A week and a half? 3 bodies? We had a dead mouse once and I immediately informed my husband that if he didn't find it right away I was going to a hotel. It was horrific smelling. I can't imagine not having that looked into sooner.
Was it in the toaster?
...yes once in my drive way...I was smelling something horrible and I kept praying telling the Lord Jesus, oh no, oh no, what is that and where is it!!! It was a discussing smell and finally there was a barrel filled with rain water and there was like three or four dead rats in there!!! I don't know how people don't began to pray and "SEARCH" out such smells right awayyyyy!!! I just can't rest until I find it...no way...no how!!!
Look at the neighborhood.. Thats how they live
@@uncasunga1800Greetings to you in the mighty, mighty, mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ and all power of the 🔥 of the Holy Ghost!!! Amen!!! Amen!!! Who are "they???" Did you get the area of that city??? So you can go and give them some of your great abundance of wealth and perhaps to persuade them to move elsewhere or even to your neighborhood where you and or your more supreme dusty creatures can teach them a better way of living??? Amen!!! Did you??? Are you making preparations to do just that??? Amen!!! HELLO OOOOO!!! ARE YOU??? TELL US BECAUSE WE WANT TO KNOW...I WANT TO KNOW YOUR PLANS...
They probably didn't know what a dead body smelled like, they probably tried to mind their business thinking it would go away
Had this happen in college with the woman that lived across from me in the dorms. She’d been in her dorm room for at least two weeks deceased until she was discovered and I understand 100% what it means about that smell. That’s the only reason we called 911.There’s absolutely nothing like that kind of smell and once you smell it you never forget what that smell means.
Wow, it’s crazy that a young college student wouldn’t have friends or family that checked on her.
@@mmcmann9539 she was probably a boring hag
I’ve heard this before. It’s a smell one will never forget.

Obviously they’d never smelled human decomposition before because it has its own unique odor. It’s very recognizable once you’re aware of it.
Does the smell vary depending on the person like their weight and diet?
You have that right back in 88/89 my daughter had to have surgery on her ankle at Old General Hospital in Nashville TN.A woman was found inside a Motel Room deceased they told us to move far away from the Elevator because of the smell well we didn't move farther enough back and the smell OMG was terribleee I remember to this day that awful stinky day.
@@mikewhocheeseharry5292 It shouldn't be the longer the body is decaying with Maggots and whatever worse the smell. All though a heavier person has more body weight .
@@mikewhocheeseharry5292 human decomp has it's own unique odor. It doesn't have the same smell as other animals.
My elderly neighbor went missing. We lived in a rural setting. Our dogs began feeding on him after he decomposed. Law enforcement couldn't find him WITH A CADAVER DOG so they put a tracking collar on our dog and she led them to his corpse. He ended up being very close to our home on some hunting land. He had dementia and apparently got lost or overcome with heat. He was missing for several weeks before I heard my dogs rolling his skull around on our deck. It was very sad IMO that his children got him back like that. When he first went missing they had choppers and ATVs and ALOT of people on the ground searching to no avail.
“I don’t know what happened and I don’t want to know.” Amen.
I almost fell out my chair!
If I lived there I would definitely want to know.

Death smell, never forget...
A week and a half of no one caring!
Rip all of them.
They’ll never get that death smell (body decomposition) out of that apartment. It’s impossible once it sets in…that smell is there forever.
@@penelopelopez8296 okay we get it. and thats not true
@@penelopelopez8296 It can be remedied, but it's not easy or cheap.
The guy being interviewed came to the wrong conclusion. It's everyone's keeping to themselves that resulted in three people rotting in that apartment for over a week. If people care more about others and look out for each other, that's how you prevent situations like this.
That rings true, but on the other hand, this man is trying to stay safe in a dangerous world. He can't be faulted for that. It's unfortunate that our world has come to this.
I was thinking the same thing...
It’s a pandemic. Everyone is keeping to themselves.
Very true
You misunderstood his comment. He obviously had concern about the neighbors, because he accompanied the landlord in entering the apartment when the bodies were found.
Minding your business doesn't always work
Something similar happened across the street from where we lived when I was in high school. The cops broke the window where the body was and shoved the kid next door through the window to unlock the door. That kid was never the same again. I ran into him on a visit home and he…..just ain’t right. Like a zombie.
Im a retired county sheriff. I cant believe anyone in law enforcement used a civilian to do that. Even on the "Wellness Check" calls we got often.
This comment was in no way shape or form intended to be funny...but the way you explained it and to then imagine how it when down is completely messed up...I'm trying to figure out what in these folks right mind would think it is ok to use a kid in this way... That poor kid going in excited about being great and helping out to coming out needing extensive therapy for life...all I hear is EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
What happened. They used the neighbor kid to climb through the window?
Oh nooooo gosh that's sad
@@alphaomega5909 Yeah, that doesn't make sense.
How about the lady in Clearwater fl that was found in her house 3yrs later , they thought the house was in foreclosure and neighbors were cutting the grass.
You never forget that smell. Surprised they didn't check it out sooner, after 3 days of decomposing the smell is strong !!!.
I've been a maintenance guy and a maintenance supervisor. 4 Apartments mobile home parks and RV parks I have found six dead bodies in different residences and one laying on the street. Driving to work one day. Not a job for a person with a weak stomach.
Death has a distinct odor I’m surprised no one recognized it
Rest In Peace
I think that is what they found
Usually you can smell it within three days to go this long is incredible🤢 I feel for the victims and for the residence😱
So the neighbor doesn't want to know what happened......Interesting!
Trust me once you've smelled a rotting human corpse. You never forget that smell... That's a rough find.
And that decomposition smell will be in that apartment forever no matter what they do….you cannot get rid of it.

It's amazing to me the people who don't recognize the smell of death. 🤦♂️
How could they tell there was an odor in that hood !
That odor of decomposition will never leave that apartment no matter what they do. I don’t care what cleaning company they call….that odor of death will be in that apartment forever. You cannot get rid of it no matter what you do. I feel bad for the neighbors who will have to smell that odor for as long as they live there.
What does it smell like? And I bet Clorox will get rid of it
I believe you some of us can smell cancer ~ death real good too. I've watched those cleanup videos of the smell going thru hazmat suits it's so vulgar. And a cheap hotel keeping the decay waterproof mattress like you wanna sleep on that sludge pad.
A little febreeze and a glade candle will do it
@@BlackStallionxxx if you boil or braise the meat and leave some pieces in there, put it in the sink, fill it with water and leaving it there for 2-3 days you'll start getting the idea of what a dead body smells like. The more days pass by the more realistic to a dead body will smell
Cheers 🍻
That smell is like putting bread in a plastic cup with water and left it for several weeks it will smell so bad that you have wear a gas mask to get rid of it
No body who has ever experienced that smell ever forgets it.
It is a horrible smell, my cousin was buried. He was killed by his brother, the mortician brought me his wallet. He had layed on for nine months, it was a smell so horrible you cannot describe.
Pun intended?
It was my least favorite when working at the Medical Examiner's Office. The only thing that got me through it was realizing that every family deserves the answers that we help to provide...
Rest in Paradise, and condolences to the families involved 🙏
What does it smell like
Had that happen to me last week below neighbor of mine was dead for 3weeks i called on a welfare check n yup he was dead .. The smell is horrific.. It came up thru my kitchen floors now i got roaches.. Cant even cook in my house its not the same im grossed out
Yes, a decomposing body will leave that stench n that apartment forever. They will never get that smell out I matter what they do. Start looking for another apartment.
Not roaches! I bet those suckers 🪳 are worst than the smell of death! 🤢🤮
There is no food in the apartment so they are coming to yours
Your landlord has to fix that or you can stop paying rent in most states! In others you can still withhold rent but there is more of a process.
Regardless, your landlord should’ve taken care of the roaches. Having roaches in your house that preciously fed on a body is a huge health hazard!!
RIP to all lost and my condolences
Once you smell decomp, especially human decomp, you'll ALWAYS know the smell. The combo of glucose and iron as the body breaks down is a kind of sweet sickening smell. Coupled with bacterial gas is just hard to deal with. I've had to throw out clothes I've worn from working scenes. Maybe it was psychological but I couldn't get them clean.
Chris Neal, I know what you're talking about. Human decomp is distinctly different from animal decomp. I wasn't aware that the sweet odor was because of the reason you described. It was almost a bit fruity. Weird.
When I came home at night after working at my rental house (all day, every day - for two months), I'd strip off everything from head to toe and throw it in the washer before showering. I had to throw away a couple of pairs of shoes.
And, yes, it took a long time to get that smell out of my head.
Same...EMS. Found a guy who died while taking a bath in mid summer with no air conditioner and another who died sitting on the toilet...both were in those stages of decomp.
You just never know..I remember smelling something like rotting meat across an alley near where we lived, this lasted for a few days. A week later, it turned out to be the body of a 94-year old patient at a local nursing home who had wandered off and was found in the bushes there.
That cop has spent to much time at Dunkin Donuts 🤣🤣🤣
Wow they in the company of a serial killer 👀
Once you smell decomp you will NEVER forget it.
Lord have mercy!…sounds awful 😢
Y'all get a discount after that? 3 bodies is stinky when I've smelled 1 that was on the block outside. Insane. Be careful guys
A week and a half? What is wrong with people?
Condolences to their families.
Why did it take them so long to report it. Does it usually smell that bad that the smell of 3 dead bodies didn’t bother you until a week and a half?
Depends on temperature.
I remember I was in Elementary school and was walking home with my parent, one of my school friends lived right across our school when we heard her screaming, running out her garage that was wide open. What I and other students witnessed was horrible her uncle had hanged himself in there garage. Now that I think of it as an adult it looked like he was there for many hrs maybe thru out the night he did it. His face looked deformed, and purple I will never forget that face 😒
I am sorry you experienced that
What a horrible thing to put others through. Too lazy to go do it in the woods, I guess.
@@Armistead_MacSkye exactly what I was thinking.
For real? Can you please elaborate a little please?
Do you think that his spirit would linger and haunt around the garage or do think that it went up to heaven, or what are your thoughts??......You werent scared that his spirit might have followed you home at all??? This stuff is scary but it intrigues me.
Burned out villages, mass graves firsthand life experience that stays with you forever.

Is it similar to road kills or decomposing mice?
I just saw him yesterday walking past he was definitely handling it well 😬

I can't believe that nobody noticed them missing.
Gosh, even a decaying animal smells. We had a skunk trapped in our walls. It reeked for 2 weeks. Seven years later during a renovation project, the skunks fell out of the ceiling while it was being removed.
I suppose you mean their skeletons, right?
Ewww!
My second ex wife fell in a skunk den. Those Lil guys are mean. They were to her, at least. The whole family teamed up on her got maximum sprayage. Took a backhoe to get her out. Nobody wanted to touch her or get ropes stinky. It's actually probably the best way to get out of a skunk den. It's not as traumatic for the skunks. Remember just cuz you find a hole doesn't make it yours. She remembers. So, does the guy on the tractor.

When I was a little girl, my family lived across a prison with electrical barbed wired fence . Almost every night, there was an attempted prison break. We would be awakened in earliest mornings with the most toe curling agonizing shrieks and shortly after the stench of decaying burning flesh would fill the air. It was an indescribable smell but I remember it to be overwhelming and nauseous. In the morning what would remain would be patches of flesh reminiscent of skewed meat that would have to be scraped off a barbecuer's grill .
I had nightmares for years.
Oh my!
Not true. Prisons don't have escape attempts every day. Maybe 2 times per year at tops

"Snitches get stitches" is how more people end up hurt in the long run. Some things need to be snitched.

if i had to guess, maybe they froze in their sleep, or it was a fintynyl overdose
They just started investigating maybe it was a drug overdose maybe it was a murder. I mean he could have been out at the corner store when it happened .
They had to be decomposed for 3-4 weeks before the smell begins to fumigate. Was this a crime or a unfortunate untold event???
UGH! How gruesome for them to experience that so close-by. Hope they figure it all out and take care of it.
That just really pisses me off about the guy that says I don't know what happened and I don't want to know. What if that was your relative. Would you want to know then? This is the reason stuff happens. Cuz nobody steps in and makes a stand. Just ridiculous.
Oh my gosh I love that guys accent. I don’t bother nobody round herr. So southern. ❤️
