- Princess Diana accompanies Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles to the State Opening of Parliament for the first time in 7 years on October 31, 1991.
Prince Philip was overseas, so the Queen requested that the Prince and Princess of Wales accompany her this time round.
This was Diana's last appearance at the Opening of Parliament before her separation from Charles the following year in 1992.

She is the role model of my generation. She charmed and was admired by the world more because of her good heart rather than just being a crowned head. Its just sad that she outshone her husband which led to an unhappy marriage. Yet she is remembered with much fondness.

No. The problem was that Diana was in love with the idea of being wife of the Heir to the Throne. She never showed the tiniest indication of love for Charles, and started cheating in the first three years.
There is NO EVIRENCE of a relationship between Charles and Camilla in the early years of the marriage, until 1986, when it was unofficially, but most definitely over.
Charles' jealousy of Diana is a story Diana put out. The problem was Diana's jealousy of the QUEEN! Just look at Diana's face in this video.

Rolling their eyes while their partner makes a speech.
Looking bored while their partner plays a polo match.
Ramming a large bunch of flowers in their partners face
Throwing a spewy cloth at their partner in front of the cameras.
Refusing a beautiful gift offered by their partner in front of the cameras.
Turning their head so it bangs the partner's face.
Telling a reporter their husband should not be King.
Implying that the Queen does not love her faithful subjects as much as the narcissist does.
Implying dishonestly that their husband has always cheated.
Saying that no-one in the family knew anything oe helped with Post Natal Depression (not even the Duchess who had lost two babies)
Sitting in a glorious Royal Palace with a hairdresser, and five trips to New York a year, and complaining for lack of attention.....
Cheating on ones spouse with the security officers, and half the cavalry.......
Having ones casual shag delivered under a rug....
Dumping a loving heart surgeon for a crack-head playboy.....
Falling out with your sisters, your sister-in-law, your Mother, your Granny, your boys' Nannies, your House-keeper..... and throwing your maid's engagement ring down the loo....
These are the things that a Narcissist does.
A person who is NOT a Narcissist ....... puts up with the betrayal quietly for a few years...
then eventually goes back to someone who is kind, supportive and trustworthy, and stays with that person in a contented relationship for 30 years.
The NON-Narcissist is discrete.-
They do not TALK about the Mother of their boys, and her betrayals.
They continue to support their Monarch.
They quietly fund 1 million young people into small business enterprises.
They fund the vaccination of thousands of young children.
They work at improving sustainable land management.
They wear the same brown overcoat and same grey morning suit for twenty years.
Do not judge King Charles on anything that his Narcissistic first wife did or said about him.
Judge him on the man you see him to be.
The world went crazy after Princess Diana left. She will forever be Queen of our hearts.

Catherine, Princess of Wales is a stable, gracious and unassuming personality from a solid stable family. Very lucky for PWilliam.
Best personality? She was damaged by her dysfunctional childhood, a boy born before her died (he would have been the heir) and she was made to feel inadequate for being a girl. She describes her father hitting her mother, who lost a custody battle when they divorced, and her father brought home a new wife without even telling the children that he was remarrying. Her father has several affairs, and sexually harassed female staff, including the children's nannies. She was paranoid and expected all men to be like her father, uncaring, unreliable and unfaithful, so no wonder she accused Charles of having affairs with any female he was close to. It was all she knew. The 'third person' she talked about was in fact not Camilla but the boys' Nanny Alexandra Legg-Bourk who she she accused of getting pregnant by Charles and having a abortion. She needed public adulation to bolster her confidence, so courted publicity to ensure that she had it, and used the press to further her own ends, including trying to make her long-term lover jealous by gallivanting around France with Dodi Fayad instead of spending the school holidays with her sons. We all know how that ended.
Some people honestly reach such iconic status in their lives that you feel as if they are immortal! It's always such a shock when they leave us.
Just watching Diana walk in this procession she looks so regal and elegant. How incredibly sad how her life was ended so tragically.

It wasn’t a “wry little smile”. It was a smirk. She didn’t want to be there. Didn’t understand what it was all about. Because she never bothered to learn anything that was hard. When the Queen Mother called her ‘thick’ she wasn’t wrong. Diana, for all her beauty and great fashion sense, wasn’t very bright. You don’t have to be exceptionally smart for the ‘job’, but you do need common sense. And unfortunately she had none. Her son Harry has inherited that from her. William, thank goodness, did not.

However, I thought it was telling that the woman who Princess Diana lived with for two months before her marriage in order to teach her how to navigate thru the myriad protocols required would make this remark. Apparently, based on the remark, she didn’t do well and the Queen Mother turned off on her to the affect that they didn’t even speak towards the end. Diana was a lovely woman and a loving mom to her two boys. Unfortunately that’s not enough to fulfill the position she married into, and the marriage suffered.

Camilla didn't give him the chance to know and love Diana. Always around for Distraction . Like Diana said, there were three 3⃣ of them in the Marriage and it was CROWDED.
The Royal Family did not use her and they did not abandon her.
She brought about the divorce by doing the Panorama Interview and after the divorce she was still allowed to live at Kensington Palace with a 400,000 pound a year Allowance from the RF to pay for her staff. That was on top of her Divorce Settlement.

Haznat Khan had warned her not to trust Bashir but she said she wanted to do the interview anyway.
They abandoned each other. Diana was very young when she took on the job of being The Princess of Wales. She and Charles were not suited and it was never a happy marriage. I do not believe that it would have been right for Charles to have continued pretending that all was good and that they could both have had affairs and carried on. That is not right either and their children would have been no better off.
