We own a base model automatic. I didn't think much of it until we test drove it and was impressed. After looking at used vehicles for about the same price, we decided to buy the Micra. The gas tank maybe goes down about half in a week (for city driving) and we fill it up when it gets to half, so we're maybe spending $20/wk in gas. Trunk size looks small, but we never have an issue with groceries. Driving it in the first snow fall in Winnipeg, and so far so good!
this is just the kind of car review i like to see, not just some guy giving a two minute run down and saying the same thing a hundred other reviewers have said. You really get into detail and go over every part of the interior exterior you are really specific about the quality of every part of the car i really appreciate it I am actually going to pick one up tommorow the S model and watching your video was super informative man. Job well done!
Not everyone has 31 minutes to watch a car review. That said i like paying attention to small details and such. This and mpg o matic are great car review channels.
I like this vehicle a lot better than the Mirage. The best part to me is that they opted for a traditional automatic, rather than the CVTs Nissan has been infatuated with as of late. CVTs have come a long way, but I am still slow to fully trust them. Too many bad experiences.
That's a load for what they say the price is, by time they add other things to it like freight charges and taxes and other things they say they have to add.
The whole starting at 9995 marketing tactic is getting tiring. I can't see that base trim with roll up windows and manual tran being popular. Step up to auto and it's 13200. I think I heard that also comes with ac but the nissan configuration doesn't make mention of extras with the auto on their build ur car configuration. If your gonna pay 13200 for an auto with very few options I say why not just get the highest trim sr for 2500 more. It seems to come with a lot more goodies and those nice rims and body kit improve the look of it greatly. So I thing the sr is the best value for this model
i think its about how you open the sardines. definitely it will shed crumbs to the right side of the road. majority of the wheels are of course they are.
Yeah, everyone is repeating the $9,998 price, which is BS. You cannot buy this car without paying the $1,400 destination fee. That bumps up the price to $11,398 + tax (still very reasonable, admittedly). Why don't they just say the car is $1 and use that as their buzz-number? "Oh, we forgot to mention the $11,397 destination fee".
yakadee1 yup you got that right, I recently checked this and damn it rose from 10 grand to like 13k plus like what a markup, and don't even look at next version goes from 13k to like 18 k plus wow.
Bullshit that if you want the Manual version you get fucked out of Air Conditioning and Cruise Control. However, the Automatic same trim level comes with both!! WTF is wrong with you Nissan!
I'm pretty sure it's the ugliest car of 2015 but I like how it's cheap, I like crank windows (power windows from my experience the motors die in a lot.) I also like how they attempted to make some changes to the design to better suit Canada and our terrible roads. It all really depends on what kind of deals I can get at the dealerships. I will not buy a second hand car in today's market. 3500$ or more for something from 2006 with over 200,000kms on it is terrible and about average.

i bought this car yesterday and i love it !!!! A SV automatic model
This is probably the best car review I've ever seen...Great job.
Regular Automatic instead of those HORRIBLE CVT automatics = that is what sold me on this car.
the model shown is 50% more than the base model. $5k in option for a $10K car is a lot. I'd opt for the base
Great review! Appreciate your reviews of the base models in this Micra as well as Mirage video.
Thanks for this review! Very helpful!
Very good review!!! I do have a comment my tire is "H" rated and not S rated as mentioned In the video the Firestone 710 came in H rated.
would you say the power to weight ratio in this car is the best of its class as opposed to the mitsubishi mirage? (5spd vs 5spd)
Yup.... khuebek. quebec.. Nissan Micra MiKra =)!!!!! 9-12k costs, for a new car it's not expensive

great video friend make more!
how to open fuel tank of micra?
Until they start rubberizing frames and undercarriages for the Quebec market what is the sense in buying expensive cars that rust away
What about bringing back the unkillable Toyota Tercel
Toyota Yaris is modern equivalent.
Wait... Canada drives on the left? Why is the steering on the right side?
if you drive on the right of way you get the left hand drive. so vice versa.

Video is mirrored obviously
its a great car
wait... I didn't catch it. How much is this car? on a serious note, thanks for posting.

Wow this car makes the Mitsubishi Mirage look attractive!
now I want to own two cars... this can be a nice summer time zipper.

the white door handles, stripe and mirror looks very ugly
