This is one of those cars that is why driving "slow car fast" is so fun. ngl... Honda made a very underrated car in the Fit/Jazz. Cheap, great driving feel, with the typical nice Honda shifter in the manual.
Yeah, it's great car for public roads! Almost as fun as a dedicated sports car with all the space, reliability, mpg, cheap maintenance. Really if you do basic suspension, tires, and more power they will hang with the sports cars in the straights, and corners. Sadly they never did a si, it really has the potential.
Honda Jazz won the 'driver's satisfaction trophy' in my country for six years in a row. Practical, insanely reliable and a very well thought of interior.
You had your fair share of idiots overtaking you on yellow on this lap, which just goes to show you the attitude of some drivers to certain cars and those driving them.
My friend has one with 1.8 engine swap from Civic 8, 6 speed gearbox with shortest finał drive and ep3 LSD, some sort of remap,KW suspension and gutted interior. Man that thing is a rocket, i can bet it will go more than 230 before schwedenkreuz hill, we will check that next season

For real right? First that BMW overtaking during a yellow, and eventually not even being able to keep up with this Jazz. What a joke. Than this guy in his Mini being blind as hell.
@@TranceFur yes, but still. Redline shows what that engine was designed for. I saw other engines suffer a lot by just driving far across highways at high RPM. Its actually the worst thing for any engine to be in high revs with no pauze for a long time. Still 6k RPM is not low at all.
I just got a Jazz as a first car a month ago (with the 1.4 i-dsi 83hp we had in Europe), and i'm absolutely loving it, it's a funny and practical car ! Anyway, I just discovered your channel and I'm very happy to see some appreciations of those cars ^^
I am blown away both by how slow in a straight line this car is and also how well it carries speed through a corner. Very well sorted front drive chassis. Reminds me of a beater Saturn I used to have that I would go canyon carving with, but that car was much faster than this one in a straight line somehow. 2200 lbs and ~125 hp so it wasn't as slow as you'd think, but not exactly winning drag races against V8's either. Probably my favorite thing about that car though was that you could push that thing right to its limits and if you were on a windy road, you could barely crack the speed limit with it on the short straights. In my opinion this is the best kind of car to rip up and down mountain roads. Fun to toss around but not fast enough to get you in trouble.
I really enjoyed the lap. Super fun car. Great conversation between you two. I would love to hear the conversation in the other cars as a Honda Jazz leaves them in the dust, even for just a short time.
Wicked car, most people would not expect these to be so much fun💪 They’re also super reliable chain driven 1.4 engines This was a really happy episode to watch ❤

well you have a much newer generation. The "GD" fit which this is was sold in the US from 2007-2008, they have the L15A which is only 109hp. You probably have the 130hp L15B which was in the "GK" fits sold from 2013 - 2019.
If you change to IK22 plugs over IK23 and run premium gas, the ecu in these cars will actually advance timing after a tank and a half of gas or so and you pick up approx 3% hp gain. I actually felt it in my butt dyno slightly. Vtec also sounds way more obvious with a cold air intake as always. These cars were sold for 91 octane in japan, but the engine specs are identical to NA.
The 83hp engine is the 1.3 i-Dsi one, no vtec. Two spark plugs per cylinder though. They have a decent low/midrange for what they are but no top end at all.
I love this, just shows you dont need a fast car to enjoy the lap. Lot of this cars are underestimated but with few mods of handling they do really well around a track.
