  • In part 2 of our series on the restoration of the International Harvester B275, we finally get the engine running!!! However, this then leads us to more issues and problems with this tractor. It's starting to look like being one issue after another with this beast.

Great video. Useful too for my B250, which is basically the same engine setup.

What also might help when starting is to have the lift arm control lever in the down position which will stop the hydraulic pump from building up pressure with no where for the oil to go, 👍i have exactly the same engine in my B250 and find it actually starts better without the cold start being used 🙄 that tractor would be well worth saving as i think you would find it would out perform the dexta no problems and depending on which 35 you have give it a run for its money 💪💪

Howdy, I've picked up a B250 (~1955) with similar problems and setup as the B275 by the looks so these videos very helpful and already answered a lot of queries thankyou. I've got issues with the glow plug setup and replacement ones got in Oz slightly longer than original and were shorting out. Will stay tunes though to see how you go!

Amazing work you put in to make it run again. Great video, will there be a part 3 of this B275? Would like to see if you can free up the fan and also fix the leaks.

Throw away that starting fluid! Use the glow plugs, if that engine were a Perkins your piston ring lands are broken now , make sure it’s full of oil
