These new poomsaes are way too complex and unrealistic for most people to learn. They are very nice to watch being performed by a high level athlete like the one in the video, however for a regular athlete it is way too complicated to perform.
I hope that this is just a marketing campaign that the WTF came up with to attract people. Hopefully it is not something that they are seriously considering adding to the curriculum.

They are for poomsae competition on a very high level, don't black belt dan grades, don't expect most people to learn it.

The only part that should be hard for a regular athlete to do is 3:28.... But that is just in this poomsae, haven't yet seen all of the others, only Himchari.

The reason that World Taekwondo came up with this is actually due to seperating the best athletes from each other, so there is more to go on in terms of judging who is the winner. There are more possibilities of error in these.

Eladio Mats I think it is good for me I thought wtf TKD forms are too easy. It’s good for Somebody 24 years old and has 5dan black belt. So I can reach Next level perfecting that new competition. I know it’s not for everybody. But if you are young masters who perfected original forms it is a great one step for us. For Young masters 16-32 who is in Physically great shape. I believe all TKD masters are in shape, any masters can learn and perform that Technique.

Not a fan as I think they really overdid it. I see why they thought this idea up so on freestyle forms that are often athletic and flashy, they won't be left wondering if there were any actual mistakes made - as all they can do is grade technique and overall showmanship etc.
I am a master with 42 years experience and can judge technique, power, etc but if they make up their own form, I don't know if they miss one move or swap a couple!
This new form idea helps with that but I feel they tried to crank way too much in and forced a lot.
There isn't much symmetry there and no traditional sets of 3 series of moves but rather a big bunch of flashy moves and jumps and "tornado" kicks all over the place in no real sensible pattern.
All they really had to do was have all freestyle forms submitted in standardized written out move format and the judges get this paper with the competitors match sheet etc.
Not perfect but I would rather have seen this than these "new forms".
