    I think you ought to take one for the team and take a foreign language CLEP. You can let us know how long it took you to learn a language in DuoLingo or Babbel to pass the CLEP.

    Although Micro Econ was not on the list, I passed this CLEP exam today with a score of 58. Macro will be the next one I take soon!

    I just took the Sociology CLEP test and it was so hard. It was nothing like the study material out there and I barely passed. I honestly thought the College Algebra CLEP test was easier because of study material and how reliable it is.

      @@CollegeHackedI used Modern States, a few test information guides from College Board that were a few years old, and some AI to give me some sample test questions.

    8:45: Minor nitpick on No. 2; for the Spanish Writing CLEP- which is basically the enhanced version of Spanish Language Levels I & II CLEP, even though the College Board’s website doesn’t frame it this way- despite actually being more challenging (Five Spanish Language essays in MLA format in only three hours!), a weirdly huge number of colleges don’t accept this as transfer credit, and will instead only accept the “reduced strength” Spanish CLEP for credit. Still, boss uploading! :)

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  3 місяці тому +2

      Bummer! The ones we work with most often give full credit for it, so haven’t run into this. Thanks for the heads up 😎

      @@CollegeHacked Np! Unless they didn't update either their website or their College Board profile appropriately, TESU (surprisingly) appears to be one of the ones that don't accept the Spanish Writing CLEP (kind of bizarre considering the similarly-themed- and more formidable- NYU language exams ARE already accepted by them, but what do I know, lol).

    Unfortunately Clep exams are only available in the US

    • @MateDrinker33
      @MateDrinker33 3 місяці тому +2

      Not quite true; you can take these remotely as long as you have either Windows or macOS. If you meant to write “available AS CREDIT” outside the US, this is still not quite accurate; I haven’t researched it in detail, but I’ve told that CLEP does have limited acceptance in Canada, the UK, India, and also the Philippines. I haven’t seen specific examples, though. It does have very little- or potentially no- acceptance outside of the Anglophone world, though (meaning that it’s mostly useful for only for US degrees earned from abroad [actually allowed by SNHU & TESU; there are likely others]).

      And Webster University is based in the US but has campuses all over the world. I was in MBA classes with Europeans, Asians, and Africans in their home country attending Webster in hyrbid form through their local campuses and online. They would likely take CLEP at the undergrad level.

    I have a question, I plan on going to school for business management (AAS) degree and there is only one English course to complete to earn 3 credits. It’s also at a community college. Why not college comp modular?

    • @MateDrinker33
      @MateDrinker33 3 місяці тому +1

      His emphasis was that “MOST” colleges don’t accept the CollCompMod CLEP (UWM already comes to mind; there are literally hundreds of others); if yours does, go for it! :)

    How many years are claps good for? Do they expire?

    • @MateDrinker33
      @MateDrinker33 3 місяці тому

      Only after 20 years board-side (this is explicitly mentioned in the FAQs on the official CLEP website if you [understandably] don’t trust random strangers on the internet). Note that US colleges DO still usually reserve the right to deny transfer to excessively old credits, but this is mostly a thing for technology-based credits (e.g., TESU only allows tech credits older than ten years on a case-case basis, WGU’s CompSci program once required Calculus credits to be no older that five years [no idea if they still have this rule], etc.). If you’re asking from the perspective of someone who has extremely old CLEP credit (#ripthetrigonometryclepyoullalwaysberemembered 🤣 ), I would check your preferred schools transfer and/or challenge exam policy. Stay awesome! :)
