Pancho is smart. He's not sure what's up with the camera and he doesn't trust new things much. He didn't enter his stall until he saw that the cat was calm.
A donkey that’s stubborn? Say it isn’t so.
As far as I know that's quite a common way for donkeys to act with new things, isn't it? They like to "think about it" which is often misconstrued as stubbornness.
Pancho was being cautious.
Almost as stubborn as my chihuahua.
you’re 100% right! I always thought of training donkeys and mules more like training cats than horses. makes sense a donkey would trust a cat’s judgement.
Pancho is like my Corgi. He knows what he's supposed to do, but he really has other plans.
Lol
I had a Corgi for years I can attest to this lol
I love this. May God bless all who treat animals so kindly, as they should be treated.
I love their guard cat. He was watching the horses and donkey come in from the stairs.
the cats run the barn....

A dignified Cat would never place such a thing in its Mouth. Its unsanitary! But they will ping pong the hell out of them. (My Cats)
@@margolockwood9323 😂😂😂😂
@@margolockwood9323 When my tuxedo was alive he and my tabby loved to play 'basketball". Passing the poor creature back and forth using the wall as a backboard. It would be quite the scrimmage.
I wish all animal owners were as kind and thoughtful as this man, and kept their animals in such clean environments.
clean for the video
@@mannyechaluce3814 cleaned every day
@@MikeskaBrands No one understands how frequently those areas are cleaned for it to look that good. You didn't even have to defend yourself; every horse/barn owner knows what it takes to make it look that nice.

Cleanest barn I have ever seen. Wow.
He's already at the door for hay and oats! Beautiful! Pancho is cute as heck! Little guy.
When I was a kid(I’m 60 now) we had a 50 cow Holstein dairy. Every afternoon we would let the cows out, clean and put fresh bedding in their stalls, and clean and put fresh food in their mangers. Each cow had a name and a specific stall. When we let them back in, they would each go to their own stall. Very cozy on a cold winter night!
In the warm months the cows were only brought inside morning and evening for milking. They mostly lived in the pasture.
Thank God for wonderful, caring farmers who work so hard every day & carry around huge hearts💕
What a beautiful memory!
God bless you madam. Its people like you who is the hope for humanity.

Pancho's looking at him like, "you're gonna shut the door as soon as I go in, aren't ya?" 😄 So cute!
So sweet..and wonderful to see no halters left on them.
What a great video. Thank you! How adorable. So nice to see these animals are loved.
Aww poncho is hesitant because he is the only one that can’t see out of the gates! What a cute donkey.
That barn is nicer than many people's homes. It's gorgeous.Spot is such a gorgeous horse (they all are,) cracks me up, a horse named "Spot."
It's sure cleaner that some people's homes!
Its bigger than my house.
Do they not get water as well?
@@davidcotto8955 each of their boxes are bigger than my apartment 😂
I love how the first 2 into their stalls were looking out to see is the other 2 were coming!
Beautiful horses but, little Pancho is the star of this video!
He's got some chihuahua in him. When you call them in they always stop to light a cigarette or something.

There is nothing more beautiful on earth than seeing animals well cared for and loved. Each one is so content and happy to be there. Not some neglected prisoner of an abusive owner. What a joy! Beautiful horses and little donkey, he is so darn cute! Thank you for this wonderful content and for being a kind owner.
thank ya kindly...
A joy to see animals being lovingly cared for and valued as the precious creatures they are.My dad in Australia had an old bush horse called Jake who was a loyal companion gentle and kind, dad said if ever your lost in the bush at night on horseback throw the reins down and the horse will lead you home,.....
That little donkey is so adorable. Like a cartoon character!
Anniefanny Charles .....Droopy came by next morning and rode off on him.
Love minnie donks!
They are such characters!
I wonder if he can sing
And in the morning I’m making waffles!
'tis a sweety
Lovely to see such a clean, well tended barn & well cared for animals.
While not surprised that Pancho played the straggler, i am overjoyed to see these precious beings so comfy and happy.
The horses are like hurry up Poncho. You’re letting the heat out! 😂
We had a horse that was sold, that had been born on the property and spent his first six years with us. He was then sold to a 'show home' as a Dressage horse. 7 years later, when Baltazar had to retire due to an injury, the woman who bought him asked us if we wanted him back, for free. We agreed of course. He came home in the trailer. The girl opened the back door, grabbed his lead rope and back him out. All this time the other horses, including his mother...were calling to him. The poor girl didn't have a chance, Balty DRAGGED her from the trailer, into the barn and right back to his old stall. This horse was gone for 7 years, yet he knew exactly what stall was his. It's not unusual for horses to know their own stalls or pens, most of ours put themselves in for dinner, then to bed.
Denise Mobers absolutely amazing !
Was the girl ok?
Yes...she was laughing the entire time. He was just so happy to be home. He's never been a mean spirited horse, just always cool calm and collective. It doesn't matter if you rode him yesterday, or 6 months ago..he's always the same.
That is a very sweet story and a testament to how well you treat your horses. Thank you for both.
Denise Mobers aww. He’s home at last. Horses are amazing.
Little Poncho says, "Well, okay, so long as you know it's MY idea." :o) I'm saving this video. Thanks, Annette
Thank you for the info. on the Jerusalem Donkey. I googled the story about the cross he bares on his back and it’s beautiful how our Lord and savior could bestow a tribute of loyalty and love to the humblest of God’s creatures.
Often on cold winter (-30) mornings we would find the milk cow bedded down in the barn with her calf beside her and a couple cats on top of her all sharing heat. It’s great to see clean well maintained barns for your animals.
Their barn is clean and tidy....nice to see!!
And of course every barn needs a cat. 😊
Of course.
Barn Manager
Upstairs cat has to be the manager.
I would like to know kitty-cat's name! Bet that's a "mouse free" barn.
I would love to have enough someday to manage a small barn on my property. Save some street cats and make them kings of a castle as well as other good animals.
Our seven horses were well groomed too. They walked slowly and always in the same order to their box stalls after saying hello to my daughters and me upon getting to the stable. It was pure delight, every time a magic moment.
This tickles me. I’ve watched it several times.
I do rescue work at a ranch with 12 horses. And I adore those horses. So nice to seem the three here and the donkey treated so well.
So nostalgic for me. Love all the smells I remember: horseflesh, hay and straw bales, grain, and leather; and the sounds: clip clop, creak, munch, crunch, breath, whinny, neigh. Wish I got younger as I get older. I would be riding every day.
Terrific, clean, safe warm hay. They know they are loved and safe. God bless. Thats alot of work and money to maintain.
Great job yall.
Thanks 👍
I love the way Poncho pauses for a few moments of contemplation before going into his stable . What a sweet Donkey, and horses!
Just came across this. The fact that they enjoy a routine which includes a safe, warm stall on cold chilly winter nights is a testament to their owner who truly cares for them. Thank you for sharing this video.

I remember this old riding stable I used to go to. She had about twenty horses or so and every dinner time she call them from the field and we all stand back as the horses came running and each went to their respective stalls. It was my favorite thing to watch when I went there. All the horses would be running except the very last horse, who was named moose (because of his size) would slowly come potting up from the rear.
When you know your animals are taking care of, that's the best feeling in the world. There's too many people out there that just get them for show.. We get them because we love them.
It brings tears to my eyes when owners love their horses like this. Such great ❤ care. From one horse lover to another, thank you for sharing.
These animals are not only well cared for but also loved.
Salt-of-the-earth people taking care of their animals. This is what keeps the world running good kind solid minded people who understand our responsibility to the earth and its animals
Marta Martinez thanks..❤️
I had never heard the term the “salt of the earth” until today and this is the second time it’s come up in two very different scenarios lol weird!
And also agree with you!
Poncho is sooo cute, with his gorgeous cross on his back!!!🙏🏽
I love when animals know that they are loved with good homes. 💖
🌾THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS MESSAGE OF LOVE AND COMPASSION FOR GOD'S ANIMALS🌾.
That donkey is the cutest thing ever
Damn ...that makes me second place.
Nice to see the pride you take in caring for your animals.
I like that he makes sure his animals are warm for the night. Good man!
Cross on ponchos back means that he's a good christian & very smart, intelligent & friendly creature who listens & understands when owner calls him to come in so that he is safe at night from all kinds of predators. ❤🐴😍✅
The bars at the top seem a little too excessive in those separate stalls & may even be dangerous if one of em tries to stik his head out & gets head stuck in between the bars. The separate stalls would be better without the bars on them. 🐴❤😍✅
Beautiful horse's, Pancho is adorable. The stall's are so well maintained. Thank you
Now that is the proper barn every horse owner should have for their animal's. No just a lean to but a real barn very nice.
Thank you for sharing, I absolutely love when people post the intelligence, will, and care of animals. They add so much to our lives.
My cousin has boarded and trained horses for decades, and one night while I was visiting, her prize horse was out in a corral socializing with some of the other equines as is their wont. The boarding horse stayed outside, but prize horse overnighted in the barn much like the lot in this video. Cousin came out and casually called "Atrayu, it's time to come in," and like an obedient dog, the horse turned away from his pals and plodded over to his stall. I hadn't expected a horse to do that.
Such a nice place they live in. Food heated warm. You do such an AWESOME job. I wish more people would
do the same as you with how well you take care of the animals. I cannot imagine how well you take care of
your wife. Love all their names...❤️❤️❤️ PANCHO is adorable💋💋.
Skittles31 skittles31 this isn’t a job... this our home along with many other animals... and... I’m not married ❤️
Mikeska Brands Nice place can i come live with the animals. They are lucky to have you..well lucky the gal that will
marry you some day....❤️
This is the first time I have ever heard about a Jerusalem donkey……..having a CROSS on his back. AWESOME !
Aww this was so cute, can't wait to show this to my grandson.😁
They are so precious to watch how well behaved they are. So many people disappoint me due to lack of concern for their animals in the wintertime. I put a pot of tea water on to steam my house to help the 3 kitties in my house breathe in the winter. It helps them relax and to sleep better since they stay inside.
Pancho looked like he wanted to try and close the door then finally gave up, its ok little fella they won't let all the heat out.
If only all the animals on this planet were treated with the respect, love, care, and attention that this gentleman gives to his! The world needs more people like him!
Carol... 💖💖💖
They all look so healthy. Great coats and clear eyed. They find security in routine and the stalls are a place I could sleep in at night. The little donkey was stubborn but he turned in his stall.
So beautiful i wish all animals were so lucky...lovely man too.
This is not the first time I have seen horses do something like this. My grandfather had horses in New England when I was a kid. At one time he had seven horses. He kept them in a four acre paddock and attached to that were stables. On the other side of the stables was a quarter acre paddock he used when he needed to isolate a horse. His horses did the exact same thing. What got them to the door was when the sun set or if it was raining. If it was raining they'd be at the gate waiting to be let in though usually in the daytime he'd leave the gate open so the horses could come and go as they wanted. Some would go run out in the rain for a while then come right back to the stables. When it was really cold they didn't want to go out at all. But when the weather was nice they'd want to go out into the paddock. But at sun down they would line up at the gate waiting to be let in. My grandfather would open the gate and they would march single file to their respective stalls exactly like this video shows. Then my grandfather would shut the stall gates but he didn't have to close Mitzy's gate. Somehow she figured out how to shut it herself. She also figured out how to open it herself. She was the only one. Sometimes she opened her gate in the morning and was waiting at the paddock gate to be let out. sometimes she had her stall gate open but was just standing in her stall waiting for my grandfather. She never taught the other horses how.
Love your story. Thank you!
Beautiful horses and Poncho is funny, he can't be rushed, he'll do it on his own time. 😃
I think he was looking for his kitty cat!
Thank you!!!! I miss my horses...YES JESUS IS RETURNING IN OUR GENERATION!!!!
Keep looking up!!!
Poncho was stalling to go to his stall. lol Just like a little kid stalling to go to his room when it's bedtime.
Better behaved than a lot of children I know
You can certainly say that again! 😂
Maybe you're all just terrible mothers who know nothing of discipline lol
Definitely!
I already prefer 4 to 8 leged "children"....
AND CUTER TOO!!
I rent a house out. Dogs and pets are welcome. Kids are not.
I really enjoyed watching this trooping of the equine friends - I wish all animals were this well looked after 🥰
Oh my, Pancho had me laughing. What a cutie. And how sweet that these horses know the drill.
Love people who love and respect animal God bless
The horses were thinking "c'mon Pancho, hurry up so he can shut the door"!
Haha 😅true 🐴
Goddamn it Poncho, it’s cold!

I probably won’t see your reply......you Don’t have to Use God’s Name in Vain !
So heartwarming. It's great when we take care of our animals right. Kinda puts my bedroom to shame though, but don't tell anyone. 👍🏽 farming
Pancho looked like he didn't want video proof he would go to his inside home. Lol
All the horses are beautiful but little Pancho reminds me of me.....a stubborn blondie 😄❤️
*I FIGURED OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON??* It looked like Pancho is like the security guard/supervisor, he(1:55 - 2:08) just had to do a quick look around, then checked outside from inside the barn doorway, then he(2:18 - 2:25) did a head count & verified all the horses were good for the night. Finally, Poncho(2:25) had to wait for the cat walking down the steps, to do it's head count & make sure it made it to the floor safely, lol. At least it looked that way to me, but honestly I know nothing about horses/donkeys except there beautiful, amazing & smart animals from what I've heard.
I think you're right bc Donkeys are territorial and a very good alarm system and home defense! Donkeys will run off coyotes, dogs, etc.
LOL
@@CJPDX - You're right. Our neighbors across the road have a donkey and some cattle. Sometimes, in the night, we hear him bray. Comforting sound, actually. Like the rooster's crow in the morning.
Spot on!
Lived in city and could see that. Like...a job.
Aww! Pancho didn't want to go to bed!
Hahaha that's exactly what I was saying. Like a little kid, stalling to go to his stall. lol
It's "Small One"!
Super cute!
Poncho : "I'll go when I'm good and ready.......ok........ I'm ready .
Wicked Amoeba : I got the distinct feeling that Pancho is scared of the owner. That concerns me.

Pancho's like any kid that gets bragged about! Gonna prove you wrong! Adorable, glorious animals!
One of the sweetest things I've ever seen. I didn't know horses would be that cooperative...dummy me.
That was awesome! Wish more people with animals could show the love!
hey! smart little donkey maybe sensed a pred out there earlier and wanted to see that the door was secured! i love that so tiny a creature is also so greatly alert and responsible! that is why little guys in the barn (or house) make great alarm systems! ; )

Poncho wasn't being "hard headed". He was afraid of you and you standing in his drive line that he needed, to get to his stall.
I can tell you sensed it because you backed away and the more you backed away and to the side, the safer he felt continuing to his stall a.k.a. where the food was.
Cute equine herd....
OMG that’s beautiful. Donkeys are so stubborn but he knows stuff. Amazing home for them all xx
That shows that animals have instincts to go where they feel comfortable and safe.
