Wanted to do this to see if I could get past second boss "chain gang". Took a few attempts before I timed it all right. Could have made it easier by using Ritual of Retribution but just about had enough with my normal aoe and dots.
This was a while ago now so things might have changed but I just timed putting all my ground dots down so they killed one of the chain gang while I was down. The boss always summons the chain gang after doing a certain action (cannot remember what sequence they are, see vid)
I just soloed this dungeon on a StamDK. It was very unconventional but hey it worked. During the first boss when she used her chain lock (The one thing in this dungeon thats preventing solo runs) is that the adds she uses always spawn in the same locations opposed to you every time. Two in front of you and 2 behind you. I ran front bar Bow and back bar Destro staff. I focused on DOTs and equipped my companion with them as well. Front bar I equipped Molten Armaments (Increased damage) and Endless Hail (I did have the Non-perfected Thunderous Volley/Maelstrom Bow for a little more DPS) and on back bar I used Elemental Blockade (With Crushing Wall/Maelstrom Staff) with Volatile Armor (Major Resolve as well as an AOE) I placed Endless Hail and Elemental Blockade right in front of me so the two adds that spawn when she uses that chain stun lock ability always get caught in it. Volatile Armor hits anyone near you. I used Ember as my companion and for the majority of the fight I let her grab aggro and I positioned myself behind the boss while she smacked Ember. Right in between the two adds that would spawn in front of me. I have Shocking Burst equipped on Ember so when ever she casted it on the boss it would also hit the adds. (This might be easier with a tank companion but not sure) Since all the DOTs were stacked on top of each other it killed the adds before the chain stun could kill me as well as applying decent DPS on the boss. It did require good timing and I'll admit a lot of luck. I honestly will admit timing and luck probably played a lot into this method but hey. I got my undaunted key so yeeeeee.
I hate the second boss, the only reason I'm trying to solo dungeons is to get the quests done since with other people you pretty much aren't allowed to pay attention to the quests, and this bitch is making it impossible on my stamsorc.
Yeah if you don't have a load of aoe on the ground when you are chained it's going to be pretty much impossible. This was a while ago though, may be some new skills/ultimates that can be used to break you out of chains??
@@chaalsybir4831 20:02 They also patched this, I had a friend help with the second boss and went the rest of the way solo up to this boss, can't stand on the bridge to cheese the shadow realm pull now cause it loses agro regardless of doing damage or how close you are.
Same issue here. Stam Nightblade and even with the Shadow up and a companion, as you can't choose their target, you're done. So thanks to that video, at least I know I didn't miss anything and it's basically not doable with my build. Pity :|
what a cheap, anti-solo mechanic zos uses here, unnecessary. in keeping with their 'why the fuck do you bother with this? go buy some crown crates.' attitude toward players.
ZOS are determined to stop solo play ! and the gankers have made PVP a pain in the backside ! The result PVP players are leaving , SOLO players are leaving and the mmo side of the game is suffering too ! ... The only way for ESO to regain popularity is to encourage and reward SOLO play ,,, Solo has the advantage of allowing people to play without having to bribe their mates to get back into a game they have become fedup with ! ...
Sadly ZOS are killing this game with their determination to ruin solo play ! The new speel crafting will undoubtedly make things even worse ! ./... The shadows are totaly unneccesary and only there to ruin the game ! The only way to get ZOS to allow us to play how we want is to stop our subscriptions and speak up
More third rate cheating by ZOS to ruin Solo play ! I have cancelled my subscription and i will spend not a penny until they have removed all these Solo spoilers hard i expect .but deliberately naking dungeons impossible to solo just so that someone will babysit their kids ! ... Pathetic

You can also use Psijic ultimate Precognition, but it eats up more Ultimate than it should so you can probably only use it once.
How did you get out of the chains I can never free myself

Ah well, it was a few years ago now when I did this :-)
Totaly fucked up - unable to solo. I tried using a ranged companion who AOE's the area, I then survive the first shadowgroup but second time i'm gone
