The clowns are in town! 2022 marks the beginning of a new decade of madness, as the CIRCUS OF FOOLS turns 10 and celebrates this with the most elaborate album of its career, completely financed by the fans.
With "The March of the Puppets 2022", a re-recording of the "Raise the Curtain" classic in a completely new guise is now being released as a single in advance. In the successful crowdfunding for the new album, this song was chosen by the supporters to be given a new coat of paint. You can hear the incredible development that this band has gone through in the last few years. A new, German-language verse, adapted to the current situation in the world, was written and performed by none other than ULLI PERHONEN, vocalist of the symphonic metal through-starters SNOW WHITE BLOOD... And the awesome mix by Christoph Wieczorek (annisokay, WBTBWB, Future Palace) refines the gem to a true bling. Wild, crazy, brute and with a good portion of irony.
Boundaries are torn down here, musically as well as socially! Always with a broad, satirical grin, the seven poisonous court jesters of the apocalypse raise their warning finger and roll out the steamroller over ignorance, hate, discrimination and self-destruction. In these 10 years, the band has undergone an insane development: From a couple of hobby musicians in a student's room, to an absolute dramatic force, both live on stage and preserved for eternity. Modern Metal Madness, that is the fusion of the charismatic voices of singer/screamer Tim Strouken and the new, very versatile singer Tammy Keinath, epic string arrangements of violist Coen Strouken and the monstrous but at the same time very detailed metal blast of guitarists Julian Langer and Dominik Bolter, bassist Yannick Ninkov and drummer Nico Staller. Symphonic, industrial, folk, nu metal, metalcore, melodic death, gothic... the influences are manifold and yet they form a coherent, very own and unmistakable sound. War auf dem Mediaval und hatte vorher mal geguckt, wer da alles so spielt und habe etwas die Bands ausgecheckt. Was soll ich sagen, Ihr seid gleich eingeschlagen bei mir, einfach klasse Musik und kluge Texte. Von der Show war ich auch schwer begeistert!
