This is what i call a review. Someone that shows what he says for example edge/hair light boom on/off comparison etc. Really good review and answered all my questions! Finally someone not just reading out the specs while getting lit up by a 2000$ lightning setup :D
Thanks, this was exactly the comparison and review I was looking for. I've avoided Elgato for so long because of the lack of direct control (without their big desktop deck) but was feeling like I had no other option where I am. This is perfect. Thanks!
I'm looking for lights to take when I travel and use at home. Is it better to take one light with a softbox vs led light panels? And is there a way to diffuse them more if the led panels? I noticed on this video that your glasses are reflecting a lot with the godox, vs your softbox setup. So while the softbox might be bulkier, if it's one light vs a couple, is that better? I'm also thinking of taking a pop up green screen in case I'm somewhere with a bad background. If I do this, then any tips on lighting this on the road? I'm ok to spend a little more to get the right setup. I also hated Elgato as they didn't connect, and operating with just the app is crazy. Thanks.
Hey there, the second soft box is called the “D-fuse Circle Softbox” and I got it off Amazon! I believe I have the link somewhere in the description, probably in one of my kit links
I was thinking about buying the aputure amaran p60c light but the problem is that I haven’t seen a desktop arm that fits its weight (as far as I see the max weight is 3kg and the amaran weight is 4kg). If I have to put the light behind the desktop I will have to move the desktop in the middle of my mini home. It would be very inconvenience. I guess the quality is not so good but this light can solve my issues. I want to use it to record vlogs for my small business (illustration and digital stationary). Do you recommend to buy this one instead the amaran or there is an arm that can do the job for that type of light?
F@ck me. I came so close to pulling the trigger on a Godox 100W Bi, a heavy duty stand and a sofbox for around 300+ the other day. I hesitated last second. Then today I came across this light on UA-cam and it may be just what I'm looking for instead.
I think you should rethink if you value space or how much light you'll get out of it. I have both the ES45 and a 150W Daylight. Both have their use cases. If I have a small space, I'll go for the ES45 as it's pretty bright and bi color. However if I want long term versatility and want the ability to light up a bigger space, I'd go for the Godox 100W, 150W, etc type of light. You can always get different light modifiers on them a well. The ES45 that wont be the case
Nice! You can always upgrade later down the road to those larger lights. Also small tip, the small magnetic controller that comes with the ES45 you can use with other godox lights which is really handy 😀
The e45s are to bright they cant go low brightness. I need help finding some way to make them not so painfull.would a soft box help if so do i need to disign and build my own or is something available already??????
If you had them coming from the same angle, the brightness maybe be similar but a softbox with any light will give you better diffusion and softer look on your face. If space is an issue, I’d go with 1 (or even two of these Godox lights from 2 angles). If you have the space, get an Amaran 60x or similar and softbox. Hope this helps! 🙂👍🏽
@@jerrypflorida was gonna order two Godox last night but glad I waited. These seem easier to set up than a 60x in a tripod and then adding the soft box. But I rather got for the quality. Gonna go with the 60x. Maybe I can use a godox as a hair light or something on the side. I’m ordered a kiyo pro ultra, can’t wait to see what it’ll look like with the 60x lighting

*Thanks for the great informative review 👍 ✨ ✨*

Jerry, thanks for the review. I think this light might work in my tiny space.
Thanks Jerry. I bought a pair…any advice on pairing the channels?
Hey there! I actually only have one (planning on buying another) so I don’t know how pairing channels work at the moment.
Im getting that light! Great video btw! Which more light should I buy to complete my filming setup ?
I will be using a green background! Would it be worth to get a second one for backlight or it makes no sense ?
🙋🏼♂️🇪🇦. Eso se llama "una review de primera". Gracias 👏👏
Thanks for this! Physical controls.
Is there any way to power it from a battery? It’s pretty compact, so it would be a shame if you always need a wall plug to make it work.

what softbox do you recommend for the godox sl60w? I think this keylight would accentuate a lot of my receding hairline.
well done - thank you
hey jerry, do you know if the controls link? like if you have 2 of these lights could you just use one controller?

Does that ball head that it comes with fit in the elgato system?

Would 2 of these lights would the lighting be similar to just using an amaran 60x with a soft box?

Can the wireless controller be charged without placing it on the back of the light?
Yep! Via USB-C 👍🏽
@@jerrypflorida They offer soft boxes for these kind of light. Would you recommend it if im trying to light a subject with very little light?
didnt mention built in battery wth
Does not have built in battery. Only remotes have built in battery
man... you reviewed it... but showed us 10 seconds of the actual light and they you carried on to sample it as back light? :/
nice effort tho
thank you 🫡
