3 way tie
Looking forward to the unlocking the 'cyber gun' in hitman woa
discord sound at 0:22. Good one, big a!
bros vs pros looking different a
Is there a place where we can watch the full work for the other guys?
Every time the video cuts back to big A I burst out laughing! This was me in photoshop when I first started 😂
as a 3d artist, this is the best video you have ever posted LMFAO
Bro really coming out here hitting new records for APM with all those hotkeys hes hitting
Autodesk maya is definitely a version of blender and that's why the best one uses it :)
First atrioc video since the hitman speedrun video. My god. Good content though
What are the links to the other modelers? I'd like to see Timo's whole process on this.
I never thought id see my profession (hardsurface artist) on ur channel lmaooo
Ah yes, i remember watching this stream in December
This was a fun and soothing watch.
That Timo guy's kinda sick with it 🔥
Obligatory thank you editors for using Mario Strikers Charged music it makes me so happy every time I hear it and reminds me of when i grinded the hard mode in elementary school. much love
You should do this against an architect in sketchup
16x times the detail with all that triangles
555K, looks so beautiful
i was in the 3D printing industry for 0 years. thanks big A for showing how easy it is to get started. appreciate u. dope guns btw
Dude, this was actually a cool idea to do :) I enjoyed this!
CHEFS KISS
hes literally making the gmod handgun in krimson web haha 7:33
Atrioc's Glock looks something straight out of Cruelty Squad.
Bro, that is Hayao Miyizaki! You're thinking of Hidetaka LMFAO
Can't tell if the wrong Miyazaki in the intro is a mistake or just part of the bit
Damn Blender looks fun
Pissed that nobody put a switch on the back
I can’t believe how many times I laughed and how good this was
Can we get more content with The Doinkler. He and Atrioc have such a great dynamic.
Love seeing the Atrio developer again
I only have a few hours in blender but damn your UV unwrapping hurt my soul
The editor put the wrong Miyazaki 😂
"I have a fucking square"
It's interesting, the differences between the real gun and the models. Trigger safety missing on the model for 2/3, the rear plate missing on 2/3 , no dimples modeled into the grip for the thumb to rest on any of them, the rear sight on the most experienced designer's gun actually looks incredibly small and weak. The slide release might not be present but I cannot tell. Disassembly notches missing on all of them it looks like.
there's levels to everything, makes human inventions tight as fuck
Bro they only had 3 hours to do this, not 3 days or weeks
If someone really cared about making it accurate they would've used the schematics. But doing that is extremely lame, anyone can follow a super strict design, the idea is to just model from a given picture (as a 3D artist) otherwise they would've used cad software
@@SahiPie I know, I know. And the real small details can easily be done with textures anyway. But I'm just highlighting things I noticed that many people probably didn't even bat an eye at, not that they didn't do an amazing job in 3 hours.
@@grogcito Also, I'd argue using the schematics to make a model for a firearm is not lame at all. Much of the skill of modeling, in my opinion, is knowing the tools at your disposal. You can take a CAD class and model the same exact shape in multiple ways. Modeling from a picture also takes skill and even then, no 2 people will sculpt it with the same methods.
Always good to see The Doinkler again
Let’s go my favourite glarketer made a video on one of my favourite hobbies
Missed opportunity to give The Ghost the CyberGun
0:20 green what’s your problem green?
0:01 is the wrong miyazaki lol
If this is how guns looked like then the 2nd amendment wouldn’t be amendable
"3d printed gun for airport trip"
'for airport trip" is genius
I’ve been working in cad for approximately 5 years and I feel you
"Bros vs. Pros: Shinzo Abe"
Watching Atrioc get frustrated about the paint feature not working was so relatable 😂
I took a Solidworks class last semester and one night I stayed up until 4 AM working on a project that gave me the same kind of issues 😂 things I’d done before just not working and I could not figure out why. So funny
gun!
Okay, positivity. Let’s try positivity…
I think it’s really impressive how Big _A_ somehow made everything so asymmetrical!
Wow you are right I am pretty great
Why is there no link or credit to the other creators? Who was the expert g
