Which one should come first on the master chain? Mixroom or Bassroom ?

We recommend that BASSROOM go just before your limiter. It’s like a final touch plugin that can balance out the final errors in your mix (though If the low-end is way off when mastering I also use an instance at the start of my chain…)The max gain change for each band is +-6dB so the movements are fairly small.
MIXROOM is a little more versatile and can be used anywhere in the chain. The gain range is up to +-12dB so you have a little more control. I personally like to use it once I’ve done the majority of my processing. I get the audio sounding as good as possible then MIXROOM helps me elevate it another 20%.

I am wondering why bassroom doesnt have auto add bands and gain scale like mixroom? I have bassroom and absolutely love it but I have been wondering the "why" behind the decision.

You can use MIXROOM and BASSROOM on your master. But FUSER should be used on individual channels.
