- It's the first vlog of a new Disney Cruise Line Series! I'm sailing on The Wish for a 4 night cruise out of Port Canaveral to Nassau and Disney's Castaway Cay, a private island in the Bahamas. In this vlog I'll fly to Orlando and spend the night at the Hyatt Regency at MCO (literally inside the terminal) and then it's off to Port Canaveral for Debarkation Day! I'm joined by my wonderful friend Adam Hattan on this adventure and it was truly an incredible cruise. I'm so glad you're here!

I mean, I'll admit, we aren't good at everything. We both have blind spots. But we are AMAZING at going on cruises. Like maybe the best in the world.
The Hyatt Regency at the MCO airport is the beginning (and ending) of every Disney World trip we make! Love, love, getting off the plane, grabbing our baggage, checking in, and then hanging at the lobby bar!!! The bartenders and the food are the BEST!!!!
I love that! Fantastic way to ease into the week.
We once used that MCO Hyatt via "Resort for a Day". We got off our cruise, and our flight wasn't until 6pm. It was a great place to nap, get some food, take a shower, etc. TOTALLY worth the expense to NOT have to hang out in the airport all day long. (neurodivergent gal here... I need non-chaos as often as possible). And agreed - it's VERY QUIET.
My orange olive oil cake is in the oven. Thanks for keeping me company in the kitchen. I am not a cruise person, but you may just be persuading me to reconsider. And you're so kind to adam even though he BROUGHT SO MANY SHOES!
BWAHAHAHA right?! No he's right - we all can travel how we wish (and that's entirely too many shoes;). Also orange olive oil cake sounds heavenly!

We have stayed at the Hyatt a couple times when we had late arrivals and it was so easy with the kiddos to crash there for the night rather than make the trek to Disney super late. Both times we had a good night’s sleep, hopped on an early shuttle and still made it to the parks for rope drop!

Hi Jen, love your tours of the hotel rooms. You look for the important things I look for as a mostly solo traveler. It is always safe to fly in a day before cruise not to miss the ship.

I've been at MCO a million times and have never known what the hotel rooms at the Hyatt looked like. Thanks for showing us. It's really a surprisingly lovely hotel. Oh, and I don't think I showed it, but they do have complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning for hotel guests.

Arendelle is just exhausting! The noise and way everyone is crammed in… there’s no hope of a conversation either… great show, but our least favourite restaurant across the fleet. (We bailed on marvel, so will look forward to see what you make of that)
Nice to see Nightingales quieter… again, rammed and unpleasant when we were aboard.

Standing up for adam....... I brought 5 pairs of shoes on my last cruise. Glad I did I started to walk to Palo and my shoes fell apart so back up pair to the rescue

Yes, great verandah and nice bathroom in an accessible room. HOWEVER, if you have trouble walking (like my mom), note that a lot of these rooms are at the END OF THE SHIP! Meaning you have a long walk to the elevators. Ready to follow along with Jen and Adam!!!

I was on the Wish April 26-29, 2024, the only thing that was slightly disappointing was that we didn't have Olaf at Arendelle.
I love my little DJI camera. Only bit of trouble I had was adjusting the frame rate so when in low light it didn't create a strobe flickering. Now that it is fixed it's a joy to use for capturing my own little adventure clips.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.
YES I've been messing with the settings quite a bit (one of the things I did on the cruise) and I think I have it where I want it? I'm taking it to France in a couple of weeks for it's first real on the job work so I'll report back!

I just saw Adam on embarkation day of the Wish a week ago! Did he do a back to back because it wasn't this cruise? 😂 It was so awesome seeing him and were with him on our munster drill as well! Wish we could have seen him around the ship more! Love your video showing your experience! ❤ I'm like you and start getting anxious about not being early and not getting there on time either 😅

So excited to follow along with you on the Disney Wish! Which Disney ship would you say is your favorite? We’re sailing on the Magic next month and I feel like the Wish is a must after that.
I’m OCD so I’ve been bringing my own pillowcase since my early 20s 🙈
My curls are down to my waist and Instead of a pillowcase I travel with a silk lined beanie instead - I have a lightweight one for hot seasons and a warmer one for winter. It also is nice to just have if I dont wanna mess with my hair when I'm traveling.
Silk bonnets have been a life saver for me and my girls. I am the only one with curly hair, but it stopes their hair from getting all knotted.
Yes this has been on my mind!! I feel like it would bug me in the night but you're not the first one to recommend that to me.

A quick note: You mentioned that DCL passengers can use an existing MagicBand on Disney ships, but that isn't exactly true, evidently. Here is what the DCL website says:
Q: Will my existing MagicBand work on Disney Cruise Line ships?
A: No. Previous versions of MagicBand are not supported on Disney Cruise Line ships at this time. However, you can use MagicBand+ as a DisneyBand+ on your Disney cruise.
Q: Can I use my MagicBand+ on board Disney Cruise Line ships?
A: Yes, your Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort MagicBand+ can be used as a DisneyBand+ on select Disney Cruise Line ships and itineraries.

We discovered Adam in the Covid times… along with “sparkle with Sophie” who since seems to have stopped vlogging.
We then got to a “post covid staycation” in the UK and said hi to Adam on board, just after Sophie had vlogged her staycation cruise.

If you go to the main page for Disney cruise lines and search for a cruise with no filters, it will list them by price. That's generally how I've found the best prices.
hi jen i love your stateroom I also I´m. a curly hair person but I have it short I had it long all my childhood and my early adult years but my mom convinced me to cut it and I did I have been having it short for 5 years and I will not let it long ever again is so convenient 🐁

Yes. There's been one in every stateroom I've been in.
I always bring my own pillow case ( if I can’t bring my pillow) but that’s because I am really sensitive to the smell of bleach, 😂

Yes I have used Uber black but I've had enough bad experiences in Orlando with uber that I prefer a private service.

An actual fridge gets way colder. So if, for instance, you were keeping medication there it wouldn't be cold enough (guest services will bring you an actual fridge if you need one, no extra charge!). Great question!

My dad had diabetes so I'm always very careful to mention things like that and sharps containers, etc. It's a small thing but can be a pain if you don't know in advance to ask for a fridge!

Not a crazy question at all and ABSOLUTELY. I've seen it happen. Just tell them you'd rather not and they just have you walk on in. Interestingly, when the Wish first set sail they weren't doing it but people were sad and missed it so they brought it back. They 100% do not HAVE to do it.

She really is! She's also a very good human being as well as being great at her job. Love her.
Okay, the pillowcase thing. Yes, it's a thing. My daughter stayed near the beach in a hotel. She has sensitive skin. They must use strong bleach. Now, at the beach you're in the SUN! She couldn't go in the sun because her face got a terrible rash from the pillowcase. We went to see the doc when we got home, she had to take hydrocortisone on her face for a week to get it to settle down. So she now packs her own PILLOWCASE!

I love when you and Adam travel together! Our first Disney cruise we had a Navigator's balcony. The view is just as good and having that one solid wall makes it feel more private.

I have used Myers Transportation before and have always had a great experience with them. I think I’d fly into Orlando and go to a random park and then take Brightline to Miami and catch a cruise or the other way when the cruise ends. Love you and Adam together!!!
Was just going to comment that we've stayed there often when heading to Disney or a Disney Cruise, but then Brooke joined you and I was reminded of the day I got to meet her at the W&D Expo, having recognized her from this channel. I am SO excited for this vlog series! I am a mom of 5 & 7 year old boys and I cannot wait to take them on our first Disney Wish cruise in October. My MIL and husband are coming along also. Family getaway time! We all went on the Magic for a double dip Castaway cruise in September 2023 and we all loved it! My boys have been talking nonstop about our next cruise!🚢

Yes, silk pillow cases are easier to keep track of if a different color. I have left some in Hershey, PA. Ugh! But now I also hang a hanger on the handle of my suitcase to remind me to take them off before I zip up. Like the old tie a string on your finger trick.

We just stayed at the Hyatt and we loved the stay. Our valet service was so amazing, Ronie gave us so many many great trips for travel. We went from Orlando to Orange Co. airport in Anaheim, then stayed again on the way back from Anaheim to Orlando. We originally drove to WDW from NC, so this hotel was such a wonderful treat for parking, food and handy for flights!

It's a very light floral. I'm not an expert on explaining fragrances but it's definitely quite light and not at all overpowering.

They put it on the door for people who own DVC! It was there when I got there:). I just realized I LEFT it on the door btw (but it's OK because I have like 3 at home;)
